“There’s more to Steve’s death than we understand.”
“Huh?”
“If you help me without telling anyone, I’ll show you the truth.” I did not know to what extent Jordan would be willing to help me, a person who was cloaked in secrecy. But I could not tell him everything I knew. There were things I was not certain about. I needed evidence to catch the culprit.
The only thing that would help me with my plan was this phone.
There must be something good hidden in Joel’s phone. If Jordan did not help me, I would suffer nothing but betrayal and the loss of my people.
Richard and the others would definitely not stop here. I would not be a still target and wait for him to charge forward. I had to persuade Jordan to think about it. I held his hand and gave it a little squeeze, showing him that I really needed his help.
Steve, too.
I would demand justice.
“Don't let Steve die like this, Jordan. Help me and he will not die in vain.”
