Chapter 33 Task_1

The forest was particularly dense, yet it was evident that some paths had already been trampled through by others.

The two groups were no more than fifty meters apart, advancing cautiously.

After moving one hundred meters, a Spellcaster shot a green orb into the sky to inform the soldiers outside that it was safe inside.

They moved another one hundred meters without incident.

After over another hundred meters, the leading demon turned around and said, "Captain, the water hole is right behind that mound."

The Minotaur commanded, "Go take a look."

The mound was covered with thick grass.

Three demons climbed onto the mound, squeezing through the bushes, chatting initially, but their voices were abruptly muffled, followed by silence.

What happened? What went wrong?

The Minotaur shouted, but the three scouts did not respond at all.

Waiting for about a minute, the Minotaur said, "We're going back."
