Status Update

Waking up from a good slumber, Alex stood up from his bed. Walking outside of his room, he was greeted by Kronos who had an intrigued expression plastered on his face.

"Did you had fun in the dungeon?"

Hearing his question, Alex answered even his mind was still clouded as he was still filling drowsy.

"Well, honestly yes. It's a fun experience even the dungeon wanted to totally annihilate me."

The amused expression of Kronos disappeared hearing that.

"That's not quite a nice thing to hear early in the morning."

Mumbled Kronos mostly talking to himself wondering what might Alex encountered. Seeing him safe without any sign of bruise and wounds, he knew it had turned out fine so there's no need to worry much.

"Take off your shirt Alex. I'm curious about something."

Alex who was still drowsy, absentmindedly followed Kronos and took his shirt off.

"Let's see."

Kronos mumbled as he inspected Alex's status.

'Hmm. Normally, people only grow 10 points or slightly more in a day during their beginner days.'

Kronos calmly processed in his mind.

"No mistake about it, he definitely encountered a certain trouble yesterday if his stats has greatly increased by 600 points in just a day."

Knowing the details of his skills, if Alex overcome a disadvantageous situation and emerged victorious, the greater his growth will be.

'Also, the stats that increased the most was his magic, which means he had repeatedly use his magic yesterday. Did he perhaps experienced Mind Zero?'

Kronos stared at Alex who had fallen asleep again the moment he lied down for his stats to be inspected.

'I think it's not possible for him to experience Mind Zero, with his researches during the years, he should already aware what's the consequences of entering Mind Zero inside the dungeon especially if he is just in solo.'

Knowing that Alex would prepare himself to not underestimate the dungeon, Kronos didn't have to worry about him.

'But for him to be this tired, let's have him sleep longer.'

Kronos placed Alex to let him continue sleep and comfort as he opened the cafe for the day and do many things he had to do.

After approximately one and half hour, Alex opened his eyes. Taking a bath and changing his clothes, he walked out of his room and went straight to the kitchen, grabbed and enjoyed his meal that Kronos had prepared before he left to the cafe.

Well the cafe that Kronos own was on the first floor of the same building where Alex and Kronos live and they were making the second floor their home so it's correct to say that before Kronos went down to manage the cafe.

Finishing eating, washing the dish and brushing his teeth, Alex immediately set off and went straight to the nearest smithy to buy some daggers or knives as many as he could within the budget of 5K Valis.

After buying 5 of the lowest quality knives after bargaining for a discounted price, Alex decided to buy mind potion using the rest of his money.

'Even the lowest quality of mind potion will do.'

Alex sighed as he was still broke but cheered himself up that had just started yesterday so it should only be natural. Finishing his shopping, he went straight to revisit the guild headquarters.

The main building of the Guild is called the Pantheon. It is a wide space with counters for adventurers to talk with their advisors and also has an exchange area. There are also small meeting boxes where adventurers can talk one on one with their advisor without anyone else hearing them. Aside from that, there is a library area.

It was still early in the morning yet many adventurers were lined up and every service window had a guild staff with it.

"Next please! Guest what help do you need?"

After waiting and lining up for a while, finally it was his turn. Alex looked at a guild staff that has long red hair and wears the Guild uniform. Her hair had reached all the way to her waist, she had a pair of red ears in her head and her eyes were golden but she had a stoic disposition.

"I'm Alex Uchiha, I had just registered yesterday so I would like to undergo the process which newbies like me should have."

Alex said with a polite smile on his face as he secretly appreciated the beauty in front of him. She turned around and went to a desk a few meters behind her and bowed down to pick a specific paper.

"So you're that Alex Uchiha, the one that I'm assigned to be an advisor for."

Alex eyes widened thinking for some kind coincidence for him to had approached her.

"My name is Rose Fannett, pleasure to meet you."

She slightly bowed her head while introducing her name. Hearing that, Alex smiled and reply.

"The pleasure is mine, Miss Rose Fannett."

After finishing the processes in the guild, Alex went straight to the dungeon to grind some stats. Knowing that increasing your stats had an effect in not just physical abilities, Alex was very eager to increase his stats.

Inside the dungeon on the first floor, Alex tested if the Ninjutsu he knows would work on this world. Instead of using chakra, Alex wanted to know if Falna can be substituted to it. He knew that the first step to achieve this was that he should have a great control over his Falna which is like a child's play to him who was used in controlling a higher form of power known as divine power or divinity which were commonly called in this world as Arcanum.

Snake → Ram → Monkey → Boar → Horse → Tiger

Following the hand signs of his memories, Alex kneads the Falna inside his body and turns it into fire, which he expel from his mouth. Looking at the front that the dungeon has brought him a greater horde of monsters than before which numbered above 30 at first glance, Alex inputted more Falna as based on the memory, the more chakra or Falna he will use, the more greater the flames that are produced.

"Fire Style: Grand Fireball!"

Flames took shape as Alex fired the flames that took form of a giant orb which had atleast 10 meters large into the horde of monsters. Upon impact, the fireball was powerful enough to create a crater at the ground and vaporise the surroundings.

Looking at the goblins and kobolds, he saw many were burned to death but some were still alive as they weren't in the concentrated part where the attack of Alex landed but still, the fireball causes them extensive burns which made them screeches and howled in pain and agony.

"Crap...The consumption!"

Alex muttered as he suddenly felt an intense dizziness and drowsiness. Before he could succumb to it, Alex hurriedly drunk a Mind Potion restoring his body to the optimum condition as if the drowsiness disappeared like it had never been there.

"That's dangerous and a close call."

Alex muttered as he clenched his fingers tighter to his sword sword but he was glad that it worked. He also speculated that it might not have used a slot in his magic but that was still his speculation that he couldn't confirm for the moment.

Taking a deep breath to calm his exhausted nerves, Alex tried to focus through all the beasts' howls echoing the corridor. Looking straight at their eyes that is filled with bloodlust and intense hatred, Alex dashed forward maximizing his speed and attacked using his short sword.

Swiftly, Alex raise the sword and pounced forward. Simultaneously stabbing in their vitals such as the back, head, neck, eyes and chest, by pushing his body to maximize his speed, he managed to attack several times in quick succession.

Letting out an agonized shriek, the legs of beasts shriveled up and curled towards their bodies. Gazing to the nearest kobold, Alex directly hit and pierced through the heart.

Feeling something, Alex immediately rolled over his body, instantly withdrawing his sword from the first kill and immediately threw it straight to them.

The targeted goblin miraculously ducked but Alex wasn't bothered with that. Disappearing in his position, Alex reappeared at the short sword he had thrown only leaving a crimson flash behind.

Before the beasts could react, Alex slashed down their throats. Looking around after his targets vanished only leaving their magic stones, Alex saw that there were only last three that were moving.

Without much thought, Alex increased his pace and thew a dagger from his backpack towards them. The dagger he had thrown swiftly hit one of them in the head which made it screech in agony.

Alex instantly appeared on its front, immediately withdrawing the dagger in the head, with the dagger in his hand together with the short sword in the other, Alex stabbed at the center of the back, engaging the beasts in close combat with two weapons tightly held with both hands.

After quickly killing one of them, Alex swiftly proceeded to the other while trying to keep his cool and calm his breath. Noticing that one is attacking his back, Alex immediately ducked, and rolled back.

Looking at the one kobold above, gathered his strength at his foot, Alex buried his boots at its mouth. Alex could sense the monsters' fear towards him but he was not stopping not wanting to break his momentum.

Step, slash, stabbed. Alex repeated the same process until all beasts around him has completely fallen. Grabbing and picking up the loots, Alex proceeded and made his way to the second floor.
