2. Rewriting a Farewell Scene

The twelve years old Yuri took public transportation for the first time all the way to the male lead's residence after knowing the third parties of her parents. In the original story, she ended up angering her fiance with her careless words regarding third parties as the male lead is sensitive in this topic as he himself is a son of a third party. Before things went unfavourable to the villain of the story, the original Yuri was replaced by another soul who have a fully understanding of the overall situation.

Currently, inside the Matte's mansion, the butler inform Grandma Matte of the arrival of the young lady of the Coopers. The old madam didn't waste time and told his grandson to accompany his fiancee as the affairs of the young heiress' parents are now the headlines of the news, naturally the old madam understood the reason of the young lady's sudden visit.

Now on her sorry state, 'Yuri' was personally invited by the the male protagonist himself.

"I—is grandma inside?"

Evo, although confuse, nodded and escorted her to his grandmother.

Yuri seeing the old lady, her action was still restrained with Evo's presence. She then silently asked,

"C—can Yuri have some g—grandma's time?"

Although confuse as the grandmother-grandson pair both expected the young lady is here for her fiance, they both understood Yuri's request.

Sighing softly, the old madam look at her grandson and softly tap the back of his hand. The young master is not bothered at all, he walks out of the scene but did not get too far.

Yuri sadly look at Evo's departing back and when he's no longer in view she hurriedly run towards the old lady. The old madam did open her arms to be able to accomodate the little girl's small frame.

"G—grandma. Grandma." a low sob came from Yuri as her tears continuously flow from her eyes.

Grandma Matte tighten her hug to comfort her more as she caress her hair. "Yes. I'm here my granddaughter. I'm here."

A louder sob heard from the hall as the young lady state vague words but some are still recognizable. Just as expected, the reason of her visit was connected to her parents' affairs.

When Yuri calm down the two broke from their hug. The old madam took a tissue from the side and carefully wipe Yuri's tears but soon her hand abruptly froze when the young lady state her next words.

"Grandma, I—I want to b—break the engagement with big brother."

Evo, from afar about to step back from his eavesdropping spot ready to go upstair, stops. His eyebrows almost meet and a confusion is now visible on his face. He want to confirm if he heard it right.

"My granddadughter, wh—what are you saying?"

"Grandma. I don't want to be like mom and dad. I—I want to get married to the person I love and...and to—to the person who also loves me."

A shock appeared on the old madam's eyes as she held Yuri's hand.

"My granddaughter Yuri—"

Yuri raise her head and look at her hands being caress by the old lady. "Grandma, I—I know. Everyone knows. I know Big Brother Evo d—don't like me." She lower her head more. "I like him but he don't like me. I know it."

The old lady's eyes soften as her other hand started to caress the young lady's hair again. When Yuri's hurt and full of sadness eyes met hers, the old madam's eyes almost teared for the child.

"My Yuri. Oh my Yuri. You are still young and so with my grandson Evo. Big brother may not like you now but when—" Grandma Matte stops on her next words when Yuri's eyes grew more hurt as she slowly shake her head.

"Grandma, love can't be force just like mom and dad."

Yuri showed a forced smile to the old lady "I can still be grandma's granddaughter even without marrying big brother. Don't be lonely grandma, hmm?"

A weak smile appeared on the old madam's face and just caress Yuri's hair, "Ofcourse, Yuri is my favorite granddaughter and would only be my granddaughter. Let me accompany you on your way home. I'm sure your parents are worried about you. I also wanted to talk to your parents." 

The old madam stood up as Yuri carefully supported her walking on their way out.

Not from afar, Evo's line of sight was on the departing back of the petite young girl unknown to him his knuckles are subconsciously tighten.

The moment the old lady's focus was on instructing the helpers, a smirk appeared on Yuri's face. She tried not to look at the boy's direction from afar acting oblivious of his stare, Yuri look back to the direction of Evo's room as she gave a smile full of sadness like she's bidding a farewell to the owner of the room

Just like that, the soul inside Yuri rewrite the male protagonist and the villain's farewell scene.
