See through the façade Part I

“Damn it.” I ground my teeth loudly. Every step was unbearably painful. I had to use a wall to support myself. I glanced across to look at the floor number, and also kept an eye out for the heartless men who had disappeared. At the very least they should have told me what they were here for or where they went.

I did not care whether I was left alone or not. I had been left alone all my life.

But I had a purpose this time. They got in my way and simply disappeared. It was irresponsible of them, even though I let them have their way with me.

Still, they should not leave me alone.

“If I see you, we’ll see about that,” I muttered and licked my lips, shaking my head. I tried to force myself to walk, refusing any help from the staff who offered me a hand. I took a breather, feeling like I had been walking for a long time, even though it was not. It was probably because my body was insufferably weak right now.

It was unfortunate that I could not stop.

I had to find Richard.
