Chapter Six_Ready!

She quietly climbed the stone steps to her apartment.

Opening the door, she shut it behind her.

Once inside she heaved a great sigh, with her back resting on the door.

It was going to be a tricky assignment.

Later in the day, a big suitcase lay open on the bed, and inside it were all sorts of weapons, ranging from portable guns, to double-edged knives, and mini grenades.

Spray acid in disposable cans was also included.

She stood looking at her assortment of tools, trying to pick out the most appropriate or suitable one.

She finally settled on a small silencer.

It was small enough to be hidden anywhere.

Satisfied, she started laying out her work clothes.

The intel inside the big brown envelope, stated that it was going to be a wedding on a beach.

The after-party was the same venue.

The after-party was it, she decided.

Lying on her bed, beside the big suitcase, was a grey halter-neck gown, complete with a pair of sling-backs, and a demure-looking clutch bag.

Nothing flashy, just sensible.

The clutch bag contained a folded chloroform hanky, and some explosive mint gums.

The dark infrared sunglasses were what she was going to place on her face, to effectively disguise her features.

She was ready.

Finished, she switched on the tele and proceeded to do some sit-ups, accompanied by the sounds droning out from it.
