Make Tyson Remember

"What the heck are you doing here?!"

"Calm down Tiger," He said with an amused chuckle. "I'm not here to cause any trouble."

"Like you would dare." She growled.

He arched his brow then chuckled again. "I see you've not changed at all. Still the same old Skylar."

"What do you want?!" She snapped, starting to get annoyed.

"What do you think?"

"Money? How much?"

"Oh c'mon. Is that really how much you rate me? You know money has never been an issue for me and never will."

"Then what do you fücking want?!"

"Guess." He winked, intentionally teasing her.

"That's it! If you wont say anything then fücking get out of my office. I have better things to do than entertain your unnecessary drag. Get out!"

"Fiesty!" He grinned, annoying Skylar even more. Suddenly, like a switch being flipped, his expression changed to one of anger and seriousness. "I know what you're up to Skylar, I don't approve of it."

"I don't know what you're talking about." Skylar said dismissively as she walked to her desk and took a seat on the chair, crossing her thigh over the other, her fingers intertwined on the desk.

"Yes you do. Do not pretend! I've been watching you."

"The thought of you watching me does not sit right with me. I don't like it!"

"This isn't about what you like! It's about the effect what you plan to do will have on us all. You need to stop! Forget about the whole thing! It's not worth it!"

"Do you really think I give two shits what happens to you or anyone for that matter?" Skylar asks dryly with a bored look on her face.

"You should."

"Well, I do not. There, you have your answer now please, leave my office."

"You have no idea what's at stake, do you?"

"Trust me, I know exactly what's at stake. I never do things without knowing exactly what consequences it'd warrant. I know what's at stake and I honestly do not care. You'll just have to accept it." She shrugged and reclined in her seat.

"If you go ahead with this, you'll be forcing the council to take actions against you. They do not approve of your methods."

"Let them come. I'll be ready for whatever they throw at me."

"You!" He growled, his chest heaving violently. " Why don't you ever listen?! Why are you so freaking hard headed?!"

Skylar smirked. "Why do you think?"

His expression turned to one of shock and fear. "You remember?"

"As clear as day, my love." She winked and he nodded.

"Now, I understand. I'll be back Skylar, this time with an army and I won't go easy on you. I promise you that Skylar."

She grinned. "I'll be waiting."

With one last look at her, he walked out. Once he was gone, Skylar took a deep breath with her palm on her chest. The whole bravado attitude was all pretense. She was scared, really scared and she was all alone. Tyson needed to remember who he really was and fast. She was banking on it.

She closed her eyes and let out a sigh. She didn't plan to return to him until two weeks had passed but now, it seemed she'd have to return to him earlier than she planned and by earlier, she meant that very day.

She picked up her office cell and dialed Lisa's number.

"Hey, what's up?"

"I need you to get the van ready. I'm leaving for the hospital."

"Why? What's wrong? Was it because of that guy? I saw him leave not long ago and he looked pretty pissed off."

"I'll explain later. Just.... get the van ready." She said in an exhausted manner. The whole welcome back party was over now. It was time for her to begin what she really returned for; To make Tyson remember.

"Got it. I'll call you when it's ready." With that, the call ended and Skylar reclined in her seat, patiently waiting for the call.

XXXXX

Tyson had just finished undergoing a test to find out why he was bleeding from the nose and was told to return in two weeks for the test result.

He left the Doctor's office and headed for Lila's ward. She was recovering well and would be discharged early, the next day. He really couldn't wait. He was tired of the strong smell of blood, disinfectant and antibiotics. He needed to smell something fresh like the lavender scent in his office. He loved the smell of lavender, in a way, it helped calm his nerves and at that moment, his nerve needed serious calming down. He hadn't been to his office for almost a week and he didn't like it. He trusted his employees not to mess things up because he hired the best of the best but still, he needed to return to his office to feel completely normal again. Not that he regretted taking time off to look after Lila. It wasn't her fault that her kidneys completely failed her. He was really glad Skylar came to the rescue at the right time even though her condition was preposterous.

Skylar, a mysterious lady with no records, no past, no nothing. She basically didn't exist.

"If she doesn't exist on any papers, then who the hell did I talk to? Who gave up her kidney for Lila?" He asked out loud. He rubbed his temples with his fingers. He was too exhausted to think about anything. He really hoped Jay found something or that she came back as soon as possible so he could ask her in person. He had the ability to detect when someone was lying. It was a weird talent. The only other person who knew about it was Jay, not even Lila knew but the best thing about the ability was that he could decide if he wanted to read the person or not to find out if the person was saying the truth or not.

He walked toward the window in the sitting area and looked through it, quietly watching the cars zoom by, deep in thoughts.

Just as he was about to turn away, he saw a black van with tinted windows park at the hospital entrance. He placed his face on the window to be sure he was seeing well. "It can't be." He murmured. A middle-aged man got down from the van and walked around to open the back seat. Some seconds after he opened it, Skylar got down dressed in the clothes she left the hospital in. "That can't be her, can it?" He murmured to himself.

As if sensing him, she looked up and they locked gazes. Tyson took in a deep breath. She looked different, completely different from the lady he saw sitting all by herself with her humongous glasses but he knew it was her. Even from the distance, he could recognize her eyes, her beautiful black eyes. A very rare eye color. Her gaze which could literally look deep into one's soul.... At least that's how it felt.

He suddenly jumped back as if burnt by something and slapped himself hard. "What the fuck is your problem, Tyson, you need to snap out of it. That Skylar is a freaking imposter, you need to call the police and have her arrested and properly investigated. But is that a way to repay her? You already repaid her by getting married to her, the deal is done. But either way, she still saved Lila's life. Without her, we'll probably be mourning Lila right now. Maybe I should just give her a chance to explain herself." Tyson said over and over to himself as he paced around, trying to come up with what to do with Skylar when she reached his floor.

Finally, Skylar got to the floor of Lila's ward and saw Tyson pacing around. Immediately he saw her, he stopped pacing and they locked gazes again.

"Good day." She nodded. Without a reply, Tyson launched at her and grabbed her tightly by the arm.

"Who the fuck are you?!" He growled and gripped her harder.

"Let me go, Mr. Knight." She said calmly.

"Answer me!" He shouted and shook her.

"Let. Me. Go. Now!" She repeated without flinching.

He held on a little tighter before finally letting her go. "Who are you?" He repeated, a bit calmer.

"Who I am is none of your business."

"Yes, it is. We're married! I have every right to know!"

Skylar arched her brow and then doubled over in laughter leaving Tyson dumbfounded. "I didn't say anything funny."

"Of course you did." She giggled. "Being married to me doesn't give you the right to know about me. If I say I am Skylar then I am Skylar. Accept it or leave it."

"Where did you go?"

"That, Mr. Knight, is also none of your business. As long as we're in this so called marriage, you'll only know what I want you to know. You can run an investigation on me as much as you like but trust me, you won't find a single thing."

"Who the fuck are you that you could have an entire record of you erased even from the government's database?"

"In due time love, in due time." She winked and pat his cheeks lightly.

Just as she was about to take a seat, there was a loud scream from Lila's room.

Both Skylar and Tyson rushed over to find out what was wrong. Immediately Tyson barged into her room, he saw her holding the remote control to the TV in her ward. She looked at him with total shock then anger.

"YOU MARRIED MY KIDNEY DONOR?!" She yelled out loud which made Skylar smirk.
