Nightmare

[A/N: Sorry for the sporadic releases. I'm afraid I got a little lost on the path of life]

Waking up in the morning I was greeted by Starfire's sleeping face. As I watched her sleep, I couldn't help the thought that the media depicting her didn't do her justice. She was way more beautiful than either her animated or comic counterpart. Honestly the same could be said for Barbara and Selina. Zatanna as well, there seemed to be an abundance of beautiful people in the world maybe because it's based on a comic book.

My mind quickly turned to thoughts of the future and how I would go about achieving my goals as I just laid there my fingers running through Starfire's extremely long auburn hair. Suddenly her eyebrows came together and she started to mumble something like she was in a panic. Seeing this started shaking her gently and when that didn't work, I called her name. After a few tries she woke up in a panic.

"Easy, easy you're safe, everything's fine" When told her this in a soft voice she suddenly hugged me, her superhuman strength would have likely snapped me like a twig if not for my increased durability.

"Everything's fine" I repeated, when I said this, she pulled back her green eyes staring into my violet ones.

"Morning Star" I greeted with a slight smile.

"M-morning"

"Nightmare?"

"Y-yeah"

"Happens to everyone… wanna talk about it?" She just shook her head in response, instead, she closed her eyes and leaned forward slightly. Knowing what she wanted I immediately gave it to her leaning forward and pressing my lips to hers. She pulled me closer to her breasts pushing up against my chest as she ran her fingers through my hair.

After an undetermined amount of time, we separated. Catching our breath, we got out of bed. Followed by one of my noticeably steamier morning routines. We were now dressed, Starfire borrowing some more of my clothes, standing in the kitchen preparing to make breakfast. She seemed quite interested in what I was doing seeing her watching me so curiously I decided to let her help.

"Hey Star you wanna help me out?"

"I would love to but I don't know what to do"

"Well then I'll teach you, come here first take this bowl and pour it into the pan"

"Uh ok like this?"

"Yep, now watch it and wait for air bubbles to show up then use this to flip it" I instructed handing her a spatula.

"Got it!" While she was busy watching the pancake with laser-like focus, I started cooking some bacon and eggs. After a minute or so Starfire's excited voice reached my ears.

"Alex! Alex! Should I flip it?"

"Hmm go for it"

"Uh ok," she replied as she cautiously slipped the spatula under the pancake and flipped it over.

"See I knew you could do it," I said bringing my hand up for a high five, but was only met with a confused look.

"Put your hand up like this," I told her and when her hand mirrored mine, I slapped it against hers.

"See high five"

"I see..." she said before giving me a quick peck on the lips. Looking at my surprised face she gave me a smirk,

"Hehe, I think I like kissing more"

"Well can't deny that just make sure you don't forget to take it out of the pan."

"Glorborger!"

…

"Once we were done cooking, we sat down and started to eat. She seemed to especially like the pancakes maybe because she made them herself.

"So, what are we doing today? She asked as we were finishing our breakfast,

"Hmm I figured we would get you some clothes while getting you familiar with your new home"

"I see sounds good to me"

"But first I think you'll end up attracting too much attention if we go out as you're now, aliens aren't exactly common on Earth"

"So, what should I do?"

"Don't worry, I have just the thing" I said, walking up to a vault-like door, scanning my finger before entering, coming out a moment later with a necklace in hand.

"What is that?"

"It's a necklace it's been enchanted with a glamour charm, it'll make you look human but only when you're wearing it… Think of it as a gift, the first of many"

"I see thank you I'll make sure to cherish it," she said with a smile that threatened to blind me before turning around and moving her hair so I could see the back of her neck. I placed the necklace around her neck and fastened it before lightly kissing her nape.

Looking at herself in the mirror her eyes widened,

"Wow, this is amazing how does it work?"

"Well, I'm not sure I just know it's made using magic. A friend of mine taught me a few things here and there but the most important lesson I was taught is that magic always has a cost"

"Alright I understand," she said nodding her head.

"Ok let's head out as much as I enjoy seeing you wear my clothes having a little more variety couldn't hurt" I stated while starting to decide where exactly we should go.

"Oh, so you like it when I wear your clothes, I'll keep that in mind" she responded giving me a teasing grin.

"Well, I'm not gonna deny that I find it appealing… and don't think I didn't see you smelling my shirt when you thought I wasn't looking" I shot back giving her a playful smirk.

"Ahem let's just go already," she said trying to cover up her embarrassment but her new glamour made it easy to see her cheeks gain a slight reddish hue. I just let out a chuckle before grabbing her hand and teleporting to an alley not too far away from 5th Avenue I decided to start off in New York since I was more familiar with the area. We walked out of the alley and headed towards the shopping district still holding hands.
