[A/N: I have a sneaking suspicion that some people may not like this chapter, but whatever I wrote it and I don't feel like changing it. Don't take it too seriously it is at the end of the day Fan-fic]
When night came, I had the sudden urge to suit up and explore the city. So I did just that traveling along the rooftops of Gotham City looking for anything that could catch my interest. After a while I spotted a shadow moving along the rooftops since I was bored I decided to follow to see if I could find anything interesting. After a while whomever I was following came to stop next to another person.
After standing there for a bit they crouched down and start looking down at what was a skylight. Getting curious about what they were up to I decided to teleport behind them. Looking through the skylight I saw a group of what I assumed were criminals having some sort of meeting. The only person that stood out was a man with half his face burned were a suit with two different color schemes split vertically matching up with the two sides of his face.
"Hmm, Two-Face huh" I mumbled to myself. As soon as the words came out of my mouth the two people jumped back fully on guard. Both of their eyes widened when they got a look at me.
""Nomad!"" They both exclaimed simultaneously.
"What are you doing here?" Batgirl asked.
"Well I was wandering around the city, it seems I got lost on the path of life," I said trying to sound existential. When she heard what I said it looked like she got a sudden headache.
"I see…" she said.
"Stop messing around, you shouldn't be here," said the boy wonder curtly.
"Why it's not like you own this rooftop" I retorted. Before he could respond I followed up with the real reason I was there.
"Honestly I was starting to get bored with exploring Gotham so when I saw you I followed hoping to find something interesting, and my hunch seems to be correct"
"This isn't a game; you could jeopardize our entire mission" Robin rebutted.
"What exactly is your mission?" I asked genuinely curious.
"To apprehend Two-Face before he can rob another bank"
'Robbing a bank sounds a lot like what I used to do, well I was more of a thief than a robber' I thought convincing myself I wasn't at the same level as one of Batman's arch-enemies. If I had to compare myself to one of Batman's enemies, it would probably be Catwoman and she isn't even really his enemy so I feel like I'm good.
"Hmm… I'm in I could always use more combat experience"
Robin started to say something but before he could Batgirl interrupted.
"Let's just let him help, we could always use an extra person watching our back. We're wasting time"
"You really trust him?" Robin asked in disbelief.
"Hmm I guess I trust him enough not to attack us when our backs are turned"
"I'm touched," I said whipping a nonexistent tear from the eyehole of my mask.
"Yeah, yeah let's just get this over with already," the redheaded vigilante said looking like she was already regretting her decision.
So, we immediately sprang into action. With the sidekicks smashing through the skylight throwing down smoke pellets. While I teleported to the ground grabbing two grunts with both of my gloves stunning both. While this was happening Robin and Batgirl were doing their own part in taking out the enemies. Batgirl used her bolas to quickly incapacitate two of them. While Robin seemed to prefer using a bow staff to knock his enemies unconscious.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Two-Face flip a coin look at it, and immediately start to flee from the warehouse. Both reacted immediately but before they could do anything I teleported behind him doing a leg sweep knocking him to the ground. I quickly kicked the gun in his hand away and place my hand on the back shocking him unconscious.
After taking out the rest of the Two-Face henchmen they began tying them up. Just when I was about to teleport away. Robin turned and spoke to me
"You did a good job I guess I underestimated you"
"Yeah well, maybe next time, you will… estimate me. It's been fun, see ya around" I replied before throwing up a peace sign and teleporting away.
"What was that?" Robin asked slightly confused.
"I think he was quoting the office" Batgirl answered
"Does he do that a lot?"
"I don't know I've only met him twice… but both times he made some sort of reference to something so I guess so" Batgirl replied thinking of the last time she had spent time with the enigmatic teleporter.
…
Back at my apartment, I took off my suit took a shower, and went to bed. Waking up the next day I did my normal morning routine and decided to head to Wildcats gym for some training. Quickly teleporting to an alley near the gym I walked out and headed to the gym.
"Hey old man you got time for some training," I said as I walked into the gym giving my usual greeting.
"Old man huh not like yer wrong," Wildcat said with a laugh. "So, what do ya wanna work on today?"
"Hmm let's see I did Krav Maga last time so I like to work on Hapkido today. By the way, you sure you don't want any payment for training me?" I asked not wanting to take advantage of someone I liked.
"No worries kid the more people I train the less I'll have to step in when punks start to make trouble. Plus, Catwoman vouched for ya so you're all good in my book" he assured.
"Alright then, well let's get down to business," I said walking to the center of the gym and putting up my guard.
When it came to my training with Wildcat, I focused on two fighting styles one being Krav Maga and the other being Hapkido. They suited me best as they worked with the weapons I used.
"Alright, kid let's see how long ya can last," Wildcat said joining me in the center of the gym.
