The blackness of the shadow rapidly dispelled from the environment, exposing what had occurred in the scenario.

Senior Kiraya's hit hadn't made the mark. It was a total miss because of who stood in front of him.

At the last second, just as his strike was about to make a direct lethal attack on one of the Plagues, the Monster rank demon swooped in to grab him and take him out of danger.

This left Kiraya swinging aimlessly in the air, missing his objective.

He had not even noticed the tremendous speed until it happened. This caused Kiraya's breath to shudder for a time.

The Monster-ranked demon's face lit up with a mischievous grin as he took joy in the occasion.

"That look in your eyes, Have we met before?"

The Monster-ranked demon took his time examining Kiraya's displeased expression.
