Chapter 6 Officially A Demon Slayer Now

[Senjuro POV]

I plan to have a good conversation with Zenistu and learn a little bit more about his life. AKA the first thing you do when making friends. Anyways. I wanted to relax actually, more like talk and have some time sitting and doing nothing more than complain how bad my life is to a person to who would listen and I wanted to make Zenitsu the victim of my talk.

Which did not happen because the very first demon which protagonist himself killed appear in front of me.

Now I would have run away or beat the demon without killing him so he run away and let tanjiro kill the hand demon, thus keep the story line as much as same as cannon.

But unfortunately that was not possible because Zenitsu was there. Now I am sure that If I knock him out then the sleeping Zenitsu will come out but I don't know whether the current Zenitsu is strong enough to handle the hand demon.

And beating him and then letting go is also not a good Idea because that will put a bad impression of me in Zenitsu eyes about me not being strong enough which I don't want. I need to establish a good position from the beginning so all three of the main cast listen to me and some what follow my lead so I can train them and make them ready for what is coming.

So the only thing I can do is to take care of the hand demon right here and take the risk to change the story a little bit.

With my mind set I let out a sign and took out my sword and decided make a good first impression.

So I used the first form of hino kami Ikari (meaning wrath of the fire god). Which by the way my own version of hino Kami Kagura (meaning dance of the fire god). only so I don't have to explain others how I learn hino kami kagura and could say that the breathing is my own variation of flame breathing which I make after getting inspired my a book which I found in my fathers possession.

I was a little worried about the fire which my technique going to leave behind but I will handle it not to mention its only about time people see me using my breathing technique and the real fire it creates so I am not really that much worried about it.

With every thing set and my mind made I took the first form stand. Letting my sword at the same level as my eyes horizontally and making my hands going further back behind my head from the side and drawing the first breath with subconsciously infusing chakra into my body and blade exactly how I train and said the name of the technique.

I feel power coming to me and and the breathing style and chakra both making me surpass my human limitations making me enchance if not super human.|

But just like the training I zoom farward and cut the head of the hand demon in one swipe motion before I even started feeling like getting heated and excited for the fight.

I was not disappointed though, I know only hashira and higher demons can give me a good fight at this point.

I sheath my sword and turn around before answering Zenitsu previous question.

"RENGOKU."

"I AM RENGOKU SENJURO."

For some reason I saw a weird expression in Zenitsu face.

I could not recognize what that was though.

And that all happen yesterday.

Since then Zenistu he fan boying me like crazy.

I guess I over did it a little there.

Anyways coming back to the original goal before I met Zenitsu. I wanted to complete the selection exam. Which is a 7 day affair altogether. So now 5 days of the exam already passed I only have to wait for 2 more day and this exam will end and I will be Officially be a Demon Slayer.

And one I was rested and calm down Zenitsu enough, I once again started my demon hunting routine just like before.

2 days past without any issues. Maybe because I took care of the boss demon early on in the game.

As I made my way toward the selection area once again with Zenitsu who for my irritation and expectation did follow me every were and keep bugging me with his annoying antics.

The first thing I saw was the same scary scar face dude yelling at the 2 little girls again and this time rather loudly if I say so myself.

I saw how he look at me and his mood entirely change. Tension was in the air, and without any delay he attack me jumping at me to punch me right there and then to submission with all righteous fury but I simply side step him and when he tried to throw another punch I give him a karate chop on the head making him unconscious once again.

Shrugging and moving past the now fallen demon slayer like nothing happen at all I when directly to the two little kids and ask them how long since we get the results.

After knowing that there is still some time I go for the second goal which I did not get to fulfil during the exam. I went directly to Tanjiro and initiated a normal conversation.

"hey how all of you are doing, I did not see you in the exam any were. How did your exam go, I am rengoku senjuro by the way" I said first looking over every one but silently moving toward Tanjiro and asking the second half of the sentence direcly looking at him.

"humm it went well, I did not expect so many demon but I learn a lot rengoku-san" said Tanjiro felling a little out of the place as how I talk to him out of no ware.

He was a little wary of me because of my earlier actions but did not let it effect the conversation we had.

While we were having a good talk Zenitsu join us and I make sure I come out not a angry and aggressive but more like self righteous and justice loving person.

[Tanjiro POV]

The test finally is over. I did it, I pass the demon slayer selction. I feel one step closer to help Nezuko.

As I make my way toward the selection area I find the same blond boy who make all the ruckus on the first day again fighting the scary face guy. Or I should say the scary face person out right attack the blond boy.

I again feel like helping the stoping the boy but knowing that scar face guy earlier was bulling the two little girls I let the blond guy handle him.

Which he did rather fabulously. With just a little chop from his hand he was able to knock out the scary face boy like he was handling a child.

I don't know why but, he suddenly start talking to me out of no ware.

I first feel like he is a aggressive person but then I realize that he did what he did because he wanted to save the girls.

He smell like fire and Iron. Not sure why but I can smell this this person is really stong and have good intentions.

As time passes we naturally get to the time when we needed to find a rock metal for our Nikirn sword.

I saw Rengoku-san who told me to call him Senjuro so I guess I should say I saw Senjuro keep checking our all the rock and expecting them by taking them in his hand.

Which might be a very simple and non important action but I could smell power coming out from his hand.

I decided not to think more about it and choose my own rock soon.

I also heard Senjuro telling the girls to pass a message to the sword forger for him. Surprising he said to make his sword fire proof and able to handle high temperature for some reasons.

I just shrug it of as we get out of the selection area.

Before I could go back to Nezuko I heard a voice calling to me.

"Hey Tanjiro, I wanted to ask some thing to you"

As I turn around I find Senjuro their.

"I wanted to ask you something, I was thinking we can start our demon slayer journey together if you want."

I was taken a back at the sudden invitation but then smile and agree with Senjuro.

It would be nice to travel with company. Specially Senjuro he is a good person.

And with we decided to meet at a perticular spot after we get our own Nikirn swords.

And start our own Demon Slayer Journey.
