E Rank Hunter

Rayn followed Elli and they went inside the mental releam room. It was a totally different experience for him. As he stepped inside, a notification screen popped in front of him and asked him *"Do you wish to proceed with mental fitness checkup? Yes/No"* Rayn moved his hand and clicked on Yes and then the next moment he was flying in the air , like something was carrying him in the air. He got panicked and struggle to get down but then Elli moved forward and told him that *'You don't have to fear anything. This a process from which everyone have to go through.'*

Rayn calmed down and then the process begined and he felt at ease when the checkup started. Everything went smoothly and then the checkup ended. After then Rayn changed his clothes and went to ask Elli to get his answers. Elli was waiting for him outside of his room. Rayn was about to ask Elli but before he could ask anything, she started explaining everything to him.

She explained Rayn everything but it was too hard for him to believe this. From Rayn's point of view 'According to Elli this planet's name is Havoc 568B which was named after the discovery of the Xerus(Zehrus) Solar System.'

It was difficult for him to believe what she said next. She said*'So, you were all living in a simulation and it was for the research purpose. It was initiated by Mother World. And the human's have almost reached towards the type 8 civilization.'*

*'We are capable of controlling the whole metaverse. And even travel in every dimension is possible.'*

Rayn asked her *'So why where we kept in the simulation and what was the research for?*'

Elli replied *'It was basically to test that, what we have taken the steps to reach where we are now will it be different from what you people will take. In other words to check whether it was necessary to destroy the planet earth for the growth of new civilization of humanity.'*

As Rayn heard these words he freezed and was in a state of shock. He asked Elli *'So you mean that humanity destroyed Earth in order to achieve type 7 civilization?'*

Elli replied *'It's not entirely like that. We destroyed Earth because we didn't have much choice. People were dying from hunger. Air became more and more polluted because of that the oxygen supply became hard and eventually the day came when even the water dried up.*'

*'All the nations United and became one which is now known as Mother World and began searching for a more compatible planet to live.'*

*'After so many decades of searching we finally found a planet but it was already occupied by other species. We tried to negotiate with them but they refused and then a war broke out. In which many life's were sacrificed and after 50 years of war we finally won and began our first type 2 human civilization on planet Cervem 256E. From there on we began to develop a civilization which would change the laws of physics.'*

*'During those many decades we face countless enemies and dangers but we stood still in all those hardships.'*

*'Then we travelled through countless galaxies and found many Solar Systems for the human civilization.'*

*'Then we discovered magic and developed it with technology to see what we can create. And now here we are, the civilization which wasn't even known what lies in space and what is magic, found a way to develop it and mastered it.'*

As Elli explained everything to Rayn he began to understand everything bit by bit.

*'And now our only goal is to redevelop the Earth to its original state.'*

As Elli was explaining a thought came in Rayn's mind and he asked her *'Then what about the residents of the planet, where the type 2 civilization began? And why have you stopped the simulation when it was going well?'*

Elli replied *'We negotiated with them and gave them a chance to stay with us and for the end of simulation, a problem came up and we didn't have a choice but to shut down the simulation.'*

*'What kind of problem?'*

*'You don't have the right to know that. It is restricted from public.'*

Rayn then asked Elli *'Ok, everything is making sense now but what about the line on my hand?'*

Elli replied *'It's indicates that you can use magic but it's strange.'*

Rayn asked *'What do you mean by Strange?'*

Elli replied *'It's impossible to get a mark in the simulation. And not only that we don't even have any record regarding the magic you posses. Basically a person's magic is determined by their mark and colour but we don't have any data regarding your black mark but one thing is sure. Maybe you are lower of the lowest than every other magic element because of that your mark colour hasn't been registered in our data base. '*

Rayn was having hope that he might be able to use magic power but now that Elli said that he doesn't have any magic power he lost all his hope. By seeing Rayn Elli felt bad, to cheer him up Elli said *'But it doesn't mean that you can't be entered into lower space galaxy gates. You can atleast earn a decent earning if you are evaluated as D rank or E rank. To proceed with your evaluation go to the Space Guild management bureau for evaluation and get a space hunting licence.'*

By hearing those words Rayn's eyes sparkled and he thought in his mind 'I don't get a single thing what she is saying but it sounds cool.'

Elli understand by Rayn's reaction and said*'You didn't get a single point what I just said now,did you?'*

*'No mam.'* he replied proudly.

*'So, basically a lot of gates appears every single minute in every corner of the galaxy and most of them leads to the different dimension where monsters roam. And we call them Space galaxy gates.'*

*'It is different from dungeon gates because everytime it's random whether the gate will have a dungeon route or a unknown place where all the high ranking monster roams or a gate which leads to a planet of monsters. If the gates are not cleared within the allotted time then a gate breakout occurs and monsters attack the planet which is nearest to them. So in order to stop the gate breakout and control the monsters, Space Guild's were created.'*

*'All the guild's are organized by the Space Guild management bureau where the evaluation process and hunting licence's are proceeded.'*

*'So you just need to be evaluated and get a licence. And remember to get a decent ranking because to use magic, mana is required and the higher the mana will be the more powerful your magic will be but their is a limitation, you cannot increase your mana no matter how hard you try. Their are some rare cases where the rankers might increase their mana capacity and apply for re-evaluation test but it's only 20% or 30% not more than that. So just hope that you get a decent ranking.'*

After that Elli gave Rayn the location of the Space Guild Management Bureau he left to get a huntre's licence. He was amazed that how much human's have developed and to think that what he read in novel's about magic and all would become reality. And so he finally reached SGMB(Space Guild Management Bureau) and went inside. He saw many rankers and was not having any more patience to get his ranking licence.

He registered his name for evaluation in the registration counter and waited in front of the evaluation room for his number. He saw people in front of the evaluation room and thought 'So, they are also here for their evaluation.'

A random guy *'What if I don't get a decent ranking and because of that I end up living like a poor. What will happen to my family and how will I earn money?.'*

Person next to Rayn*'Hey, see that man. Doesn't he look like a fool. Why should you fear of what rank you will get when it's already written in your fate. Just accept it and be happy of what you get. Don't you agree?'*

Rayn replied *'You don't look like tense mister.'*

Man replied *'Why should I be tensed when I am sure that I will get a A rank or B rank. Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!'*

*'Next person come in.'*

*'So it's my turn. See ya kiddo!! I hope that you will get atleast D rank.Ha! Ha! Ha'*

After a while...

*'I can't believe I got a E rank'*

*'Next up come in.'*

The man who was tensed a while ago*'Just don't be a E rank! Just don't be a E rank'*

After a while...

*'Yah!! I finally I got a C rank.'* He cried in joy.

*'Next person come in.'*

And it was finally Rayn's turn. He was also tensed but he didn't let it take over him, instead he went inside with full of courage.

*'Please put your hand on the mana measuring device.'*

As he touched the mana measuring device the orb glowed a very little. The women who was incharge of evaluation she didn't saw a light and then she said rayn to put his hand again and then she saw a very little light.

She said Rayn that *'Your mana output is 500 and it is lowest of the low. It's below E rank. You are slightest bit stronger than an ordinary human and you can use a little bit of magic power. This is your hunting licence. You can raid gates which are E rank but inorder to raid you have to be in a squad. If you raid a gate which is higher than your rank you will die. So prefer not to get involved in unnecessary dangers. Thankyou Sir.'*

Now that Rayn got his hunting licence he started searching online for a Raid where he can participate to earn some money. Although he wasn't very happy of his rank but he didn't have much of a choice.He wasn't expecting much after what Elli said so he just accept what rank he got. He searched through online but didn't get a single form for E rank. And after much of going through online and searching for an hour he found a form which required a E rank hunter.
