Chapter 21: Nightmares

Screams were heard, blood sprayed as an arm flew through the air.

“Monkey get away from here!!”

“father!!!”

Red eyes stared at him; the darkness stretched as the presence inside it loomed over Monkey. The darkness engulfing.

“dad, uncle, help. I’m scared.”

A small ball rolled toward Monkey; his eyes grew wide with terror as the ball took form. He was suddenly staring at the head of his uncle, Faolan.

He screamed, but no sound came out. He screamed as the darkness consumed him.

Monkey awoke with a jolt, he quickly looked around, he was leaning against a tree. Most likely placed here to stay out of the rain. He saw that Volt and Artirios was asleep a few distance away.

The clouds blocked out the sun but he could see some light pouring through, it was starting to set, he must’ve slept through the whole day.

“you know you were crying in your sleep?”

He looked up; Vayu was laying on a branch above him.

She pointed at her face

“right here”
