Glaring at Alex who took his stance, the Juggernaut growled revealing it's sharp teeth.

Juggernaut is basically a security mechanism of the dungeon. If a large amount of damage gets done to the dungeon's wall / environment the dungeon will try to protect itself by summoning the juggernaut.

Also depending on what floor the juggernaut is summoned on determine its strength. It gets born in a state in which it should realistically be able to kill those doing the damage.

That's why Alex was not underestimating it even the slightest after hearing that from Ottar. Unlike its unstoppable rampage earlier, the Juggernaut stopped moving as its eyes were glaring at Alex and occasionally glancing where the daggers that was placed everywhere.

As it was created to be an apex predator, its instinct or intuition was very sharp. It detected that Alex was about to do something that would pose a great threat on itself.

Looking at his daggers with Flying Raijin marks that was all over the place, Alex smiled as he instantly appeared behind the Juggernaut.

The Juggernaut unconsciously shrieked as Alex stabbed a dagger in back, turning into a crimson flash again, Alex teleported where it's leg was located and rapidly slashed his sword and stabbed his dagger into its abdomen.

The Juggernaut released a deafening roar and swang its claws around itself. Unfortunately for the Juggernaut, its claw didn't hit anything as all it could see was a non stop barrage of Alex's attack who occasionally popped out from nowhere.

Looking at the crimson flashes, Ottar murmured.

"He had excellent aim and could coordinate his throws' timing and placement to allow him to perform complex manoeuvres."

After seeing that Alex wasn't in any trouble despite having an arm and a leg being severed, Ottar continued on analyzing the talented level 1 who could keep up with a Juggernaut.

"His fighting style revolved mainly around suddenly appearing and just as quickly taking down enemies."

Ottar found Alex as someone who was quite nimble as he moved back and forth through the dungeon.

"Vital Strike!" Alex appeared above it's head and struck the Juggernaut in the head, causing it to enter a dazed state.

「Scritch! Scritch!」The Juggernaut shrieked out in pain. It pounced towards him. Because the Juggernaut's speed was much faster than his base agility, its sudden change in targets caught Alex off guard, forcing him to hastily fall back.

Despite his attempts to flee using Flying Raijin, the Juggernaut's attack still managed to pierced through him. Alex could feel that he almost died as his heart was pierced by the Juggernaut that estimated his timing.

A crimson blur streaked across the floor. Shortly after, the sound of shattering glass echoed as the dagger that Ottar picked from the floor cleaved through the Juggernaut.

A clean slash, something that would easily split apart any monster or so it would appear. But instead of easily bisecting the Juggernaut, Ottar's sword bounced off.

The Juggernaut crosses its arms making use of its claws to defend from Ottar's attack.

"It seems like its really early for you to be a match against a Juggernaut."

Ottar murmured towards Alex who's blood splurged from his chest. Seeing Ottar's nonchalant action despite his attack was defended, Alex could guess that Ottar was still testing him.

From the speed and strength that Ottar had shown, he could easily beat the Juggernaut. He hadn't even tapped any of skills and magic yet. Alex couldn't accurately gauge Ottar's power but Alex could tell that the Juggernaut was greatly weaker than him and Ottar stronger than Alex by larger margin.

"I'm fine."

Alex replied swiping the blood in his mouth. Ottar was once again surprised that Alex was still able to stand and speak even being pierced in the heart.

However, Ottar was once again surprised the moment his gaze landed on Alex's eyes.

"Is it just me or something had changed with those eyes?"

Ottar noticed that Alex's eyes had changed. He knew it wasn't a fluke. The eyes of Alex now had three comma like pattern which were unlike the two tomoe before.

"I think I could do better from now on."

Feeling the strong surge of power, Alex could feel that his chance of winning had become higher despite knowing that this rise of strength was only temporary.

Alex could now feel something he had been unable with his level 1 senses. Instantly appearing in front of the Juggernaut, Alex vertically slashed the Juggernaut.

Alex widened his eyes. He was now able to use his sword more fluidly with the strengthened senses of temporarily becoming a level 2 and his Intermediate Sword Mastery had also risen.

As the Juggernaut was the dungeon's defense mechanis, it was meant to be virtually impossible for a novice adventurer to kill the Juggernaut alone.

Seeing the timer, Alex knew he had a less than a minute to beat the Juggernaut.

*Splash*

In just an instant, the Juggernaut already had several daggers stuck in his tough hide.

"To reach at this point, it would be thanks to those eyes."

Ottar muttered as he learned something about Alex.

It was insight.

After watching Alex for a while, he confirmed that Alex had 'eyes' that could properly view the situation of the battle and use it to his advantage.

*Kwang*

Alex then crushingly kicked off the ground after using Flying Raijin to appear behind, flinging himself towards the Juggernaut. As the Juggernaut heard and detected the kick, it rapidly turned around as it widely opened its jaws ready to bite.

*Pat*

Turning into crimson flash again and appearing at its side, Alex darted forward with Splitting Edge in his hand, dropped straight down towards it's head with Splitting Edge and Assassin's Decree in each hand.

*Puck*

Kwuuung!

With his head stabbed by two blades, Juggernaut twisted his body in horrendous pain.

Alex narrowed his eyes. Even with the increase in his strength, the Juggernaut was too strong, it even made him wonder how could such strong monster exist in Upper Floors. As Alex had to fight him alone, it would have taken him a long time even if he had fought at full capacity.

"However, it definitely became slower than before."

As Alex continued on attacking the Juggernaut, he could now capture its movements with his eyes which he couldn't earlier.

'Did my Sharingan had become a three tomoe?'

Alex couldn't think of anything else. If with two tomoe sharingan could allow him to see things 3 times slower than usual, now he felt everything had become even more slower by 5 times than his perception in his two tomoe sharingan.

No matter how tough the Juggernaut was, it wasn't able to endure Alex's barrage that even just a single second, Alex could land at least 50 strikes especially if it was already damaged to extreme and with the additional rise in Alex's power.

With the emergence of the notifications, the Juggernaut finally dropped dead and vanished making Alex breathe of relief.

Alex breathed heavily as he tried to catch his breath as he could now feel the tremendous fatigue of over exserting himself. He might be immune to all abnormal status but his stamina wasn't unlimited.

He then felt that the surging power within him was rapidly leaving his body. His three tomoe sharingan rotated as it turned back into a two tomoe sharingan.

Alex could feel the urge to sleep but he still didn't collapsed. His curiosity about the reward of the S-rank quest overcame his desire to rest.

Ottar murmured with satisfaction looking at the boy who was trying to calm his breathing. Seeing that he possessed the determination, talent, intellect and skills to overcome a hopeless situation, he acknowledged him even more.

Ottar decided to leave as they weren't that close in the first place. Looking at Alex with sparkling eyes, Ottar looked forward about the events that will take place in the future.

"Alex Uchiha. I look forward to your growth."

Not noticing the departure of Ottar, Alex was inwardly surprised.

"Fuse skills?"

Pounding! Pounding! Pounding!

His heart was beating like crazy. Many ideas immediately came into his mind. Alex was becoming excited just by reading the skill description.

Whoa.

Alex let out a breath he had been holding back. Alex immediately picked two of the skills he first had the moment he became an adventurer.

Two disparate skills merged into one, and a dark red spark occurred.
