Chapter 7

A week has passed since I began building the array. It was done and I started to cultivate to increase my strength. I used pills to guide me and fix my body every time I reach my limit. So that my body will not explode because of overflowing spiritual energy. Resulting my progress to be faster than normal.

Six months is enough for me to get strong so that I can compete in the annual competition. The allotted 5-months for us to get strong for the top ten in school is enough for me. I might even reach rank 1 in our school. But better to lay low for a while.

I want to gather real friends to back me up when I need help. But I do not know how to approach people. My disciple is kinda my friend but I really did not approach him. He is the one who approached me and begged me to be my disciple.

I can try to ask Wei Yi some pointers on how to get friends but she is a daughter of the police chief, people normally leave her alone. Lu Xin Chen might help me, she is the one who approached me first. I think she can give me some pointers.

I called Yu Chen and invited her to the forest/mountain where I built the array. I saw her in the campus training grounds.

"Lu Chen. Sorry for disturbing you in your practice but I really need your help about something. I will reciprocate you by helping you to cultivate faster."

"Mei Kao? Sure what do you need?"

"It is embarrassing talking here. Can you follow me? I also want to show you something."

"Okay. Let's go."

We walked towards the mountain. Lu Chen began to look blush.

"Where are we going Mei Kao? Are you showing me a herb in the mountains?"

"No. No. I will show you the best place to cultivate."

"In the mountain? Sure that it is better to cultivate in the mountains but the difference of it than in the campus is quite a little."

"Trust me with this. You will be surprised when you see it."

We arrived at the location and the look on Lu Chen's face shows how she was surprised.

"Woah. The spiritual energy here is so dense. Why is it though?"

"I built a spirit gathering array. It covers the whole mountain. It gathers all of it in this area. We can cultivate here to get stronger."

"Thank you for inviting me."

"No. It is not a big deal. I also need something from you. Doing this is nothing."

"You want something? Is it what I think it is?"

"What do you mean?"

I noticed that her face was red and she was really blushing. I then realised what she meant.

"No. No. No. That is not what I meant. I only need your wisdom about something."

"Oh. Okay. I thought you were a pervert. Sorry for misinterpreting it."

(Why do I feel sad? Am I expecting it from him? My gosh, what is happening with me?)

"It is fine. I did say it weirdly."

"So? What do you need my wisdom for?"

"Here it is. I really want to have a lot of friends. Since you know how to approach me and befriend me. Do you have a suggestion for me on how to approach people so that I can befriend them?"

"Oh. That is so simple. When I was not affected by my disease, I made a lot of friends because of my strength. They idolizes me and that lead them to befriend me."

"What happened next?"

"When I got the disease, a lot of my friends were gone. They do not even talk with me. But there are still some who talk with me and hangs out with me. They are what I called real friends."

"Oh. So you mean?"

"What I mean is that you need to impress them first if you want them to approach you. Just be friendly with them, do not use your skills to gloat. They do not want an arrogant friend. Just talk with them. And later you will not notice, you will vecome their friend."

"Thank you so much. That is a wonderful advice."

"You are welcome. By the way, do you start cultivating here?"

"Yes. Why?"

"Well, I do not see any house or a protection against sun or rain. Let us build one."

"Oh. I forgot about it. I thought I can tolerate those. But for a girl like you, you need to take care of your body. Let us build one."

We started to go down to the market to get tools needed to build a small house. We went back to the mountain to build a house. We finished making it in 5 days.

"Oh right. We finished it. Now we can focus cultivating even at night. We do not need to go home. We can stay here at night and cultivate more."

"Yes we can." (**Talking to herself** Hmm. Wait. He and I will be alone here at night for 5 months? Why am I blushing? Stupid girl, are you expecting something?)

We started cultivating and practicing martial art skills for months so that we will be ready when the time comes.
