CARLOS OUTBURST TOWARDS COURTNEY

Storing away the supplies she bought at the market, when the door open thinking it was Uncle, but he always calls when he comes. When the person did speak Courtney recognized it was Carlos, "Ah, I see you are still here."

"Am, I suppose to go somewhere?"

Carlos walks closer to her saying, "I was hoping not."

"So, tell me what reason you have for coming here?" Courtney, asks as she continue storing away the supplies.

"I saw you at the market place."

"You did, so why didn't you speak with me there, instead of you having to make a waste run here?"

"I could not touch you there, and you are looking so radiant, I am so glad Rufus cannot see you now, or instead of him going to marrying Valarie he might choose you."

'This fool think I am stupid, I know they call off all arrangement for Rufus and Valarie. But never mind I will play along with him and see where this goes and how he is thinking. I know he is very schemish.'

"Have you forgotten, I told you I am already married, so Rufus, seeing me or not, doesn't really matter, I am married."

Advancing towards her, seeing the ways she steps out from behind the counter into the open space out of his reach then said, "Young Prince you should not be here alone with me, Pappie and Mom's went for a walk, I will tell them you came to visit."

"You can do that but it is you I came to meet so it is good that they are out."

Not wanting to take any chances knowing he can over power her, she said, "Joe, Martha said for you to keep me safe, so get Carlos out from here right now."

"Joe, is our dog, do you expect him to hurt me?"

"Joe, is not your dog any longer, he is here to protect me, isn't that so boy, now get Carlos out." Shock by what he saw, as Joe advances towards him.

"It's me feller?"

But his growl was enough to get Carlos out, then she said, "You keep forgetting I am a married woman Young Prince and now you are a married man, so stay within your boundary and I will stay within mine."

Courtney, lock the door as he step out, "Here you go boy, you are a good feller and you deserved a threat."

Walking into the house angry, slamming the door, mumbling to himself who does she think she is? I am going to be the next King in this Island.

Seeing his Mom standing at Rufus's door hoping she didn't hear him when she said,. "What is the matter with you Carlos, do you want to destroy what the storm leave in the house?"

"I am sorry mom but you won't believe what just happen?"

"Well, if you don't spit it out, I won't know what the problem is?" His mother snapped at him.

"I just went to visit Pappie and Grandmother, but that stupid Miss Brown won't let me, and Joe is so stupid he almost eat me, I had to leave.

I can't believe that girl, and on top of it, she commands Joe saying, Martha told you to protect me, so get him out. God how boldface she could be, using our own dog against me."

Hearing how angry he was, Rufus recalled she used the exact words Carlos just said, she said Martha said that to her while he was there. I must see Martha, but how? I could barely move.'

Closing his eyes, "Lord, I know Martha said she was going into hiding, away from Mom, she is your servant, make a way for Martha to come to me and move Mom out of the way."

When Oliver came, Rufus ask him to close the door, "Yes Sir."

"Oliver, don't let anyone know, but ask Dad if supplies have been sent to the cottage, and gas for the generator please.

Oh and one other thing, when you go to the market to get vegetables, if you see Martha, will you tell her I am unwell and need to see her, and don't let the others know of my request."

"Yes Sir."

Walking into the kitchen overhearing Mrs. Dawson saying, "I must see Martha, I tried so many times yet this stranger meets her, why is that? and what is going on?"

Oliver whispers, "Exactly, what is really going on in this house? Suddenly everyone wants to see Martha.'

He had just finished making a fresh jug of orange juice, when the grand Master enters the kitchen, and he looks worn out.

Oliver knows if he goes to takes a lie down now, then the message the young Master give him, won't be delivered, and he was looking so worried.

Placing a glass of juice in front of him. "Sir, I need your advice."

"I am brain dead Oliver, right now I could barely think much less to give advice, maybe in the morning my friend."

"Thank you, Sir, and Sir the young Master wanted to know if the supplies had been delivered to the cottage, and if you drop gas for the generator?"

"Dear God, how could I forgot the generator, it had broken down since the storm, and the supplies came a few days ago."

"Sir, how about I drop the supplies this evening, and in the morning I will remind you about the generator."

"Thank you my friend, you are a good worker and a member of my family."

"Thank you, Sir."

"And Oliver, please don't carry any meat stuff, you can carry can food with meat so she could feed Joe, and if Rufus asks please tell him, yes, so he won't worry."

"Okay Sir, I understand that the burden you are carrying on your shoulders right now is very heavy, but don't worry Sir, I am here to help."

Noticing Oliver was going to dish out his food, "Oliver leave that, I will get someone to dish out my food, just hurry and drop the supplies."

Watching him take a container and pack some food for her, 'Is he aware that Ma and Pappie isn't home?'
