Chapter 45: Worst Day to Invade!... Part 4

[AN: I Felt like the amount of action slash fighting in this chapter was not enough so I decided to lengthen it which took more time. Also thanks to JonRedSea for the Death Battle recommandation. After Watching the video, I got an idea of how to make the fight more realistic or believable.

[Third Person's Point of View]

Some may wonder why Acnologia currently looked older than he was when he arrived on Apokolips. He had used the philosopher stones, made from Grayven and Kalibak's life force and existence, to age himself temporarily.

The goal behind this was to temporarily reach the physique where he would not be limited by his age and physical capacity, like Adult Gon except the fact that he would return to his normal state when everything was done instead of a husk.

'Where did his Trident go? Is this also an illusion?'

As Darkseid noticed that Acnologia's trident was nowhere to be seen, Acnologia stood up and then proceeded to bend his right leg to kick behind himself. As he did that, Darkseid's left knee bent and was about to fall when he caught himself.

Acnologia had used his space-warping ability to warp the space behind him to lead to the back of Darkseid's left knee so when Acnologia stealthily kicked behind himself, Darkseid's knee was bent and the New God almost fell.

Not letting his opponent have a moment to think, Acnologia rushed at Darkseid when the latter was catching himself from falling and proceeded to knee Darkseid in the face with Acnologia spreading out his arms.

*WHAM!*

*WHAM!*

Some blood could be seen spitting out of Darkseid's mouth before Acnologia followed up with a haymaker punch from his right hand causing the New God to fly off a few feet. Darkseid caught himself in the air and proceeded to fly towards Acnologia before body-slamming into the latter.

*WHUMP!*

Acnologia brought his arms together to guard against the body slam but after Darkseid's body slammed Acnologia, both of the latter's arm were pushed away from his chest which allowed Darkseid to grab Acnologia by the throat.

As Darkseid grabbed Acnologia by the throat, the former noticed that the latter's eyes were glowing red just like his had, indicating that Acnologia was about to fire Omega Beams, an ability he acquired after his shadow ate Grayven's hand.

Darkseid instantly grabbed Acnologia's head with his other hand, covering Acnologia's eyes as well as part of his nose. Darkseid proceeded to squeeze Acnologia's head but to Darkseid's surprise and through the pain, Acnologia simply smirked before opening his mouth.

'Arcane Dragon's Roar!'

Acnologia thought as a concentrated beam of energy instantly gathered in front of his mouth just before it was shot at Darkseid's face causing the latter to let go of his grip and once again. Darkseid could not even finish his thought when the beam hit him.

'Clever little-'

*BOOM*

Wasting no time, Acnologia rushed at Darkseid by teleporting right above the New God and was cocking his arm back to throw another punch when Darkseid kneed Acnologia in the stomach before uppercutting the Atlantean so hard a shockwave was caused by the impact of his punch.

*FWA-THOOM*

*BOOM*

Still, Darkseid was not done, as Acnologia's body flew up, The ruler of Apokolips unleashed his Omega Beams which locked onto the Atlantean and then caused the latter to crash through the roof as they hit him.

*FZZZZZ*

*CRASH*

A mere moment after the Omega Beams sent Acnologia crashing through the roof of the Palace, Acnologia teleported himself in front of Darkseid and drop-kicked the New God's stomach and as Darkseid's body was sent flying, Acnologia followed him to clock him in the chin.

*WHAM!*

*WHAM!*

*CRASH*

Acnologia smirked as he looked at the hole in the roof Darkseid had made when the Ruler of Apokolips was sent flying through it. He remained vigilant as he wiped the small trail of blood that was running down his mouth while still sporting a smirk.

Acnologia's eyes glowed red for a second as he saw the future and flew towards the roof just as Darkseid came through with a double-foot stomp. Acnologia grabbed Darkseid by the feet and proceeded to spin the New god around in the air, like he had done with Kalibak, by altering gravity.

Darkseid was not like his son and he showed this when he bent his core to try to hit Acnologia with a right hook only for the latter to swing both of Darkseid's legs at the same time as if they were battle ropes and he was doing bilateral waves.

Acnologia then started kicking the air beneath his own feet. Now some might think that he was performing Geppo, a technique from One Piece that allowed him to fly by jumping off air itself but that was not the case.

Acnologia had bent space to allow each one of his kicks to reach Darkseid's face. Naturally speaking, both feet had been infused with advanced Busoshoku Haki and Haoshoku Haki, this meant that each kick hurt Darkseid very much to the point that his face was partly covered with his own blood though his face would have been more covered if Acnologia was not spinning him around.

*WHAM!* *WHAM!* *WHAM!* *WHAM!* *WHAM!*

*FZZZZZ*

Having had enough of this, Darkseid's glowed red as Omega Beam escaped them and hit Acnologia which stopped the latter from spinning the former around as Acnologia lost his grip on Darkseid. Darkseid then quickly positioned himself in the air to punch Acnologia, towards the ground, so hard a shockwave was caused by the impact of his punch.

*FWA-THOOM*

*BOOM*

Darkseid then instantly flew towards Acnologia and when the latter's body bounced off the ground after hitting it, Darkseid kicked Acnologia right from behind with enough force that another shockwave was created from the impact alone but Darkseid was not done as he shot another Omega Beam at Acnologia.

*FWA-THOOM*

*FZZZZZ*

The Omega Beams hit Acnologia and seemed to lock him in the air as they were electrocuting him when Darkseid jumped into the air and then proceeded to stomp on Acnologia driving, the Atlantean's body into the ground.

*FWA-THOOM* *FWA-THOOM* *FWA-THOOM* *FWA-THOOM*

Darkseid then began to punch Acnologia repeatedly with each punch causing a shockwave upon impact. It got to the point where Acnologia's entire face was now bloodied but Darkseid did not care about that and was about to send another punch when he stopped himself.

What caused him to stop was none other than Acnologia raising his right arm. His arm seemed to tremble as he was raising it. Still, with what looked like a great struggle, Acnologia raised his arm towards Darkseid who had a feeling of déjà vue.

Acnologia then straightened his index and middle finger before the trembling in his right arm stopped as he twisted his hand so that his both fingers were now pointing at the yet again still intact throne. Darkseid proceeded to look at the throne as he muttered to himself.

"Impossible-"

Darkseid stopped what he was going to say when he noticed that the throne was still empty, he then looked down at Acnologia, only to see a fist, coated in black with dark red lightning crackling around it, mere inches away from him and instantly felt a something hitting his head from the inside. 

Darkseid had only one thought as he saw Acnologia's evil grin before the latter's attack interrupted it midway through.

'How did I fall for this simple tric- ARGH!'

*WHAM!*

Acnologia's fist, infused with advanced Busoshoku Haki and Haoshoku Haki, sent Darkseid flying but this time, Acnologia did not follow up with an attack and simply remained where he was standing.

Darkeid stopped himself from flying further and landed on the ground. He looked at Acnologia while bringing both of his arms behind his back as a show of strength. Darkseid did not like the look in Acnologia's eyes that was hidden beneath his blood-soaked hair as well as his blood-coated confident smirk.

Without saying a word, Acnologia rushed at Darkseid, once he was close enough, he jumped and delivered a sidekick to Darkseid's head with his right leg. Darkseid raised his left hand and managed to catch Acnologia's kick before it landed on his face.

Contrary to Darkseid's expectation, Acnologia's momentum did not stop in fact it increased as he twisted his right leg, which was caught, along with the rest of his body to an extent of one hundred and eighty degrees to deliver a Back Kick with his left leg which manages to land on Darkseid's head.

*WHAM!*

This attack caused Darkseid to let go of Acnologia's leg. Some might be wondering how Acnologia was able to twist his leg when the Ruler of Apokolips held it firmly. It was due to Kami-e, a technique from the One Piece world that allows users to relax their body and make it take on the characteristics of a piece of paper.

Acnologia's twisted right leg twisted itself back to normal as he landed on the ground. He then rushed at Darkseid while cocking his right arm back. He dodged the right hook from Darkseid thanks to future sight by ducking down then proceeded to gut punch Darkseid.

*WHAM!*

Acnologia then jumped in the air before delivering another sidekick to Darkseid's face pushing Darkseid off the ground as he was sent flying away. Acnologia then teleported right in front of Darkseid before he grabbed Darkseid's head with a tight grip and then proceeded to knee him in the face multiple times as the momentum was carrying them.

*WHAM!* *WHAM!* *WHAM!* *WHAM!*

Not letting that shit slide, Darkseid deliver a liver blow to Acnologia's side causing Acnologia to loosen his grip. Darkseid took advantage of this and proceeded to grab Acnologia's left arm, stopped the momentum that was carrying them both then grabbed Acnologia's right leg.

As Darkseid's feet touched the ground, he raised Acnologia above him like they were in Lion King before instantly bringing Acnologia down while his right knee was rising. Acnologia's back collided with Darkseid's knee and a cracking sound reverberated throughout the throne room.

*KRAKT*

Darkseid then threw Acnologia up in the air before delivering a gut punch Acnologia, with enough force that another shockwave was created from the impact alone, sending him flying across the room until he hit the wall and then fell to the ground.

*FWA-THOOM*

"You are wasting your breath if you think I am going to surrender."

Acnologia said while standing up while Darkseid was opening his mouth. Acnologia then spread his left arm before a shield materialized in his left hand out of nowhere, via red lightning gathering in said hand. Acnologia's blood, that was on his face, started floating and headed towards the shield.

In a matter of moments, all the blood that was on Acnologia had been absorbed by the shield in his left hand. Darkseid noticed that Acnologia seemed to have been healed but he knew that the shield could not have been for just healing purposes and hightened his guard.

Noticing Darkseid's increased vigilance, Acnologia smirked even more then lifted his shield higher before he spoke to Darkseid but seeing the shield being lifted, Darkseid took no chances and fired Omega Beams.

*FZZZZZ*

"Uno Reverse, bitch!"

"ARGH!"

Acnologia said with a mean smirk just as the Omega Beams were about to hit him. As he said that his shield shone for a brief moment then Darkseid groaned in pain as blood gushed from newly and instantly opened wounds right before the Omega Beams he had just shot, hit him.

*THUD*

"Man, seeing you lying on the ground and that look on your face more than makes it up for all the hits you gave me which, in case you hadn't realized it by now, I let myself get hit."

Acnologia exclaimed after Darkseid fell onto his knee due to the injuries he had just received. Now some may be confused at what just happened. Acnologia had granted himself through Alchemy and the usage of his Philosopher's Stone a new ability that was from Bleach.

That is right, he had granted himself an ability identical to that of The Balance from Bleach. It is Haschwalth's Schrift which in the manga and anime enabled him to take the "misfortune" that occurred within his sphere of influence and disperse it to those who have experienced good fortune.

[AN: Honestly, there is still a lot stuff that I don't get about his Schrift because it was never fully explained in the manga but that is the gist of it.

Also while I was writing this scene, I got an idea of another One Piece Fic where the MC would have Haschwalth's Schrift, Sinbad's ability to read the flow of the waves, maybe two of Sinbad's Djinn and Zongeh's Food luck from Toriko.

The MC's name would be Sparrow D. Sinbad and he would be a former Marine before he was branded as a Pirate after liberating Celestial Dragon's property, if you know what I mean. 

I can't stop thinking about writing it which kinda slowed the completion of this chapter.]

Simply put, Acnologia had let himself get hit by Darkseid's attacks in order for Darkseid to accumulate good fortune and bad fortune for himself the latter of which would redirected back to Darkseid in the form of all the damage that Acnologia took from Darkseid and more.

For those who were wondering, this was the reason why Acnologia had not coated his attacks with quake bubbles.

Seeing Darkseid brought to his knee, Acnologia teleported himself back to the throne. Acnologia sat down on the throne once more while Darkseid regained his bearing. As Darkseid stood up, he fired once again his Omega Beams but this time, Acnologia fired back.

*FZZZZZ*

*FZZZZZ*

*PSSHHZZZZ*

Both pairs of Omega Beams collided in the middle, dying the wrecked throne room into a darker shade of red. Darkseid and Acnologia's Omega Beams pushed the other in to assert their dominion over the other and inflict damage on their intended target.

Now the reason why Acnologia's Omega Beams rivaled Darkseid's Omega Beams was not due to the former's shadow consuming Grayven's hand or the boost given to the former by the Philosopher's stone.

It was due to what Acnologia had acquired after using his alchemy against the rogue but improved Amazo. He gained an ability similar to Adam's Divine Reflection from the Record of Ragnarok anime and manga series.

Acnologia could now duplicate any ability that his target had no matter the origin of said ability and the amount of time that he could use the ability he duplicated depended solely on Acnologia's energy reserve as well as his willingness to use the duplicated ability.

Anyway, after a while Omega Beam collision ended with neither Omega Beam winning and both dissipating out of thin air. Acnologia's shadow spread wide and covered almost all of the throne room before eyes started popping on every part of his shadow.

He was going to do the attack he initially planned before he had the idea to grant himself The Balance and let Darkseid deal some damage to him before sending said damage back to Darkseid. Each eye that appeared in Acnologia's shadow glowed red before they each unleashed Heat Vision onto Darkseid.

*SZZZZASSSK*

*BOOM*

A series of heat visions was shot at Darkseid who attempted to evade them but was frozen due to unexpected pain in his chest. Darkseid endured numerous series of heat visions which eventually blasted him out of the throne room and then out of the Palace before he landed outside, his fall causing a small crater.

"Destruction and Freedom! Freedom and Destruction!"

"Destruction and Freedom! Freedom and Destruction!"

As Darkseid stood up, he heard unified chanting before he looked around and saw that he was surrounded by Parademons that were, from his perspective, infected just like the ones that were brought here by Acnologia but they were not the only beings around the New God.

Citizens of Apokolips that were there were glad in Symbiotes. Some were wielding fire in their hands others lightning or other type of elements but what all citizens, who were now surrounding the Ruler of Apokolips, had in common was that they each sported a power Darkseid knew they lacked prior to Acnologia storming his Palace.

"If you are wondering how I managed to do this in just a couple of minutes then let me shed some light. It has been at least five hours since I've arrived at Apokolips."

As if reading his mind, Acnologia answered Darkseid's inner thoughts as the former teleported himself right to the edge of the crater that Darkseid was currently in. To get the full picture, one must understand that Acnologia did not simply sit back and watch Darkseid hitting the ground for hours.

He went around Apokolips and conquered it in less than thirty minutes since most of their powerhouse was on Earth or currently trapped in an illusion. While he was conquering Apokolips, he gave the citizens a choice, rebel against Darkseid and be free or fight him and become Philosopher's Stone.

Now had it been any other day, the citizens of Apokolips would have never dreamed of rebelling against Darkseid but seeing Acnologia's force gaining ground by the second, a transmission of Darkseid punching the ground like an idiot and the predatory look in Acnologia's eye that seemed to hope for them choosing the second option... Most decided to choose the first option.

They complimented themselves on their choice after seeing how those who chose to fight Acnologia were turned into Philosopher's Stone along with Desaad. Acnologia then used his Trident, which he still had at the time, to empower those who decided to rebel.

It was a combination of the Monstrification that came from Kordax's trident, Kobra-Venom that Acnologia could reproduce whenever he wanted and Alchemy empowered by a Philosopher's Stone.

It gave each citizen who chose to rebel, an Atlantean physiology that boosted theirs, a symbiote that was of a lower grade then what Supergirl or Miss Martian had, and a random meta-human ability courtesy of the Kobra-Venom.

Now people might think that Acnologia was doing this simply out of some altruistic reason but that would not be the case.

The mere thought of Darkseid's plan of using him to acquire the Anti-Life Equation coupled with the invasion happening at his mother's death anniversary urked Acnologia so much that he wanted to give Darkseid a never-before-seen beatdown.

What could be better and more humiliating of a beatdown than one that came from the hands of people that you viewed as less than pebble? Acnologia sported a shit-eating grin while Darkseid ignored the mob around them and looked at him before speaking while coughing and spewing blood at the end of his sentence.

"When did you *Cough* poison me with *Cough* *Cough* Radion?"

Acnologia kept his grin as he responded.

"Well, that is for me to know and you to find out since..."

His grin disappeared and was replaced with a blank yet cold expression as he continued.

"You've already fucked around."

Acnologia raised his hand before he added on.

"Like a soon-to-be-wrecked New God once said I am... THE END. Personally, I try not to speak in the third person because it's kinda cringe... to the point that I don't want to even paraphrase it but I guess you don't care about that since you are preoccupied with finding out how even now I am still poisoning you with Radion.

Now I could give you some time to figure it out while you grow weaker by the moment until you figure it out or lose even the strength to stand up OR... I can blab for a bit until you are weak enough for this army behind me to take you down... Kinda like what I am doing right now."

Acnologia then brought his hand down, pointing at Darkseid as he thought of something while yelling something else.

'I've always wanted to this say in this type of situation.'

"OFF WITH HIS HEAD!"

As he yelled those words, everyone around them charged at Darkseid with the intent to destroy the New God. Now some may be wondering what is Radion and how is it poisonous to Darkseid. To put it in layman's terms, Radion is the one element that is lethal to the New Gods.

It is essentially the Kryptonite equivalent for New Gods where its effects are toxic only in sustained amounts or after explosive exposure. Acnologia acquired the knowledge of this element while his shadow was skewering Grayven and Kalibak's bodies.

Acnologia later used the Philosopher's Stone to create it and then used Radion to weaken Darkseid without the latter noticing it at first. Some may think that this is underhanded to which Acnologia would respond with, this is an invasion, not some anime slash manga tournament arc.

[AN: Quick question; Is Radion only toxic to New Gods? I remember someone saying that it was toxic to New and Old gods alike.]

Back on Earth, various heroes and villains fight off the Parademons hordes as well as the Furies. Some get jumped while others do the jumping but the invasion remained in a stailmate due to the never ending horde of Parademons.

To those that were on Earth's side, this fight was a battle of attrition since for every Parademon that each of them managed to kill, three or more reappeared before they could even celebrate the kill of said Parademon.

Now some may be asking themselves where is the Greek Pantheon or any other Pantheon in the DC universe during this invasion. Well the answer that question is that most if not all decides to stay out of this because of some ancient laws that were made long ago.

Because of said laws, they cannot meddle with the affair of men as they used to and going now would bring their respective Pantheon into the spotlight which would be good for said pantheon if it were not for the fact that the other pantheon would join together to destroy the Pantheon that garnered the spotlight in fear of loosing all of their worshippers.

Considering the might of Apokolips especially Darkseid, helping Earth was more trouble then it was worth for them plus they have an infinite amount of other Earths where mortals can worship them thus retaining their power.

Returning back to Earth, although the villains and heroes had come to a truce of some sort that did not mean that they had enough people to completely fend off the Invasion. Some part of the world were unlucky and became overun by Parademons.

If one were to give a quick look at London, they would initially think that London is one of such place due to having a Parademon Tower within it but if one were to look for more then a second they would realize that some of the Parademons were fighting off the others.

The Parademons fighting each others was confusing for those that witnessed it but the civilians did not ponder for long and head to safety. Now some may wonder how that is possible or what is the cause of this. 

The reason behind half of the Parademons in London fighting the other half is a blonde haired man currently wearing a trench coat. Said man was sitting in an empty bar getting wasted like there was no tommorow while also smoking. He is none other than John Constantine.

[AN: Anyone know where I can go to get like a good english to british slang translator/modifier cuz I don't know enough british slang to write John's line.]

It quickly became apparent to all that to defeat the Parademons once and for all, the towers spread across the world needed to be destroyed. Though that was easier said then done, once a Tower was destroyed, it would began rebuilding itself in a matter of moments.

In the blink of an eye, the destroyed Tower or Towers would be repaired and produced hundreds of Parademons that would be need to be defeated before destroying said Tower or Towers once more. Many heroes and villains tried to destroy the Towers once and for all but failed.

This was because not all of the Towers were destroyed at the same time. Now although Parademons might be manageble for most super powered individuals that did not mean that they did not pose a threat to them.

Parademons were reletivaly quite easy to handle in the first hour of the invasion but as time went by, the stamina of most of Earth's defenders went down and sadly the same could not be said about the Parademons.

'Fuck! They keep coming no matter how many times I reap them to shreds.'

Supergirl thought as she across the city that her and Miss Martian was tasked to help and safeguard against the Parademons. She was in a bad mood but it was not mainly due to Parademons but due to what was right next to her as she was flying at super sonic speed.

Her body is currently coated by a magical aura which began to appear when she first save people when the invasion began. After some time and a lot of people saved, a couple of small dozens of bubble-sized blobs that resembled Acnologia started to be generated from said magical aura.

Through a telepatic communication with Miss Martian, she learned that she was not the only one. Both of their bodies were generating a magical Aura that was spawning Life Spirits or more precisely, they came to the conclusion that Acnologia's symbiotes were doing that.

it did not take them long to realize that said Magical Aura was also keeping them energized, at full stength and if they were somewhat injured said injury would heal faster then it would normally heal even for a Kryptonian under a yellow sun or a Martian.

Now if said magical aura was so helpful why was Supergirl in a bad mood? The answer is because she and Miss Martian tried to ask the life Spirits to help and heal others like they had done to them before to which the Life Spirits answered like so.

"... Who made you our boss?"

"That sounds like work."

"Why should we do your job for you, huh?"

"Do it yourself."

The Life Spirits did not help or comply to any of Miss Martian or Supergirl's request. What infuriated them even more was that the Life Spirits kept following them around due to Acnologia's symbiote. It was only after Miss Martian save a gravely injured Zatara that they got the answer as to why this was happening.

While batteling a horde of Parademons, Zatara was suddenly ambushed by a Fury who manage to gravely injury him. The fury would have finished off Zatara had it not been for Miss Martian arriving on time and using her Symbiote to restrain the Fury.

She tried to gain any information that could be useful to turn the tides of this invasion from the Fury's mind but unfortunately for M'gann, the fury in question did not know how to destroy the Towers for good. M'gann then broke the Fury's mind before tossing her out of her sight.

While M'gann tended to Zatara's wounds, she conjured hundreds of symbiote tendrils that instantly swurled around in the air filled with Parademons before retracting back into M'gann. Before Zatara could even comprehend it, the Parademons that were in the air fell to the ground as minced pieces of meat and metal.

*FWIP*

{*THUD* *THUD* *THUD* *THUD* X 100}

Thanks to the Symbiote, M'gann managed to heal Zatara's grave injury but seeing as he was out of stamina. Zatara decided to go for a hail Mary. He used his magic to summon the Helmet of Fate before grabbing it and wearing it thus becoming Doctor Fate.

Before he flew off to join the battle, M'gann used this chance to ask Doctor Fate if he knew what she could do to have the Life Spirit listen to her and Supergirl's request of healing people as even explaining the value of life did not work.

Doctor Fate simply explained that Life Spirits viewed life and death differently then what they did. To a Life spirit, life and death were merely a location of existance it was the mortal equivalent of the difference between being in one country and being in another.

Anyway, with the entrance of Doctor Fate the tides of the invasion started leaning more towards Earth since unlike a certain Lord of Chaos or a certain Immortal warlord and mystic that allied himself with the Light, Doctor Fate was trying his best, though limited by Zatara's body, to defend Earth.

[AN: I got a question for you all cuz I can't seem to find an answer to this. Is Nezha a fourth or higher dimensional being? Cuz he lived for a time in the Heavenly Realm which is located within in the Skyland.

And the Skyland, also known as Hightower, is a realm that is located in the metaphysical reality known as the Sphere of the Gods. So that makes me wonder if he is a fourth or higher dimensional being even though he was human before or if it was through something like Boom Tube where someone from the third dimension can go into the higher.

Personally, I am leaning more on Nezha not being a Fourth or higher being like Klarion but I would prefer to double check.]

Now the invasion had been going on for hours and by now some readers must have thought the same think the author thinks whenever Apokolips invades Earth more than once or Darkseid is about to gain the Anti-Life Equation on Earth, what are the forces of New Genesis doing at this time?

The reason why New Genesis has yet to join the fray in this invasion is because Apokolips has managed to trap the entirety New Genesis in a seperate dimension. Granted this method is only temporary and at best would hold New genesis for a few hours.

To accomplish such feat, Apokolips needed and acquired the help of Metron. Metron is the greatest mind of New Genesis, a New God explorer who seeks scientific knowledge in the further corners of existence with the aid of the universal-traveling vehicle the Mobius Chair.

Metron agreeded to this because he wanted to test his newest inventions and according to his calculations, the chances of Darkseid acquiring the Anti-Life Equation through Acnologia was negative infinity when accounting for the latter's pride so there was no reason not to agree.

[AN: Jokes aside, I always wondered what the fuck is New Genesis doing in all the stories where Darkseid gets the Anti-Life Equation or conquer Earth to acquire the Anti-Life Equation from the mind of the humans. So I decided to come up with a valid reason why they would not show up once the invasion started.]

After collecting enough Data, Metron was pleased with this and brought back New genesis to where it is supposed to be. Although the New Gods of Genesis were angry at him, he informed them that the situation on Earth required their immediate intervention.

Metron already had something in mind to qwell the anger of High Father but he needed to deliver it at the right moment. Without wasting anymore time, the forces of New Genesis went to Earth where with their help they easily destroyed the Towers at the same times and defeated the remaining forces of Apokolips.

On Earth the day was saved but that did not come without any price as some heroes, villains, civilains, police officers, military personel and ect died during the Invasion. Unfortunately for Supergirl and Miss Martian, they learned from Artemis and Robin that Aqualad and Kid Flash had died fighting off Parademons and a Fury in order to cover the former duo's back as they escorted civilians away.

They went to Superman and Martian Manhunter to grieve as well as announce the bad news to their friend's mentor just as Orion and High Father arrived to meet the founding members of the Justice League.

High Father respectefully waited as the respective mentors were informed of their proteges death then paid his condolesence for their lose. He then apologize for the rudeness of abruptly changing the subject in the situation that they were in before asking where Acnologia was.

This caused some to remember what Acnologia had said and conclude that he had gone off to Apokolips. When they heard his words, most of the founding members, Superman, Martian Manhunter, Wonder Woman, Batman and Aquaman had already deduced this but had decided to focus on the invasion first then deal with it after the situation had become under control.

"Oh No! Boss! This is bad! This is bad!"

Everyone became alarmed upon hearing the Life Spirit around Supergirl and Miss Martian yelling in unison. Doctor Fate then come closer to Supergirl and Miss Martian, by using their Symbiote as catalysis, he was able to project a hologram of what was going on to and around Acnologia.

Now I could give you some time to figure it out while you grow weaker by the moment until you figure it out or lose even the strength to stand up OR... I can blab for a bit until you are weak enough for this army behind me to take you down... Kinda like what I am doing right now."

Upon witnessing the scene of Acnologia, who looked older, having the upper hand against Darkseid with the Life Spirits around Miss Martian and Supergirl cheering on for Acnologia. Everyone started to question on who they should truly be worried about and who actually needed help. Batman, ever so the detective, turned to Orion that had been quiet and asked.

"What is Radion?"

Orion did not answer his question. Batman noted that he seemed to not want to answer his question but that did not mean that he did not get an answer. A Life Spirit answered Batman's question while pointing its small bubble finger at High Father and Orion.

"Radion is something that is toxic to those guys. It's kinda like their Kryptonite."

'Interesting, must investigate Radion later on.'

Batman thought before asking another question.

"Acnologia seems fine. Why did you say that he was in danger?"

This question caused the Life Spirits to look at one another before replying.

"We never said that he was in danger."

"Yeah, we said that this was bad cuz Boss is using Philosopher's Stone and hasn't used our powers in this fight."

"We're gonna lose our self-proclaim title as Boss' number one Hax."

"Hey, I have an idea, why don't we show boss more of abilities then we will definetly keep our title."

"That's a great idea!"

The Life Spirit's answer and mini conversation left most speechless. As the hologram soon ended, Supergirl and Miss Martian retracted the symbiote tendril that Doctor Fate had needed to come into contact for the spell to work.

A discussion on who would go to Apokolips to help Acnologia soon began. Although Acnologia did not seem like he was in danger the way he laughed evily as Darkseid was getting jumped did not instill too much relief, to the heroes, visa vie his sanity.

With the effects of Radion out of the bag, High Father informed that neither he nor any New gods of Genesis could not help the Justice League members as they did not know how Acnologia had poisoned Darkseif and if Apokolips' atmosphere was even safe for them.

Still that did not mean that he was not going to help them. He gifted the Justice League a Mother Box which would allow them to go to Apokolips and back among other things. With a Mother Box at hand, the heroes geared up to go to Apokolips.

First of all, I have to inform you all that due to classes beginning soon enough, I am not going to be able to release chapter weekly, especially if there is fight scene, due to needing some time to get used to changes in my schedule and trying to find when carve up some time to write fics from said schedule. It would be best to think like I am entering a sort of mini Haitus.

Second of all, I would like your opinion on this chapter's actions slash fight scene as well as in general. Like should I include actions scene from others instead of just the MC or keep it like this cuz I thought that for the next chapter I could add a part that explain in better details the heroes and villains fought off the Parademons.
