Yup, as you can see from the title, this idea of mine is a ripoff from both Harvest Moon and Rune Factory.
The story will take place in modern day setting with some supranatural stuffs hidden from the mundane surface of everyone's life.
The protagonist is an abandoned son from a filthy rich family.
His father have an affair with another woman and divorced his wife as he is not competent enough to keep and manage more than one wife on his household, a pathetic excuse for every gentleman in the world.
The new wife have sired his father another son the same age as the protagonist and a little sister 3 years younger than him.
The protagonist's mother, enraged from the divorce letter send by the husband she have been living with for almost two decades, unlocked her yandere side and goes on a killing spree and killed both his husband's and the new wife's entire family before he killed herself after that, leaving the protagonist as a sole member of the family left alive with all their inheritance.
The protagonist, still young at the tender age of 18 are fallen victim to the schemes of the other families who have long been eyeing his family's assets.
His fiancee and close friends have betrayed him and sold out most of his family assets.
When he realises what's happening, all he have left are just a deed to a hectare of land plus a mansion that they used to lived on their summer vacation in a village faraway from the city, almost close to what can be said to be a no man's land.
With the flame of revenge burning inside his heart, he visited his fiancee's house, killed everyone inside and burn everything down to ashes, before he left the city to live in his summer holiday mansion far away from the hustle and bustle of the city life.
Police? They do have him as suspect at first but because he do everything cleanly, they don't have any evidence to get him in the jail.
Besides, who would want to go to a so far away place to arrest him anyway?
Since no one reported on him, the corrupt police in the city also clearly don't want to do such a thankless job of going to the border of a no man's land just to arrest a criminal suspect and they just chalked it all up to a "normal fire caused by some accidents".
The fact that one of the higher ups in the City Police Office is his his mother's close sister (and thus, her aunt) also helped him very much.
Easy job for them, even easier life to the protagonist.
Soon after the protagonist arrived at his land and the mansion, he began to work as a farmer.
Strangely though, the first time his hoe hit the land, it is as if there is something that is clicked on his head.
And no, it's not a system.
Please, that trope is already too damn overused by now.
What is clicking on his head is a certain understanding.
A knowledge that suddenly appeared on his head, about how to till the land, watering the plant, taking off the pests, weeding out the grasses and many other things needed to be known by a farmer.
But aside from that, there is something else that seems to be awakening upon him.
...
Ever since that day, everything that he planted on the soil can grow and bear harvest in just a single day.
Planting normal crops from grains, fruits to vegetables? Easy peasy.
Short on money? Or need a quick cash?
Just plant some coins or bill notes and they will grow to be a tree that have paper bill as its leaves and coins as its fruits.
Out of curiosity, he tried planting an egg and the plant that grows after that are a bush which is shaped like a chicken and it can bear eggs as its fruits.
He then planted a jar of cow's milk and the plant that grow looked like a cow made from shrubbery and it bears a jar of milk as its fruit everyday.
On another day, he planted a sword and the plant that grows looks like a tree stump with a verdant sword growing.... Errrr.... More like it is stabbed straight on the stump.
Okay, that is clearly an enchanted, magical sword.
After he harvested the sword by taking it out from the tree stump, he found that the sword can cut through anything as easy as cutting a butter with a hot knife.
The sword just passed through everything without effort and the things it just passed over will be cleanly cut with laser like precision.
And what's more ridiculous is that the protagonist can actually eat that sword like a fruit without harming his mouth and stomach.
He get an ability to cut anything with his hands as long as he wills it, pretty much like his hand can be covered by something like a sword intent from the novels he have read in his spare time.
...
What? He felt lonely living alone in the mansion amidst the no man's land?
Just plant some anime action figures and they will grow into a plant that bear a fruit which contain a real life version of the figures he planted inside it when he split it open.
Curiously, unlike when planting crops or other material objects, the plants that grows from planting action figure needs 9 days and 10 hours before their fruit reach maturity and can be harvested.
He planted Barbara action figure and "harvested" her to help him watering the plants.
He planted a Dragonmaid and harvest her to help on housekeeping.
Feeling the need of some entertainments, he planted Robin and Ruan Mei action figure to grow an angelic singer and a musician to give some music to his quiet residence.
Hur hur hur..... With beautiful girls at home, plenty of food on the table, and magical skills and artifacts on his disposal, what else should he plant on his farm????
