Becoming a Researcher

Linda and Alden left the East Academy and headed towards the central tower.

Linda had taken Alden's potion and had stored it in her space ring.

In about twenty minutes, they arrived at the central tower floor.

Linda led the way inside the tower.

The ground floor was empty, with no furniture around. There were only elevators around.

Under Linda's lead, she and Alden entered an elevator. She took out what looked like a rectangular black object. She touched it to the display screen of the elevator, and the floors she had access to appeared.

She chose the fifth floor, and they were on their way up.

Ding!

The elevator arrived on the fifth floor in no time.

The door opened, and they stepped out.

The moment Alden stepped out, his eyes widened.

The fifth floor was bustling with people.

There were several desks close to the walls. A strong glass meant to protect the personnel behind the desks went up from the desks.
