Adam's P.O.V
I, Adam, once lived in the Garden of Fauna, a paradise created by God's own hand. I was formed from the earth, and my companion, Lilith, was created from my rib. We lived in harmony, surrounded by beauty and wonder.
But everything changed when I, with my curious nature and desire for knowledge, succumbed to Carpophorus's temptation. I ate the forbidden fruit, and she, blinded by love and loyalty, followed my example.
With our disobedience, the Great Tribulation fell upon us. We were cast out of the Garden of Fauna, our once idyllic life shattered. As we left, I felt the weight of our actions pressing down on me, a burden I could never escape.
As we trudged through the desolate wasteland outside the garden, I felt eyes upon us. I turned to see a figure watching us,a being of imposing presence. It was Mammona, the Angel of Greed, born from our fall. His skin was made entirely of gold, but marred with black scorched marks that gave him a fearsome appearance. A spine-like object rested perfectly on his shoulders, elbows, and ankles, and a fox-like creature sat on his left palm. In his right hand, he held a magical hammer that seemed to radiate power.
Mammona's gaze was intense, and his smile grew wider as he watched us, nearly ripping his lips off. I could sense his desire, a burning urge to give rise to the rest of his siblings—other angels who would embody the myriad sins now unleashed upon the world.
"Adam," Lilith whispered, her voice trembling, "what have we done?"
I had no answer for her. My heart was heavy with guilt and regret. The paradise we had known was lost, and in its place, a world of suffering and strife awaited us.
Yet, even as we faced this uncertain future, a small part of me clung to hope. Hope that we might find redemption, that we might learn to overcome the darkness that now loomed over us. But as I looked into Mammona's malevolent eyes, I knew our journey would be fraught with challenges, and our greatest trials were yet to come.
With each step we took away from the Garden of Fauna, I resolved to face whatever lay ahead, determined to seek forgiveness and a way to heal the wounds we had caused. Lilith and I would walk this path together, facing the consequences of our actions, and striving to find light amidst the shadow, yet the terror and fear caused by the creature was intense and raw, like a frseh cut from a newly sharpened knife that I unknowingly tightened my grip around Lilith's waist till she winced in pain.
We would pay a price for this sin and it is going to be a heavy price to win back the trust of our Father.
"Oramus in nomine domini," (we pray in the Lord's name) I said as I looked back one last time at the great treasure we've lost and the newly found creature observing our every step.
