CHAPTER 18

The violent sun rays seeped in through the open windows, waking Leah up from her peaceful sleep. She turned so she was facing the other side, and she winced as soon as she felt the soreness between her thighs. "Fucking liar. you said that you'll be gentle." She said. she sat up on the bed and she stretched her arms. Alexander was not in the room so she realised that he might have woken up early because he had work to do.

she got off the bed and she went into Alexander's bathroom and she took a shower. after taking a shower she wrapped a towel around her body and walked out of Alexander's bedroom into her room. She looked through her clothes to try and find something to wear. She took out some shorts and an oversized T-shirt. She put them on and walked out of her room, down the hallway, down the stairs, and into the dining room where she found Alexander already seated and having breakfast. She couldn't help but blush as soon as the memories of last night came flooding back into her head like a movie trailer.

She took a deep breath and pulled a chair next to him, just as she was about to sit down Alexander pushed the seat back under the table. "Did you forget where your seat is?" He asked. Leah was a bit taken aback by his actions. He sounded like the old Alexander, cold and mean.

"What? I thought that..." She stopped talking as soon as she noticed the look that he was giving her. She walked around the table and sat down on her usual seat. the main brought her her food and she started eating. It was like the first day that she was here, the only sounds that you could hear were the sound of forks and knives clicking against the plates. She thought that after what had occurred last night he would treat her differently because he was different last night. He talked and treated her so well, but now he was back to bring the old Alexander again, she tried to convince herself that it was just all in her head, she should just ask him.

"Alex-" He cut her off before she could finish.

"Don't fucking call me that, got it?" His tone was filled with nothing but coldness and anger.

"Fuck YOU! What is your problem? after what happened last night, you are just going to treat me like shit, as if you didn't fucking bury your ugly face between my legs and fuck me with your tongue and tell me how good I taste. Alexander, you fucked me last night, you admitted that I made you feel good, now what's the problem. Did you hit your head and you forgot everything?" She asked. Alexander slammed his hands on the table and he stood up.

"Listen to me carefully. Whatever happened last night was a mistake, a huge mistake that I regret with all my being. I fucking hate you, I have said it before and I'll keep saying it as long as you can't get it in through your thick skull. Forget about last night, because I have already forgotten about it." He said and he stormed out of the dining room, leaving Leah alone. Leah was on the verge of crying. She couldn't believe that he had said those words to her.

she had lost something that she valued a lot to him, just for him to wake up the next morning and call it a mistake. She stood up from her seat and she locked herself up in her room and she started crying. Alexander has only been hurting her ever since they got married, but she has never felt this hurt before. She tolerated every single insult that he threw her way, but this one pierced through her heart like a sharp dagger.

She buried her face in her pillow so that no one would hear her cries. She refused to be weak, she refused to let him do that to her. She wanted to fight back so badly, but who was she to even stand face to face with him? She was a nobody, the only way was to leave, but how and where was she going to go? Her family wouldn't take her in, and she had nothing. She was nothing without him, she just had to be an obedient puppy and do whatever the hell he wanted. She had no say in anything, maybe she just had to give him more time and he was going to treat her better, just maybe.

She ended up crying herself to sleep and she was woken up a few hours later by a light knock on her door. She got up from the bed and she walked to her door. She opened the door to find Alexander standing there, with his hands in his pockets. "Yes?" She said.

He took out a packet of pills from his pocket. Leah looked at him, she was confused because she doesn't remember telling anyone that she was sick. "Take these." He said.

"What are they for?" She asked.

"To prevent pregnancy. I don't know if you are on birth control or not, but all I know is that I don't want a child with you." He said. Her heart sank, and she gave up all hope of him changing. It looked like he wasn't planning on changing at all.

"I don't need them." With that, she slammed the door on his face and she locked it. She could hear him screaming and cursing her in every way possible. She just sat down on the floor and she covered her ears. Tears fell from her eyes uncontrollably. She now realized that marrying him was only going to end in tears for her, not happiness.
