Chapter 14

"Oi! Dumbass! You plan on getting up any time soon?"

Suni rubbed her eyes, opening them after just to look at Valente who was standing there with clothes on. He had a red hoodie and a jacket above it and the usual pants, looking at her with eyebrows raised.

"We have to go. So pack yourself up with clothes." He threw the clothes he bought for her.

"M-Money? How did you?" Suni asked, clearly puzzled. How did he get money to buy clothes?

"I worked since you were passed out like dead yesterday." He smiled proudly.

"You should've woken me up." She tilted her head, pouting.

He scoffed. "Couldn't, you had a fever."

"Eh? But you were sleeping with me so h-how?"

"You had it from before, dumbass! Now go wear your clothes."

Suni nodded, getting up from the bed and running to the washroom to change her clothes so that they could reach the dark shadows, fast. They both did not want to postpone things, knowing Casper now had the real map.

"I'm done," Suni mumbled, coming out.

Valente's gaze shifted towards the girl, instantly cooing. She looked like a soft little bear in the clothes.

He reached his hand to squeeze her face and move it from side to side, watching as her lips pouted like a fish. He giggled.

"Let's go eat and then we'll leave."

The omega nodded and was about to open the door to get out but a shiver ran down her spine as her ears twitched at the footsteps being heard before.

"I-It's my brother!" She whispered, stepping backward. "Please don't open the door." She requested, looking at Valente with pleading and teary eyes. "H-he'll take me a-away."

The redhead furrowed his brows. "Calm down. It's okay, I won't. This lavender-like smell is your brothers?" He said, walking closer to her and wrapping an arm around her waist unknowingly.

"Y-Yeah! I-I don't wanna go back." She whispered.

Valente shushed her. "I don't think he is here to hurt you. He doesn't smell harmful."

Both of their eyes popped out as the door kicked open revealing Suni's brother. Her breath hitched, moving back to the alpha's chest.

"I won't let you touch her," Valente growled.

"Give her back. She isn't yours." Her brother said nonchalantly. "Come back, Suni. Father is worried."

Suni shook her head violently.

"I am not coming back. I-I don't want! P-Please, let me go. You don't care a-about me a-anyways. Please, Damon."

"Father ordered me. You have to come back." Damon, her brother said, indifferent.

"I don't want to! You always ignore me!" Suni snapped. "Father always scolded me and abused me for no reason! I had to do all the work! The whole Kingdom hates me! You hate me! Everyone does!" Her eyes widened by how much she just spoke and what she just spoke.

Nothing came out of her mouth anymore as Valente smirked at her brother who was stupefied. He looked so funny.

"You heard her. Now stop giving her a hard time." The redhead spoke up, seriously.

"You deserve it! Don't act like you aren't the reason our kingdom died!"

Suni's mouth went agape. "W-What?"

Valente looked shocked and awkwardly at Damon who was crying.

"You destroyed our family. You're the evil one! Not my father." Damon cried out.

"W-What d-d-did I do?" She whispered, crying.

"OH STOP ACTING ALREADY! I HATE YOU!" Her brother yelled.

"P-Please tell me, Damon. I-I-I don't know what you're t-talking--"

"SHUT UP! YOU WANNA GO! YOU WANNA LEAVE US?! DON'T YOU!? LEAVE US AND DIE!" He yelled cutting her off as he panted. "Let me give you a bit of advice, boy. Don't get involved with her, leave her to suffer because she deserves to. Do it before she destroys your life."

Suni fell down on the floor, really wanting to die at the moment. A person's mind couldn't handle this much of a mess.

Valente looked at the alpha, flabbergasted as he was leaving. The sad omega's cries got him out of the daze he was in.

He looked down, "Shit!" He dropped down to his knees to hug the trembling soul.

"D-Don't l-leave m-me, please!" She whispered, her voice cracking, breaking Valente's heart into pieces.

"I'll never leave you." He rubbed her back and kissed her forehead.

"I-I am sorry I-I got you involved in t-this."

"Shut up! I-- Just shut up." He said shutting his eyes close. It hurt him seeing her like this.

"I'm o-okay now." Suni pulled back after a while and wiped her tears, sniffling cutely. "Can we find my brother? I wanna know w-what he was talking about."

"No. Don't see him again." Valente sighed angrily. "I could smell your blood is different, it's almost like he's not even your brother. So don't care about your fucking bother and move on. I'll always be with you." He said.

"B-But If I'm not your mate--"

"I'll reject my mate if its not you." He said with such certainty in his voice which made Suni believe him more than anyone.

"B-But--"

"I don't care! I love you!" He breathed in sharply.

Suni's eyes widened as Valente dived in to kiss her. It was so sudden. She was just processing unable to kiss back. His words rang in her mind. He loved her. In such a short time. And it was the truth. He was being honest and anyone could feel it. Her heart melted as she closed her eyes, melting into the sweet french kiss. She was overwhelmed with sudden happiness.

"Say it back if you do, dumbass." He pulled out of the kiss, looking into her eyes.

"I do! I love you!" She smiled, closing her eyes causing his heart to race as he kissed her again, lovingly. They loved each other and it hadn't even been a whole month. Both were scared, what if their mates turn out to be different people?

"I love you, I fucking love you." He growled, pulling back and ruffling her hair softly.

"M-Me too!"

Suni flushed in embarrassment when her tummy growled, begging her to feed it.

"Let's go eat something." Valente chuckled.

She nodded.

"We'll leave after that."

She nodded again.

The door slammed open and her father came in view this time.

"Time to come back, brat."
