Chapter 1719: Bruce Wayne and the Prisoner of the Batcave (Part 1) _1

"Alright, those damn runes of divine power have finally stopped updating!" In the narrow basement, Constantine gritted his teeth and said, "Taking advantage of this brief stable period, I must summon this bastard angel and punch him! All of you stay back, I'm starting the magic array!"

Tim grabbed Jason's elbow, making him take two steps back, but then spoke up, "The stopping and frequent updating of the runes of divine power are equally sudden. You dare to recklessly start the magic array without investigating the truth behind it. It's not child's play. If the rune energy operation is abnormal, God knows what you will summon."

Constantine took a deep breath, turned his head to look at Tim, and said very seriously, "Get this straight, between the two of us, you are the child, and I spent half of my life studying these runes. I am confident that even if the energy operation of the runes of divine power becomes unexpectedly chaotic, it would only result in a failed summoning ritual, it won't be dangerous. I wouldn't joke with my own life."

"You better not."

After saying that, Tim took two steps back and, along with Jason, leaned on the cabinet next to him without saying a word. Constantine kept busy in the center of the magic array. It seemed like he was adding safety measures to some of the runes. Then he rubbed his hands together, cut his own palm with a small knife, and pressed his hand onto the core rune in the center of the magic array.

The magic array lit up, each rune worked perfectly just as Constantine had envisaged, those annoying updates of the runes of divine power did not affect the operation of the magic array. Everything seemed under control, with the only issue being that no one responded to the magic array.

Constantine looked a little surprised and puzzled. In fact, although from the human perspective Constantine seems despicable, amongst the God Clan, especially the angels and demons, he can be considered a heartthrob. Countless angels and demons choose to respond to his summoning even after he has tricked them so many times.

But this time, the magic array was unexpectedly quiet, it was completely ignored by its target. However, suddenly a space bubble formed by completely different power abruptly appeared above the magic array.

Without exaggeration, the style of this space bubble was completely different from the magic array below it. Above was the endless cosmos and indescribable chaos, while below was a human creation filled with order and power sensation. The two were incompatible.

Tim suddenly had a bad feeling, he swiftly stepped sideways and hurried out the door, also reaching out to grab Jason's arm and dragged him along.

Therefore, unsurprisingly, the slow-reacting Constantine was directly knocked to the ground by several dark figures that dropped from mid-air, his head hit hard on the cement floor.

The first to land was Young Bruce, who initiated the ritual. When he was accepted by the gate, he flew the highest, or perhaps the supreme being in the neighboring world wanted to throw him out most. Anyway, like Constantine, he fell straight onto the cement floor of the basement, thankfully without hitting the back of his head.

The fall was quite heavy, Young Bruce let out a cry of pain. Like a fish just brought ashore, he lifted his body, then turned himself over, propped his body up with the opposite arm. However, the biggest challenge he faced next was not the physical pain, but the endless whispers in his brain.

From the mystic world perspective, he made a very bad decision - he responded to the call of an Outer God, accepted his power without working for him, personally studied the knowledge he got from this Outer God, grasped the truth of another Outer God, and then summoned him through a forbidden ritual.

If the benefits his status in this cosmos brings him are not considered, he might be the youngest and most death-defying legendary investigator.

Young Bruce couldn't be certain if his summoning of Yog was successful at last, but he was sure that the crazy whispers in his mind now definitely included some from him. Most of them may be from Naya, but there was no need to differentiate clearly, they all made his brain feel like it was being hammered.

The next to drop was Harley. She was quite agile, adjusting her body position as much as possible when landing and rolled a few times on the ground to cushion the fall. She didn't fall too heavily.

But after she landed, moans in her mouth and in her mind began simultaneously, followed by a scream echoing in her mind. A strange voice from a young girl with a kind of angry vitality resounded in her head.

"What did you do?! Where is this?!"

"Hold on! Wait!" Harley forced her eyebrows up, pulling her eyelids open with effort, trying to quiet the violent tendencies ignited by the elated feeling inside her. She took a deep breath and said in her mind, "This question should be asked by me, who are you? What do you want to do in my brain?"

"Someone moved the Chaotic Power, that terrifying murmuring of the stars reached my ears through those forces. I just wanted to check the situation...wait, hold on, oh, my god, I'm not trapped in your mind! I can come back to my senses, God! That scared me!"

"...No, it's fine, love, you can sleep a little longer. I just suddenly felt a little dizzy, maybe Xeseon called me, but I don't want to deal with him, yes, that's it... Alright, I get caught every time I lie, so here's the thing..."

The voice in Harley's mind gradually faded but did not completely disappear, as if she was talking to someone through a thick wall.

Harley could not hear the other person's response, but judging from the wording of the girl alone, they might be in a place far away, and because of some accident, paid attention to here.

Then, Harley realized what was going on. She wouldn't be easily deceived, so she raised her voice and shouted in her mind, "Xeseon deceived me, didn't he? The Chaotic Power is not his power, at least not entirely his. I can feel a stronger connection between this power and you."

"In some sense, yes." Wanda's voice echoed in Harley's mind. Every time she answered, Harley's left eye pulsed with a more intense red light, as if a projection of attention was igniting a flame in Harley's soul.

"Xeseon should never call himself the Lord of Chaos, for he is not the master of Chaotic Power. Although I am not entirely either, it is unquestionable that I can wield more Chaotic Power than he can."

"When you wielded the Chaotic Power, I felt an unusual presence, emanating from an incredibly dangerous entity I once encountered. I can feel that someone by your side summoned them."

"My close connection with the Chaotic Power distinguishes me from ordinary humans. I can lend the Chaotic Power I possess to my followers, just like a Demon God. I came to your soul with strength and consciousness, intending to borrow your body to eliminate those dangerous elements."

"They cannot come!" Wanda took a deep breath. "I have directly confronted one of them, perhaps the most magnificent and terrifying one. I cannot mention his name, but in the Dark Chamber filled with the shrieking of pipes and drums, he still sleeps."

Harley keenly detected some familiar vocabulary. Therefore, she began to exchange information to the best of her ability with Wanda in her mind.

After all, any intelligent person would understand that this matter is far from over. It's just that everything is too chaotic and complicated to make sense of temporarily.

Then came Barry Allen, who was both the luckiest and unluckiest among them. For he had landed on Constantine. The good news was he hadn't crashed onto the concrete floor; the bad news was falling into a sewage pit was worse than hitting the concrete.

Then a voice echoed in his mind.

"Is this the strange universe you claim to have come from? It seems very distant, at least further than the limit of the Multiverse I can venture to in my dreams. Yet the fascinating thing is, I can still pay attention to this place."

"No, no, my powers are gone!" The voice revealed shock and anger. "The rules of power vary in different worlds, not even the Book of Dark God can provide a perfect solution...but it doesn't matter. My experience is still useful. I can help you find a powerful force that you can still use in this universe."

"You should take a break." Barry stood up, clutching his head. He shook it hard before realizing with surprise that he had knocked someone over. He quickly went up and helped Constantine up.

Constantine, holding his swollen head, glanced at Barry, "I presume you have nothing to do with the entity I'm trying to summon, from head to toe. Any angels or demons in your family?"

Hearing the familiar voice, Barry looked dizzily at Constantine and shouted, "Professor Constantine?"

"'Professor?'! The only American law I endorse is no selling alcohol to minors. Are you serious? Kid?"

However, the next second, a tragedy occurred. Just as Constantine was getting up from the ground and hadn't fully steadied himself, another figure fell from the sky.

"Bang!"

This figure was far more destructive. The Constantine here might be the only Constantine in the Multiverse who could survive a blow to the head from Doomsday.

"Oh dear, what happened? Why are my body and brain telling me that I've been kicked and sent flying far away?"

Helen Stark held her head, squinted her eyes, and wobbled up from Constantine. Taking a deep breath, she let out a short sound, then noticed the instigators of this series of crisis — the three peculiar freshmen from the Magic Academy were standing in a line, staring at her with strange looks.

"I guess we're back," sighed Harley. "To be precise, I'm back. This is the universe where Robin and the others are."

"Jesus, Constantine, don't tell me these are the angels you wanted to summon... Uh, Harley, why are you here?"

Jason walked in, stepping over the threshold. Tim also froze noticeably when he saw all the people in the cellar. When they both entered, the small basement was packed with people.

It seemed that Constantine could not tolerate it any longer. Leaning against the wall, he waved his hand vigorously.

"Everybody out! Little brats, who wants a bunch of kids hanging around like Batman?!"
