摘要

Everyone was transmigrated and was trapped 2000 meters under the frozen ocean on another planet. Everyone only had a small submarine, to begin with. They were challenged with all sorts of problems such as the lack of food and oxygen, water pressure, turbulence, and even powerful sea monsters and bacterial parasites. There were all sorts of dangers lurking around and the path to survival was deemed to be extremely hard. However, while everyone was worried about their own lives, Meng Lei was able to remain calm as he quickly realized that he could see hints from the system. “A pioneer’s sunken submarine can be found 500 meters away from you. The resources inside the ship will make you the richest person.” “An Apocalypse worm has been detected 1200 meters away from you. Kill it and you’ll become the strongest in the dark abyss.” “A ruin of ancient civilization can be found 4500 meters away from you. Danger level: SSS. What are you hesitating for? Run!”

This is an absolutely amazing story. While the title sounds like the generic types of this genre, the difference is wide as an abyss. The writing quality pulls a huge one over all the others. The author describes the environment so vividly and non-monotonously. The translator did a very good job conveying that feeling to the readers as well. That was only the scenes too. The personality of the main character is amazing, not too exaggerated for a person being transmigrated into a wholly new environment, just a bit better than a chunk of the population. The environment that the story based itself upon is much better than other types as well, since it puts a much more active objective of survival, being unable to stay in one spot, than passive, just waiting for catastrophes to occur. It forces people to survive instantly at the beginning, rather than allow people to muddle around until they have zero prospects. Regarding secrets, this story gives rewards when any secret is disclosed, which is a very nice mechanism, giving a reason for many people, even the most inept for the environment to have at least a chance for survival. In additionally, many of the general knowledge and instructions were given in the beginning, allowing people to have at least a sense of what is happening and what to do, with the consequences of not doing so as well. I may be too excited right now (for the fishies!) to notice some of the small flaws, but there really isn't much. Especially when compared to the other generic stories of this genre.
