Family Bonding 06

Realizing his inappropriate reaction and despite her not saying anything, thinking about the things that happened the past few days, her actions and the incident of her chasing him, he could roughly deduct why she was here. He reined his raging emotions and tried to calm himself.

After making sure he was calm enough, he beckoned to her and said.

"Come here…"

Not knowing what he was trying to do but hearing the tone of his voice as if threating her to choose otherwise, Claire slowly made her way towards him.

She stood up beside him, she was unsure what to do next. Uoron on the other hand, then pulled her to sit down beside him. She sat down rather distractedly staring blankly at him.

He opened his bag and took out a first aid kit then took hold of her hand. Knowing what he was about to do, she wanted to reclaim her hand so she pulled it back but he tightened his hold onto it then glared at her, frightening her to stay in place.

Both remained silent throughout this ordeal, Uoron gently disinfected her scratches and wounds frowning then sighing in one moment amusing Claire a bit.

After a few minutes of this, Uoron was done. He kept the usable kits and placed the dirty ones in a paper bag to be properly disposed off later.

Claire repeatedly opened her mouth then closed it not knowing what to say. Uoron who was done cleaning, once more face the river thinking to himself.

While applying the medicine onto Claire's wounds, he was also figuring out how to convey the words he needed to say.

Claire on the other hand finally decided to once more do a do or die [1] scenario. She breaths in deeply and said,

"I'll go back… alone… after resting a few more minutes…"

Uoron stiffen a bit but recomposed himself once more and nodded not looking at her still.

Claire exhaled in relief and she too stared at the river. Splashes from the fishes could be seen. The gushing of the water could be heard that seems to lull them. A lukewarm breeze blew by. Both did not say anything anymore contented with the silence and peace around them.

Uoron was also thinking the same thing, for her to go back as it was not safe for her to stay here. Both knew that he wouldn't bring her along with him nor would he ever go back with her even if she tried to persuade him.

"I really should not be too impulsive next time." She thought as she signed in defeat.

She knew that even if she tries to convince him to return, he wouldn't do it except through force which she rather not do. However seeing him jumping then disappearing not knowing what happened or would happen to him made her act even before her brain could process her thoughts.

Her indecisiveness previously was centered onto whether she should chase after him or not. She failed to consider the important point of Uoron's decision for running away as well as the point of her safety.

She sighed once more. Uoron who noticed her sighing a lot decided to ignore this.

Uoron knew base on her several sighs that she realized her mistake so decided not to reprimand her anymore for her rash actions. Though she was doing it because of him which warmed his heart a little but the fact still remained that what she did was dangerous so he did not give any word of comfort as well.
