4.11 Excruciatingly slow

The oracle, the cave, the dead wife of Eclipse, and Xuval being targeted by the protagonist. All this should be related to Shira. Shu XinYi wanted to find and deal with her. Shira was barely mentioned in the world background but in reality she had the most important role in this world. The world background wasn't as reliable as Shu XinYi had thought.

Shu XinYi wanted to meet Shira right this instant but he decided to wait for Xiao B to turn into Xuval. He also wanted to hear Xuval's PoV about when he killed Eclipse's wife, and why was an earth spirit trying to kill him through indirect means.

Shu XinYi didn't use the bronze form at all. Neither did he save it in his reserves. Because it seemed that Shira targeted those who had strong Wood form. This may be the condition for being eligible to hold up the planet. And Shira wanted to get rid of her responsibility or punishment, of holding up the planet.

Shu XinYi didn't travel further from the cave he was in right now. Once Hector woke up, Shu XinYi told him "We will be heading south again. I have to meet up with my friends. Also this is my friend, Xiao B. He doesn't like people so stay away from him." Shu XinYi said raising his wrist forward.

Hector looked at the seemingly normal hand with a red band, trying to figure out who this Xiao B was, when the red band came off from the hand and floated in the air. Hector was very curious seeing this little red miracle. "Um. This is Xiao B? He is cute." Hector said moving in closer, as he reached out his hand to pet Xiao B.

Shu XinYi took Xiao B away and ordered him to rest on his wrist as he coldly said to Hector "Don't touch him. You are not allowed. Let's move."

Shu XinYi exited the cave without any other words, Hector could only follow.

Shu XinYi just waited for the bronze moon to set, while he traveled back. Obviously they were traveling on foot so they had to rest and eat after every 6 hours.

Shu XinYi had to kill an other beast on his way. He wanted to avoid the situation, but the beast kept attacking even after Shu XinYi lit up pure fire. After taking down the beast Shu XinYi carefully looked at the beast's body. Male again. Almost all the beasts Shu XinYi had met with were male, except for the ones from Liyu (Mira's planet). Then who was this so called "Wife" of Eclispse?

"Snow, Who exactly was Eclipse's wife? Do we have some information about her in the world background?" Shu XinYi asked without much hope.

"Master, Eclipse's wife was killed by Xuval 500 years ago. She and Eclipse had been together for a long long time but it is also mentioned by Eclipse that, "She used to dissappear for months, even years at times. I felt like she was hiding something from me, but I couldn't even be angry at her. Whenever she met me after dissapearing, she would be all blooded and battered. She seamed weak like she had been holding up a mountain" There are no more details about Eclipse's wife." Snow said.

This proved that atleast it was not any women from Liyu, so it must be a female beast from this planet. Shu XinYi questioned Snow again to further confirm his speculation, "All the beast we have met uptill now were male. Makes me question, are there any female beast residing on this planet?"

Snow replied after an unnatural pause "That.. There are actually no female beasts. I never took notice until now, Luxin had carried out an experiment later on in the original story. The experiment was about breeding the beasts with humans to see how the forms react and merge. At first he wanted to see inbreeding amoung beasts, but it seemed that the beasts didn't have a single female amoung them. The males too couldn't give birth. It was like these beasts were born from the earth itself. So later Luxin gathered all the healthy omega men and women, to conduct the experiment."

Shu XinYi made a visibly disgusted face. F*cking psycho. Well atleast he could confirm one thing from this talk. Eclipse's wife was none other than the notorious, Shira. Now Shu XinYi had gathered all the answers he could get alone.

Shu XinYi looked up at the bronze moon, which shone with luster at it's seams. It didn't light up the planet like the red moon did, but you could still see far ahead of you. Accompanied by the occasional lights from the lit trees, Shu XinYi ventured with his companions. The time passed too slowly for Shu XinYi right now. He had been living for almost 4 weeks in normal time, without properly meeting his amnesiac husband.

Shu XinYi was thankful for having him around in his Xiao B form, but he still wanted to meet him, talk to him and be with him properly. But he could only be patient. The time only becomes excruciatingly slow the more you think about it. So Shu XinYi focused on his path.

Mira and Ariya, who had travelled far south were now finally done collecting all the items on the list. They too started heading north.

"It will take 20 hours if we directly fly without a break. I suggest we do 5 hour flights and 4 hours rest. It's safer this way. Boss won't mind even if we show up late." Mira said looking at the setting moon.

Ariya replied "Sure, let's move."

Both of them transformed into their bird forms and flew off. One black and one blue bird, sored towards the sky together.

Shu XinYi had already reached the purple tree when the bronze moon was about to set. The purple tree was huge and could be used as a place to rest, so Shu XinYi excused himself from Hector. Hector too stayed nearby the tree to rest. Meanwhile Shu XinYi found a strong branch to relax on. He couldn't sleep at all. Neither was he in a mood to play with Xiao B. Xiao B too was just floating around Shu XinYi, not disturbing or distracting him. It was like Xiao B knew that he should not disturb Shu XinYi right now.

Shu XinYi wasn't thinking of anything in particular. Just random thoughts leading to other random thoughts, forming logical thoughts. Ever since he got the purple form, Shu XinYi felt that his soul had been affected. Well, his soul was affected from technically every form. Since the forms used spritual energy and soul bearing to determine their power. But from the purple form, his soul was differently affected. Shu XinYi couldn't explain this affect to even himself. There was one thing Shu XinYi was sure of though. When he leaves this world, he should still be able to use the purple form in some way.

Out of all the forms, the purple form was the most vague one. All the other forms have set functions. Like wood ability, fire ability, heal ability, metal ability, amplify ability, fibre ability. But the purple form had no set definition. Snow also kept defining it as a psychic form, saying things like, you MIGHT be able to see the future. Or, your instincts MIGHT be 100% accurate. Using the Purple form, Shu XinYi could also look through spacial, physical and mental barriers. So what exactly is this form?

Shu XinYi could only find out how the purple form had affected his soul, after he exited this world. It would be good if Shu XinYi could use the purple Form in other worlds. That way he would have a permenant power to rely on. But would the worlds' consciousness be so generous, to give him permanent spritual powers for free?

Shu XinYi finally focused on his floating husband, who was carefully avoiding to disturb him. Shu XinYi smiled petting him. His amnesiac husband was too understanding even in his amnesiac state. Shu XinYi remembered something and said "Do you still have that ring I crafted? Give it to me."

Xiao B obediently handed it over. Xiao B had kept the ring secure in his little body all this time.

Shu XinYi looked at the ring saying "It's not that good. I want to make a better one. I'll remake this okay."

Shu XinYi got to work, this time he had a lot more control over his black form. He could now inlay and merge metal with random items. Like right now he had inlaid crushed purple stones on the pure black metal ring. Styling and carving it, taking all his time. Shu XinYi was really invested in making this ring. Only when he was satisfied with the result did Shu XinYi relax.

Shu XinYi looked at the very excited Xiao B, who was jumping all around waiting to see the ring. Shu XinYi had told him to go away while he crafted. Shu XinYi called him back but refused to show him the ring. Xiao B didn't react for the first 5 seconds, then with a "plop!" He "sat" on the branch looking away from Shu XinYi.

Hey, This is cheating. You are not allowed to be mad. You did this to me first when you were Leo, Shu XinYi thought. Obviously he didn't say it, instead he said "I made it for you. So you can see it when I give it to you. But I want to give it to you at the right time. Be patient."

Xiao B was still angry. Well, Shu XinYi had just the right words for this situation "Haa.. Cold." Shu XinYi said closing his arms around himself in a pitiful manner. It took less then a second for Xiao B to come back to him. Xiao B wrapped himself around Shu XinYi's wrist, warming him up. Shu XinYi closed his eyes and went to sleep with a subtle smile on his face.

The next morning Shu XinYi woke up to the shining silver moon which had just peeked the sky. Shu XinYi yawned looking at his surroundings. He hadn't slept this heavily for a while, so he was a bit dazed after waking up. For the first 10 minutes, Shu XinYi had no idea what was going on in his life. He was just senselessly patting the floating Xiao B. Only after he felt fully awake did Shu XinYi dropped down from the purple tree.

He politely greeted Hector and walked away towards a nearby stream. He habitually filled his bottle and washed himself up. Shu XinYi also caught some fishes with his small spear. Coming back to the purple tree, Shu XinYi lit a fire to cook breakfast. While his breakfast was cooking, Shu XinYi let Xuval have his Hell fire meal. Shu XinYi could tell that Xiao B was slowly healing. Shu XinYi ate too, even generously offering a meal to Hector.

Hector was too baffled by the sight of the little red ball gobling up a red flame. But he didn't question anything and just accepted his meal.

Shu XinYi had made extra servings for Mira and Ariya, since they should be arriving anytime now.

Sure enough, just when Shu XinYi had removed all the fins from his fish without wasting any of the meaty parts and was ready to eat, he heard 2 people approaching. Hector still had the sword Sceptor had made for him. Hearing the voices Hector picked up himself and his sword. Taking a defensive stance, Hector was ready to fight whoever came forth. While Sceptor had left him, Hector had been through hell and was forced to master basic combat moves.

Sceptor though was still calmy eating his fish. No more like gobbling it up. He ate the finless fish like it was the finest meal on earth. Hector was a bit skeptical of the situation, after eyeing Sceptor.

Shu XinYi was just hungry after a good night's sleep. He said looking at Hector "Don't worry, they are my friends. Sit down and eat." Shu XinYi then again focused on eating. Even when Mira and Ariya arrived at the location, Shu XinYi just greeted them and offered them breakfast. Then he continued eating.

Seeing the eccentric behavior of boss, none of the 2 were surprised. Nor were they vigilant against Hector. They just sat down to have their meal.

After eating Shu XinYi bought out a notebook and a pen. He then said to the 3 "I need your measurements. I want to make clothes for you." Both Mira and Ariya understood but Hector just stared wide eyed at Sceptor, trying to see if he was joking.

It was Mira who explained "Boss has forms of moon. Using the Silver form, boss can make clothes. But since boss is very powerful, the quality of the clothes will be equal to a first class armor. It would be easy for boss as well, since he won't have to use the blue form, trying to protect us. So .... write your measurements." Mira said pointing to the pen and notebook.

Hector too understood and obediently wrote down his measurements. It was a blessing to even find normal clothes in this environment. Getting a first class armor for free, how could Hector even think to refuse.

Hector passed the notebook to Mira and said "I am Hector. I have forms of soul. I hope we can get along." If Sceptor knew these people then it was okay to get familiar. Mira took the notebook and politely nodded, she too had the same thoughts as Hector so she said "I am Mira, a pheonix from Liyu. This is Ariya she i-"

"I am her girlfriend, Ariya. Also a pheonix from Liyu. I am not very polite to those who hit on my girlfriend. But otherwise, Nice to meet you." Ariya cut in, holding Mira's waist.

"Tch. Can't you be even a little decisive? Behave. Here, right down your measurements." Mira said in a calm tone, but her red face was amplified under the silver rays of the moon.

Ariya obediently did as she was told. Meanwhile Hector sat back down at his place trying not to involve with anything.

Taking the notebook back Shu XinYi said "I will be busy working for the next few many hours. You can stay with me or go train yourselves. I have a bad feeling that a battle is due. I never promised to protect you. But I don't want you to go die for nothing. So it's good to train and be reliable for yourselves." Shu XinYi took a deep breath then said "Or you can chose to leave me and go back to your protective spaces. All of us present here got lost on this planet one way or another. Be that for 100s of years (Normal time setting) or only 2 months (Sivaal time setting). It's time we find our way back, to our new or old homes."

Shu XinYi then looked at each one of them and said in an unwavering tone "Mira, I have a way to gather your kind together. I am not doing this out of personal intrest. After that it's on you, how you bring them back to safety. But if you don't want to take on this responsibility, then it's ok. I will still do my best to help your kind regardless. Hector, I also need your help. You have knowledge about things that I don't. I don't know if you still have a home to go back to. And I don't have anything to offer you. But I still request for your help."

Mira looked determined as she said "We'll stay boss. This planet is no home to me. I want to gather my kind and leave, before all of them die one by one. I can only repay you by my insignificant help."

Ariya joined in "My purpose to come here was to save my kind. It still is. Now that I have a chance to fight and accomplish my mission. I won't back out. I'll stay and repay you in anyway I can."

Hector felt peer pressured to say something but after some thought the words just naturally came to him "I don't know how scary it is to fight a battle. And I don't how my knowledge is even remotely helpful, But I don't mind making myself more reliable. Mira, Ariya. Can you please help me train? I swear I won't disturb you in any way."

Mira joked "Sure. But try to flirt with me at times. I like it when my girlfriend gets jealous."

Hector with a straight face "Mhm. Miss Mira, you are charming as ever."

Ariya "Oye oye. Stop bullying me. Miss Mira is mine. Humph."

After this talk the environment became subtly relaxed. Mira ohed and gave her bag to Shu XinYi saying "Boss, All the items are in here. Except the ones we couldn't find."

Shu XinYi checked for a while saying "Good enough, thanks a lot. I'll be heading to the nearest cave. You all don't go far. Be on a look out. You can join me whenever but don't disturb me."
