Ch 35: A Tough Fight

Varis darted forward, throwing a series of knives at the Wendrak's flank, aiming for its weak points, while Aria stood behind the group, already chanting a healing spell to prepare for the inevitable injuries.

Dren charged forward with a battle cry, his sword gleaming in the faint light of Elysia's spell. As he closed in on the Wendrak, two more tanks from the team, Jarek and Korrin, surged forward alongside him, their shields raised and ready.

The goal was clear: they needed to absorb as much of the Wendrak's fury as possible, giving Dren and the others a fighting chance.

Jarek, a broad-shouldered man clad in heavy armor, shouted as he bashed his shield against the Wendrak's claws, deflecting a powerful swipe that could have easily shredded Dren.
