Chapter I

I awoke to find myself in the middle of a black void.

Out of the souls who died on the day you did you have been chosen to be reincarnated in a new world with special powers!

What? I died? It all came flooding back to me at that moment. I now officially hate drunk drivers. Well, I did before but doubly now.

The power chosen for you is the Gamer! Your life will work as a video game! You will be able to see stats, levels, inventory, and grind for better loot!

The world chosen for you is the world of Naruto!

Now choose where you were born!

Naruto huh? I watched the anime and read some fanfic so I should know enough, right?

I 'scrolled' through the list of locations (most of which I'd never heard of) quickly.

"I suppose there is only one choice is there not?" I asked aloud, "Show me Hi no Kuni."

Hi no Kuni, home of Konohagakure the Village Hidden in the Leaves. Although not the most militaristic village the clans and prodigies of Konoha keep it as one of the strongest shinobi villages.

"I choose Hi no Kuni." I said.

A list of clans as well as one option to be clanless appeared.

I quickly narrowed it down to 2.

Senju- One of the two clans desendended directly from the Sage of Six Paths. +100 CP per level. +100 HP per level. Natural ability to use Senjutsu.

Uchiha- One of the two clans desendended directly from the Sage of Six Paths and wielders of the legendary Sharingan. Learn non-bloodline Jutsu 50% faster. Sharingan EXP plus 50%. -75% chakra from Sharingan use. +1 INT per level. +1 DEX per level. +50 base CP.

The extra CP and HP would definitely be useful but the Sharingan would be so overpowered. Especially at the start.

As I scrolled through the list of perks I saw a good few useless things as well as a good few things that would probably make me very strong.

For instance I could pick all five Element Affinities and be able to use all ninjutsu without any drawbacks which would be very useful.

Or I could pick all of the things which gave me extra HP and CP by level up. If I took these then my Chakra would be on the level of Jinchurikies and I would have more HP than anyone.

Problem was that these would certainly draw attention to me as a prodigy.

So screw all of that.

I decided quickly I was going to go for an assassin build.

Then my build morphed into a speedster/assassin as I remembered a certain Uchiha. I also threw in some tricks.

Flicker- You are very fast.

Plus 2 DEX per level.

Plus 50% EXP to Body Flicker Technique.

Unremarkable- You have a passively attractive face.

You do not get noticed easily in crowds.

Plus 50% EXP to stealth based missions and attacks.

Plus 50% bonus to stealth attacks and missions.

Plus 50% to EXP gained from Genjutsu techniques.

50% decrease to CP cost of Genjutsu.

Plus 50% damage dealt with swords.

Plus 50% EXP gained from Kenjutsu.

Swords never effect your movement.

You move silently while swords equipped.

Sealmaster- You are a natural at the art of sealing.

Have naturally straight and clear writing.

Plus 50% EXP gained from Fuinjutsu.

My build came with the downside of not choosing an Element Afinity. Meaning I'll just have the Element fate will choose for me.

Some might have been disappointed if they were reincarnated and given these Perks. Most would be surprised to learn I picked these Perks. But for me these were perfect. With these I could survive.

I blinked as there was a flash of light and then I appeared in a relatively soft bed with a wooden ceiling above me.

Reincation process complete! Now starting basic tutorial, to acc-

"Skip," I spoke in a decidedly prepubescent male voice, "Show me my Status page." I ordered deciding I probably already know the mechanics.

I was quite a bit confused as to why my [HP] and [CP] rose so much.

"Stat details?" I ventured, already regretting that I hadn't gone through the tutorial.

Level: Your overall ability level. The more you learn the higher a level you will have, each level you earn 5 ability points aswell as any bonus related to your perks.

EXP: You gain EXP with every action eventually forming a level. The amount of EXP gained may increase or decrease based on status or perk effects.

Title: Titles are gained with how you act or behave. Be careful, not all Titles are helpful to you and may cause people to act hostile.

HP: Hit Points, your health, this hits ZERO AND YOU DIE. There are no quick saves so be careful. Calculated by multiplying STR and VIT.

CP: Chakra Points, the amount of chakra you can use. If this hits zero and you try using Chakra you will receive a debuff and chance of misfiring as well as taking the Chakra owed from your HP. Calculated by multiplying WIS and INT.

STR: How strong you are.

INT: How smart you are.

DEX: How well you can maneuver your body.

VIT: How healthy you are.

WIS: How well you can make a decision.

LUK: How lucky you are.

Hmmm. That's good to know.

"Skills."

Fire-Release: Flickering Flame (Active) [Level 3] - User Creates small flames from their CP and launches them.

20 damage.

25% chance to inflict burn status.

Cost 30 CP per flame.

Basic Uchiha Intercepting Fist (Passive) [Level 5] - Basic Taijutsu style created for the Uchiha family to fully utilize their Sharingan by predicting and countering enemy attacks.

Plus 1 to DEX and STR per level.

Basic Shurikenjutsu (Passive) [Level 3] - The ability to throw something sharp and shiny at an opponent.

Plus 5% accuracy to all thrown weapons.

Basic Kenjutsu (Passive) [Level 5]- Basic ability to swing a sharp metal stick at someone.

Plus 1 to DEX and STR when a sword is equipped.

So it seems I only have basic training. Understandable considering I'm 4 years old.

I probably have [Gamer's Mind] as well seeing that I'm not freaking out.

Problem is I don't know what point of the timeline I'm in.

"Daisuke. Time to get up," My mother said knocking on my door.

"I'm up," I told her as I sat up, letting my instincts take over as if I had done this hundreds of times.

"Breakfast is on the table," She told me as I exited my room.

"Thank you."

"Good morning, Daisuke," My father told me as I sat down.

"Good morning," I answered before muttering under my breath, "[Observe]."

Very useful, I learned alot from that.

"Are you ready for the Academy today?" I was about to ask what she had meant but oddly enough my memories told me I was in fact joining the Academy today.

"I am," I answered, "But I should probably go take a shower now."

"Your lunch and tanto are on the counter when you are ready to leave. Your sister had wanted to walk you today."

"That's fine. I know she is on a mission." I was surprised at the disappointment on my father's face at my words.

"Missions are important but nothing should come before your family. Is that understood, Daisuke?" So my parents are Uchiha loyalists huh? Is the coup already being prepared?

My memories didn't tell me anything but I am only 4 so I probably wouldn't know even if there was anything.

"I understand, father."

I quickly showered and dressed in a black version of that shirt high collar shirt all the Uchiha wear.

I strapped my tanto onto my back and made my way out of my house taking the first step into the big bad Shinobi world.
