Chapter 84: Astraea Familia Discussion Panel

(3rd Person: POV)

Entering Stardust Garden, Alise had a blank expression on her face.

Since ever since Filvis had confessed to her earlier atop the clocktower the thoughts in her head were scrambled and wouldn't return to normal no matter how much she tried to get them to do so.

'Filvis like me in that way.' Alise thought.

As she kept repeating the dark-haired elf's confession over and over again in her mind, she was hardly paying attention to anything else.

Thus she bumped into Neze and fell on her butt.

"Alise, watch where you're going." Neze said.

"Right, sorry." Alise said.

She then stood up and continued on her way.

Making Neze raise a brow in her direction.

Since usually Alise would make some sort of cheeky or snide remark. But this time she didn't, which told Neze that something was up with her captain.

However she decided not to pry into the matter.

For now at least.

Entering her room Alise went to lie face up on her bed and simply stare at the ceiling.

"I wonder, do I feel the same way about Filvis as she does for me?" Alise asked herself.

She then started thinking deeply about the matter.

Determined to find an answer.

She assumed it wouldn't be that hard.

Oh, Alise didn't know how wrong she was.

"Argh, why is this so hard?" Alise asked herself.

Her hands gripping the side of her head as she did so.

Over a week has passed since Filvis confessed to her, and she has made no progress at all on how to answer it.

But the fact Alise is having such a hard time coming up with an answer would make Filvis extremely happy if she knew.

Tossing and turning in her bed Alise finally stopped and then sighed.

"Why is this so hard?" She muttered to herself.

As she did so Alise sat up when someone knocked on her door.

"Yes, come in." She said.

When she did so Kaguya opened the door.

"Oh Kaguya, what's up, need something?" Alise asked.

But Kaguya said nothing in response.

Instead she simply placed a hand on her cheek and put a smile on her face.

Seeing this Alise felt a shiver run down her spine. Since whenever Kaguya put a smile on her face like the one she is wearing right now it usually meant she was up to something. Which usually spelled big trouble for someone else.

"Alise, come with me for a bit would you?" Kaguya asked.

"Sure." Alise said.

Since she knew refusing would be useless.

If she did Kaguya would simply drag her out of her room by force.

Getting up, Alise followed Kaguya into one of the many meeting rooms in their familia home.

After doing so she noticed her goddess Astraea, along with all her other familia members.

Except for Filvis.

"Oh, what's going on guys? Did we have a meeting today I forgot about?" Alise asked.

Everyone shook their heads.

"Actually captain, the reason we are all here is because we've noticed how distracted you've been this past week." Kaguya explained. "We've also noticed how a certain black-haired elf is avoiding you. So please, explain to us what is going on if you don't mind."

"What, nothing is going on." Alise quickly said.

But as she did so her familia members and Goddess all had the exact same thought.

'She's lying.'

Because after knowing Alise for as long as they all have they can tell when she's lying.

"Alise, stop lying." Lyra said.

"Yeah, please tell us what happened between you and Filvis?" Iska asked.

"Is it the reason you bumped into me the other day?" Neze questioned.

"Captain, come on." Noin spoke up.

"Alise, whatever it is we can handle it together." Astraea spoke.

The other familia members added in their own comments as well.

"You won't be leaving this room until you spill your guts." Kaguya spoke.

Wearing the same smile on her face as earlier.

"Alright, alright, just stop!" Alise cried. Getting a small blush on her face as she did so.

She then inhaled and exhaled several times to calm herself down.

"Ok, so here it is." Alise began. Her face becoming red again immediately, due to what she was about to reveal to the others. "So last week when Filvis and I went out she took me to the top of the clocktower near central park. Then she confessed to me."

"Confessed what?" Celty asked.

"That...That she likes me in a romantic sense!" Alise blurted out. "That she wants to date me and be my girlfriend!" She revealed to the others.

As she did so the entire room fell into silence.

You could hear a pin drop at the moment.

...

...

...

"Wow, I did not see this coming." Lyra spoke.

The others nodding their heads in agreement.

I mean they all pretty much could tell Filvis liked girls. But they never expected her first confession to be Alise of all people.

"I understand now." Astraea spoke. "So, is this why you've been distracted this past week?" She asked Alise.

Who nodded in response.

"Yeah." Alise admitted. "I've been thinking about how to answer Filvis' confession. But no matter what I can't seem to find an answer."

"Oh." Kaguya mused. "Well I think that in and of itself is your answer."

"What are you saying Kaguya?" Alise questioned.

"I'm saying since you didn't immediately come to the decision to reject our black-haired elf's feelings it must mean deep down you want to respond to them in some way." She explained.

"That's...well that's...I..." Alise stuttered. Her face suddenly turning as red as her hair.

She was at a complete loss for words.

Although Alise always knew she liked men, she can't say a few times that certain women didn't catch her eye.

But she simply played if off as being enamored by their looks and nothing else.

Now however due to Filvis' confession Alise was doing some serious soul searching. Thinking she might like woman as well.

However that is not an easy question to answer.

For her at least.

But now with Kaguya's words just now, things have become a bit more clearer.

"Oh captain, so you do like our little sister huh?" Lyra questioned. A cheeky smile on her face.

"Go for it Alise, we will support yours and Filvis relationship completely." Iska said.

"We will." Noin added.

"Captain, please hurry and tell Filvis how you feel." Celty said.

The others started encouraging Alise to respond to Filvis as well.

Overwhelming her.

"Stop, everyone just stop!" Alise shouted in complete and utter embarrassment.

But her fellow familia members simply smiled and kept teasing her about her and Filvis.

After all Alise is usually the one who teases them, so now that they have a chance to get some payback they are not going to pass it up.

Falling to her knees Alise curled up into a ball and wished to find a deep hole to crawl into in that moment.

Watching all this Astraea simply kept a smile on her face.

Happy at watching those she considered her daughter's enjoy their springtime of youth.

A/N: I just read the spoilers for Danmachi volume 18 today and I have to say Omoroi is not disappointing at all.

Ryuu become level six.

Bell ends up as level five.

Ottar become level eight.

Not to mention Ryuu confesses her feelings to Bell.

I can't wait until the english transaltion comes out.

On another note I hope Omori put Bell and Ryuu in a relationship, since I ship them hard. I mean Danmachi is a harem series in the frist place, so what's wrong with giving Bell both Ais and Ryuu.

Both of them are top waifu's.

And Ryuu herself is one of my top five waifu of all time.

Well that's all I wanted to say.
