Awakening

Chapter 6: The Awakening

Today was a very big day for the Grimheart household. The young lord of the family was getting awakened so everybody was busy with the preparations.

While everyone was busy, The person in question was enjoying his quality time with his little sister.

"Hehehe.. Stop doing that brother." Kiara laughed as she felt tickles from her brother.

"Hehehe.."

Knock knock

" Young Master, The Time has come." A calm voice echoed from the door as Loki cringed at those words.

" Bella, you sound cringe," Loki responded as Bella entered the room in her professional maid outfit.

" But you told me to-" 

"Let's go then. Kia, see you later." He stopped Bella from finishing her sentence as He waved bye at Kiara and left the room.

Bella bowed slightly at Kiara and hurriedly followed Loki.

William and Amelia stood next to each other as they waited for their children.

While they were discussing different matters, Loki calmly proceeded towards his parents with Kiara holding his hand.

Everyone looked exceptionally stunning today with William and Loki wearing a well-crafted blazer suit while Amelia and Kiara were wearing a beautiful gown.

"Let's go," William announced as they moved towards a nearby portal. 

By the way, the technology was quite advanced in this world. There were Teleportation Portals (TP in short) that can teleport you to a designated location. 

He felt a bit weird entering the portal but it wasn't as nauseous as the others described it. 

When he stepped out of the portal room, he was instantly mesmerized by the view outside.

he was right in front of a grand tower that stretched towards the endless skies. It looked ancient and fascinating with all the different inscriptions and pre-historic text etched on its walls. People were going in and out of the tower wearing weird outfits with a long witch hat and a pristine robe hiding their bodies perfectly. 

His mind felt calm and clear just from standing outside the Tower. It was such an exhilarating feeling.

He broke from his reverie after hearing Amelia's soothing voice.

"This is called the Tower of Eden. Only those with knowledge-seeking tendencies are allowed here. It's been standing here from even before the pre-historic era. Your Awakening will be conducted inside since we've already contacted the tower master." Amelia proudly explained as she looked at her children's dumbfounded faces.

" What's this refreshing feeling I felt from this tower, Mom?" Loki teased his sister while inquiring from his mom.

"Since the tower had existed before the pre-historic era. It mutated and got a blessing from the world. So, The concentration of Eden here is much higher compared to other places. That's why you feel refreshed if you get closer to the tower." Amelia explained some information to Loki.

We stepped inside the tower and got teleported in front of a person. It was a middle-aged woman with a noble aura surrounding her.

She had ash grey hair, golden eyes shining with deep wisdom and a youthful face. She was wearing a silver robe and a purple witch hat. The aura surrounding her was quite soothing and calm.

She didn't speak a word just nodded and proceeded towards the door behind her.

My parents greeted her by bowing their heads slightly and then followed behind her. 

She pushed the door open and entered it with us following behind.

"Sit in the center and feel the Eden from the surrounding." Her gaze fixated on Loki as he heard her ethereal voice.

He subconsciously nodded and walked towards the center. His parents stood still at the edge of the room gazing at him with worried eyes. Kiara was not with them as she was too young for this.

Loki closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and started spreading his senses.

He slowly felt a connection build up with the surrounding Eden particles and guided them towards his heart.

As the particles entered his body, he felt exhilarated.

A tense atmosphere surrounded William and Amelia as they intensely eyed Loki.

Suddenly, Loki vanished from the room under the watchful gaze of everyone present here.

Amelia instantly panicked as she used her senses to determine Loki's location.

"Don't worry. He's in a safe place." the tower master responded easing Amelia's worry.

"Where is he, Lily?" Amelia respectfully asked Lily aka the tower master.

"In God's domain. Some gods provide blessings to talented individuals by teleporting them to their domain. Although it's exceptionally rare, it's not unheard of." Lily replied hiding the fact that it had been centuries since someone got a blessing.

Amelia wore a complex emotion on her face as she thought about the consequences of this phenomenon. She was happy for him as he will become more powerful now. But there is a saying " Great powers come with great responsibilities." 

She was worried about her son's future.

"Open your eyes, Child." A majestic and graceful voice echoed as Loki slowly opened his eyes.

He panicked slightly after finding himself floating in the space. But, he quickly calmed his tense nerves as it wasn't the first time he'd experienced something weird. 

" Hmm?!.. Interesting." A musing voice was reflected behind him.

"Who are you?" Loki inquired while following the voice.

"I got a lot of names. Some call me The Forgotten One, Others call me The Playful One. But I'm mostly known as The Deceitful One.." he proclaimed with a hint of playfulness attached to it.

"Ok… so, any reason calling me here?" Loki solemnly asked as he realized that he might be in the presence of a divine being.

"I was a powerful being during my era. I had a playful nature so I played pranks with a lot of gods to pass my time. Some were annoyed while some became frustrated from my pranks. Later, they teamed up and tried to annihilate me. 

'Tried' as I wasn't called The Deceitful One for nothing. I deceived everyone into thinking I was dead but I wasn't. I was in a near-death state so, I used all of my powers to create a divine artifact and perished afterward. Later the artifact got bound to you. 

Now the artifact has awakened, others will get notified that I have an inheritor, they will be searching for you to destroy you in fear of my retaliation but fret not as the artifact can deceive their perception. You just need to become stronger. I will inform you more after you become worthy enough." The voice continued to become dimmer until it completely disappeared.

He sighed hearing the unknown being's words. He unknowingly got thrusted into a battlefield way over his league and he couldn't even back out from it now.

'Am I suppose to be lucky or unlucky?' He mumbled inwardly feeling slightly dejected at the aspect of fighting a god

He suddenly returned to the awakening room only to witness another shock that nearly gave me a heart attack.
