Chapter 78: Meeting the Kids

~Tatsumi POV~

After we all prepared to leave for the location of A08-63 where Emma and her group showed us the way to the forest back to their base.

Just to be on the safe side Echidna also managed to grab some of the golden water from the goldy pond as she wanted to experiment on it and find out more about it.

Everyone already backed up with their guns and medical gear as we all began to walk around the forest with my barriers protecting us from the so-called deformed monsters all around the barriers trying to enter inside.

These things are really disgusting but fortunately, my barriers are strong enough to handle the attacks as the kids are uneased seeing all these kinds of monsters around.

Well, almost all the kids…

*Bang*

Until a shot of Ruby crescent rose as an energy shot through the holes of the barriers as she locks and loads another attack, "That makes 28 shots of those monsters dead, seriously how many of these demons are there in this world?"

Emma hearing this just looks at the barrier and the other chat group members as she asked me with a surprised tone, "Thank you very much mister Tatsumi sir for taking us to the bunker! But how did you do the whole barrier thing and why is it pink?"

Ugh…

Does she really have to point out the pink part?

Hearing Law stifles small laughter he responds to Emma with a smirk on his face, "Pshhh… yeah right little girl Tatsumi here just like the pink color."

Glaring at Law he just returns with a smug look on his face.

*Bang*

With that everyone looks at Ruby continuing her shots throughout the monster's heads, "That makes 29 dead but why are these demons attacking us like beasts while the others were well mannered?"

That was when Ray responded as we all continue onward with a serious voice, "Huh? I guess you guys don't know. Apparently, the demons eat the human brain for them to have intelligence like us otherwise they would become monsters we see outside your barrier. Although I think you guys are many strangers since you don't want to speak how you get here."

Listening to this I responded to the kid Ray I think in a bored and helpless tone, "Sorry Ray was it? How we came here was a one-way ticket for us to help you guys leave. Don't bother asking why just know we are allies to you."

Ray just glares at me because they have no info about us, but they aren't going to argue since we help them out and going as far as to save them with security.

The group of this world didn't argue since we have been helping them, but I can tell they are on guard after all we have powers, and they don't.

Unlike other worlds where if we need to be low-key, we don't have to here since we don't need to hold back against demons and monsters.

Plus, it seems to me the technology here isn't as advanced as it seems if the guns, we have been to go by so that means it's more of the modern side of things and no energy sword or blasters so were good on that part of facing against advanced technology.

Ray just clicked his tongue at this, but Emma just laughs awkwardly at him as she apologizes to me for him, "Sorry about that Tatsumi but Ray is like that. Even I want to know but I guess you have your reasons it's fine. Do you say that your allies right so I can choose to believe that seeing that you guys are helping us? You are on our side, right?"

I glance at Emma with a smile on my face as I respond to her while patting her head, "Yeah we're on your side. No way I'm leaving kids being treated as the food here no matter what."

Ruby hearing my words as she also agrees at this with her words, "I agree there as well is no way I'm leaving any of you here. Will try our best to help you out."

Law and Echidna both nod their heads at this as they also agreed to this.

While we have our questionable moral grounds, we can all agree that we have our morals are right here.

I just hope we find a way to help them out.

It took us a few days till we finally arrived at the bunker as we are now in a barren land as we let Emma open the door to the bunker.

"EMMA!!!"

"RAY!!!"

"THAT MISTER WHATEVER HIS NAME IS!!!"

"HEY!!"

Hahaha!!

These kids are surely funny that is for sure with that kind of reaction.

Seeing all these kids here they immediately looked at the others with clear surprise but more so towards Lucas, Law, and Echidna but they seem to be warier of Echidna I wonder why though?

Shrugging off at this we all entered inside as Emma and Ray began to explain to everyone what happened to their journey towards Goldy Pond while Lucas and Law began to explain to everyone what happened.

Then everyone started to discuss the plan that was needed to save everyone till the topic of reforging the promise was said that was when Echidna took charge of the conversation.

I may be good on a few things but I'm afraid that I'm lacking in the brains department here and the means to help them out.

I always wanted to physically be strong in case someone needed help but right now I felt helpless to help them out with my brain damn…

Maybe I should ask Echidna to help me become smarter and think more about how to use it effectively otherwise I have been relying on future knowledge and forethought to get me by but when it comes to missions that revolves around the brain and wisdom I can't be of much help.

Sigh…

For now, though we can provide all the help needed for transportation for them to help them get to the seven walls and travel freely in this world.

That is the least I can do for them so for now though I'll place my trust on Echidna and the kids to figure things out.

With that, I listened in to the conversation and hopefully understood what was needed to do…

~Third POV~

Somewhere in the HQ of the plantations, a man was wearing a nice suit as he was viewing the naked dead children in capsules ready to be sent off to the demons.

Answering his phone he was observing the containers as the voice at the other end began to speak, "We've finally recovered Lord Bayon's remains Ratri sir."

Peter Ratri the traitor who killed his family James spoke in a cold tone uncaring to the person on the other end, "You weren't able to locate the bodies of his servants? Where are they?"

The voice on the other end responded, "Yes, they are sunken deep underground in the lake water…"

Waiting impatiently Peter responded, "And?"

The voice replied in a cold tone, "We haven't located any corpses of cattle children either."

Peter then began to respond with curiosity in his voice as he spoke, "How strange Bayon should have hunted them. Good work. Now no one else can sprout up from Goldy Pond. You take command, search the surrounding area."

Turning off his cell phone Peter looks ever closer at the dead cattle children with a smile on his face, "Was it a coincidence brother? Whatever you do you can't get away. You cattle children are a necessity for this world."

Meanwhile, a week has passed as everyone in the bunker was waiting for their supposed allies to call them the chat group members also helped out with the kids.

Ruby teaching them how to use a gun and some self-defense.

Law teaching some kids how to handle an injured person and what not to do.

Beatrice educating the kids with new things although hugged her because of her cuteness much to her annoyance.

Echidna was with Ray and Emma helping them decipher the code to find the seven walls as she was excited about the challenge of the mystery of the seven walls and learning a new language.

Tatsumi helped out with the scouting parties as his shields were there to help them but also teach them of their surroundings and what to expect while he takes care of the monsters.

This has been what they did for the last week till it was time to search for the seven walls…
