YOU?!

"Are you sure it's fine, leaving unannounced?" Lisa asked over her shoulder as the car drove off.

"Of course! I'll still return but for now, I need to take care of a few businesses. He should be able to wait a day or two." Skylar shrugged and returned to going through the documents on her thighs.

"But leaving suddenly will lead to them investigating you and then finding out you're not who you really say you are."

"They still would have whether I left or not. It was inevitable. But, you have nothing to worry about, I have everything under control. They'll only find out what I want them to. Everything is all going according to plan." Skylar grinned evilly and gently pat Lisa on her shoulder. Noticing her worried look, she smiled warmly. "Don't worry, nothing is going to backfire on us."

"I know, it's just.... "

"Don't you trust me?"

Lisa sighed then nodded. "I trust you."

"Then you have nothing to worry about. Just relax and focus on the job I assigned to you. Leave the whole stressful part to me. I got it covered."

Lisa nodded and turned back to face ahead but honestly, she couldn't help but feel unsettled about the whole thing. Call it a hunch.

"Tyson." Jay called quietly.

"Find her!" He growled. "I don't care what you have to do, the lines you have to cross or whatever. Find her! So I can kill her with my bare hands."

"I don't think that'll be possible. Killing her will just make things complicated for us, me in particular. I'm already stressed out as it is, please don't add to it." Apart from Lila and his parents, Jay was the only one who could speak to him in a blunt manner without fear of getting punched or brutalised by Tyson. No one else dared. Tyson was known to be extremely brutal and vicious when pissed, even he didn't know why.

"I don't fücking care!" He snapped angrily. "Just make sure you find her! And that's an order!"

"Sure thing boss." Jay rolled his eyes. He really was exhausted. Ever since Skylar came into their lives three days ago, it's been one thing after the other and he had barely gotten any good sleep. He needed a freaking break but asking for such would just piss of Tyson even further.

There was a slight moan behind them and then a soft voice after. "What's going on?" Lila asked softly.

"Good job boss, you woke her up." Jay muttered.

"Fuck off, Jayson!"

Jayson shrugged and headed for the door but stopped in his tracks when Tyson called him.

"Jay?"

"Yes?"

"Don't come back till you find her. If you won't return with her by your side, then don't bother returning at all."

"Seriously?" Jay asked dryly.

"I'm as serious as I can be."

Jay sighed and walked out, muttering curses on his way out.

"I really think you should cut him some slack. You're overworking him." Lila uttered as he walked over to her.

"That's why I pay him. Everything he does isn't for free. He should be grateful for the job."

"But still... He's human and not a machine. He deserves a break, maybe a three day vacation? Or something?"

"I'll think about it." Tyson said dismissively. He definitely wouldn't. "Enough about Jay. How do you feel?"

"A bit weak but other than that, I feel great. I don't ache like I used to and I feel different. Who knew not having a kidney could be so deadly?"

"A lot of people." Tyson said jokingly.

"C'mon, you know what I mean?" Lila rolled her eyes which earned a chuckle from him.

"Do you need anything?"

"No, I'm fine." Lila paused and stared at Tyson in a weird way.

"What's wrong?" He asked, noticing the weird she was giving him.

"You're bleeding."

"Huh?"

"You're bleeding from your nose." She tapped her upper lip region for emphasis.

Frowning, he wiped beneath his nostrils and stared at his blood covered fingertip. "Weird." He murmured.

"Are you okay?"

"Of course! I feel fine!"

"Maybe you should go for a check-up or something just to be sure."

"I'll do that later. For now, I want to spend time with you."

He took her palm in his and caressed it softly. "You look so beautiful, baby."

"Liar. I look like a mess. I haven't had a shower in days and I definitely reek of hospital and antibiotics. It's sickening!"

"You'll always look beautiful to me no matter the circumstances. And no, you smell like fresh blooming flowers." He added with a wink.

"Tyson!" She whined and slightly smacked him. "Don't start!"

"Hehe."

The black van pulled up at a huge company, almost twice the size of the Knight's. Skylar looked at the building with a small smile on her face. The last time she saw this perfection of hers was two years ago. It felt good to be back.

The back door was opened and with the help of the driver, she got down. She was no longer dressed in Jean trousers and a white short sleeved crop top but was dressed in a black pantsuit and a white dress shirt which was well tucked in with a black blazer to match.

Once she stepped down from the van, she inhaled deeply.

"Feels so good to be back."

"Feels good to have you back." Lisa smiled. "We all missed you."

"Well... This time I plan to stay for a long period of time."

Letting out a sigh of relief, she stepped into the building. She could have decided to take the private elevator leading straight to her office but she needed to see how things were for herself and she had missed her colleagues.

"SURPRISE!!!" Everyone shouted immediately she walked in.

"Oh my gosh!" She squealed and placed her palm on her chest. She really wasn't expecting such. She was hoping she could walk in unannounced. "You guys! Lisa?" The whole place was decorated with balloons and decorations of all sorts. Glaring straight at her was a Welcome back banner. "Did you plan all this?"

"Of course! Why won't we celebrate our favorite person for returning after two years of not seeing her? You deserve to be welcomed."

"Oh my! That's so sweet of you all! I totally did not expect this, thank you."

"Don't thank us just yet. There's still more." Lisa nodded her head at the tall lanky guy wearing glasses walking toward them with a bouquet of flowers in hand.

"Welcome back Miss Skylar." He said with a boyish grin.

"Ohh Jeremy, that's so thoughtful of you, thank you." She smiled sweetly as she collected the bouquet.

Each and everyone in the office gave her a gift or two and she was really appreciative of them all.

"And the last but not the least..." Lisa walked up to her with a cake box in hand.

"You didn't have to."

"You're right, I didn't have to but I wanted to so.... open it." When she hesitated, Lisa urged her on. "Go on, open it."

Skylar opened the box to see an eight inched double velvet cake with chocolate toppings, her favorite. On it was written 'Welcome back Skylar!"

"Thank you so much you all. I deeply appreciate it!" She sniffed. She had never been the emotional type but this gestures of theirs really moved her to the point of tears.

"Awwn!" Jeremy faked a pout then pulled her in for a hug. "You're very welcome and you totally deserve it so.... You know, don't think or feel otherwise. Emphasis on those two last words."

Skylar giggled and rolled her eyes. "Whatever!" They all were like family to her, her one big family. From a girl without any family to a boss with a big family. If anyone told her years back that this was where she'd be now, she never would have believed them. It was like a dream come true.

"Can we eat the cake now? I'm starving!" Jeremy groaned which led Skylar to shake her head.

"I've told you countless times! Cake isn't food!"

"And I've told you countless times too that I don't care!"

"You're exhausting!" She sighed, earning a chuckle from him.

"All right everyone! Let us drink and be merry for our sweet, sweet Skylar is back home!" Lisa shouted and everyone whooped.

They spent the next few hours celebrating while Skylar tried to catch up with how everyone had been and what she had missed in the last two years.

While she was talking with Jeremy, Lisa pulled her aside.

"We have a problem." Lisa whispered.

"What's wrong?"

"I was just told there's someone sitting in your office."

"My office? Who could that possibly be?!"

"The person didn't introduce himself. Just walked into your office like he owned it and wouldn't listen to anyone."

"That person has some guts." She frowned slightly. "I'll go handle it, you stay here and enjoy yourself."

"Will you be fine?"

"Always." Skylar smiled reassuringly and headed to her office.

When she got to her office door, she noticed the door was slightly ajar. Taking a deep breath, she walked in.

Immediately she walked in, the person turned around. "Hello, Skylar."

"YOU?!" Skylar growled, balling her fists.
