Hidden Quest

Rayn filled the form for the raid and reached out to the location where the gate located. The gate was not too far from where he was and it took him only 15 minutes to reach.

The gate was classified as D rank and only the C rank and D rank hunters were allowed to raid. Rayn reached near the gate and saw that the party was ready and waiting for him to join them.

The leader of the raiding party moved forward and reached to Rayn and said *'Welcome newbie. I'm Alex. You must be Rayn, right?'* The guy was looking muscular and was wearing expensive equipments.

Rayn replied *'Yes, I'm Rayn and I would be in your care. But are you sure that you just need me to carry the luggage throughout the raid and nothing else?'*

Alex replied *'Yes, that's all you need to do.'*

*'And you will still give me 60,000 cash ($700)?"

*'Yes , you are right but don't think that it's easy to carry all those luggage. All the expensive equipments are inside the luggage. So, be careful with it.'*

Rayn had some doubt about what Alex said but he didn't have much of a choice than to follow him because he needed money. So without any further questions he followed them.

The equipments were pretty heavy for a normal human but because Rayn was a hunter it was easy for him to carry. This would be Rayn's first raiding experience. As they entered the gate everything went dark.

Alex spell some enchantment and said a line.

*"Let their be light."*

The room filled with light and everything became clearer. It was the first time for Rayn to see a person doing magic. It made him amused.

They begin their hunting but they couldn't find any monsters. Everything became silent and then suddenly big spider's attacked them.

Alex commanded everybody and they followed him precisely. Their were 15 members including Rayn.

Alex ordered everybody *'Healers cast buff and tankers protect. Deal with the one's in the front and mages cast fire spells.'*

It was a good strategy to deal with the monsters and after few minutes they killed all the spider's. Monster leaves magic stone's when they die and their remaining were used for making equipments. They sell for a good price.

Most of the dungeon don't have mana crystals. They are so much rare and searching for them is like wasting time and money. So it was impossible to get a mana crystals. But it was unbelievable what they saw next. One part of the dungeon was covered full of crystals.

They are so expensive that One could even live his entire life if he sells 20 of them. That's how much rare they are. They started mining the stones and making strategies to proceed further. Rayn was left alone as he was not hunting with them.

As he was getting bored he saw something between the rocks. He tried to see but he didn't get a clear vision. So, he tried to reach by his hands. It felt like some kind of lever so he pulled it and then suddenly the dungeon started shaking. Everybody got confused.

*'What's happening? Why the dungeon is shaking?'*

*'I think it an earthquake.'*

*'Fool. Earthquake doesn't occur in dungeons.'*

As they were trying to get a hold of themselves suddenly a big door popped from behind the rocks. And then the dungeon stopped shaking. They got confused because it was something they saw for the first time.

*'What is happening? What is that massive door?'*

*'They didn't said anything about this. What should we do now leader?'*

*'I think it's like a hidden bonus quest or something.'*

*'Yeah! Maybe you are right. What do you think leader?'*

*'Maybe, It looks like it some kind of a hidden bonus but it might be dangerous.'*

*'What could even happen. It's just a D rank dungeon.'*

*'What if we hit a jackpot or something then even Rayn would be able to get his shares. Don't you think leader it's worth it?'*

*'Yeah! Maybe you are right. We should take the risk. But beware don't let your guards down.'*

Because the door was massive they thought that it would be difficult for them to open the door. They used their full strength to open it but it opened very smoothly. As they stepped in the room they felt like something was gazing at them. They got afraid and got into formation.

Then the flames light up and it was of blue flame and what they saw next made them freezed. All the excitement and joy what they were having before entering the room was gone within a second.

It was a Dungeon guardian. A guardian which is classified as S rank and can only be found in a S rank gate which was in front of them.

It was sitting in the throne like a king and was gazing them like humans are insects to him. A normal dungeon guardian was only 10 meters tall but the one which was in front of them was 30 meters tall.

By seeing them it made a horrific smile which made them shiver. Hope was meaning less for them. Their wasn't a way for them to escape from that thing. It moved it's fingers at one of the raiding team member and shot a lighting at him and without a inch he disappeared. No, he was killed within a single second.

Another one of them panicked and tried to run away towards the door but he was killed by something other than the dungeon guardian. And when they saw their surrounding they saw that they were surrounded by mutant warewolfs which are 15 meters tall.

At last everything became meaningless, two of their members were killed in a second and escaping was not an option. Rayn was in a state of fear where he couldn't even lift his finger.

Their leader casted a spell on the warewolfs which was in front of them and launched fire attacks and said *'I will make an opening for all of you. So, you should get a hold of yourself and escape from here.'*

As they heard those words they felt a little bit of hope and they started fighting alongside their leader. Even Rayn was fighting with them. A member gave a sword to him and casted a spell which helped rayn to fight along side them.

They thought that they could have a chance of escaping. But after 5 minutes the only thing which can be seen was blood and fire everywhere.

The 15 members who went inside along with Rayn were dead and he was the only one who was still alive.

He couldn't feel his left hand and both the legs. He lost so much blood and was about to die.

Their was only one thing which came in his mind 'Why did I apply for this raid? How did this happened? Instead of slacking and taking it lightly I should have prepared and trained myself. I don't want to die yet. If only, if only I could get another chance.'

As he was furious and angered flow through him he yelled in agony *'I will kill everyone of you. I won't let you live. You motherf***** bastard.'*

Suddenly something unexpected happened. A notification popped in front of him and the text was *"You have triggered the hidden quest for Rule Over Darkness. Would you like to accept it. Yes/No"* He didn't understand anything what was going on. As he was filled with rage and agony he didn't waste a single second and accepted it.

Then what happened next was mind blowing. Darkness was coming out from the mark of his right hand and it covered his whole body. The crystal red eyes which was frightening , gazed at the dungeon guardian and made it shiver.

It wasn't rayn, it was as if something took over him and controled it. As he lift his hand and pointed at the guardian, it left it's throne and defended itself but it was meaning less and then a dark lighting struck the guardian and everything went blank.

Then Rayn opened his eyes but he was in the hospital. He couldn't understand what happened. And then suddenly he remembered everything. Then a girl came in and shouted at Rayn.*'What were you doing? What if something would have happened to you. You should be careful. What will I do if you die. You are the only one for whom I'm still alive.'*

By seeing her a thought came in his mind 'I am a moron who even forgot that he had a little sister who was waiting for him to return.'

Here we are introduced with Rayn's only family member and her name was Lilia. She was so pretty and was a high schooler. But that was not which made him confused though.

Rayn asked Lilia *'Hey sis, do you see this screen?'*

She replied *'What screen? Don't tell me you hurt your head. I think I should call the doctor.'*

*'No , no. You don't have to call doctor I'm alright.'*

*'It's good to see you doing well. But you shouldn't do something crazy like that again. I know we are running from financial problems but I will manage that. But please don't put yourself in harm. What will I do if you will also leave me all alone after mother and father. How will I live.'*

She started crying then Rayn took her in his arm's and patted her head and said *'You silly. Why would I leave you alone when you are the only one I have in this world.'*

She calmed down and then left Rayn. But Rayn was confused 'Why couldn't she was able to see the screen infront of me. And moreover my hand and legs were cut off then how did it get attached again and what happened with the Dungeon Guardian?'

As he was thinking he saw the screen which displayed *"Open the rewards for receiving the hidden quest."*
