chapter 63
N/A: I just wrote this on September 30th and the reason why I'm writing this after I didn't upload chapters for so long is that I got a new job and I got overloaded after having to work and study at the university so when I was writing the stories I was falling asleep at my desk.
Chapter 63:
"Hey what's wrong with you! " Owen had finally reacted as he looked at hiro holding Claire like a sack of potatoes on his shoulder.
"I'm taking my property...do you have a problem with me? "hiro said as he looked at Owen with a serious look on his face.
"I'm sorry..." apologized Owen involuntarily as he looked down at the aura that hiro was emanating.
Most times when a domestic animal encounters a wild animal, they put their heads down and surrender towards the animal in a submissive manner and that is what was happening with Owen, the feeling of inferiority began to fill his whole being.
Retracting his gaze to the front, hiro dashed off down the halls leaving Owen in the middle of the hallway, not the slightest concern for the safety of the person he was leaving behind.
"You are a very ruthless person... "Claire's weak voice let itself be heard when she had the confidence to speak.
Hiro "He's nobody important to me...so it won't disturb my heart at all if something happens to that Owen guy."
Claire "But he's my childhood friend..."
Hiro "So... what do you want me to do?"
Claire "Could you bring him to come with us?"
Hiro *laughs*
Hiro "I think you haven't realized where we're going...we're going after one of the indominus rex...I want to stay on this island for a few months...so I'm not going to stay on an island where there is a dangerous and intelligent dinosaur which will come after me at all costs once it runs out of opponents."
Claire "Can you tell me again ...what are we going to do?"
"Let's go after the indominus rex with those raptors to see if we have any luck in finishing it off "said hiro as he looked at Claire's terrified look.
"The truth is I...I have to go see if my nephews are okay...so I think I'll be going "Claire spoke nervously as she lowered herself off of hiro's shoulder.
Hiro "Sure I'll come down...although I think that if I leave you here in the middle of all this vegetation, some dinosaur might come and end up devouring your body."
Claire "you know what...I think we better go get that indominus...I can't leave you alone to face that creature."
"You know what...I think I'll go alone since you'll be a burden...so go back alone while I'm gone" hiro said as he jumped up and disappeared into the darkness.
With that Hiro disappeared into the vegetation while Claire was left alone in the middle of it all, Claire was completely out of her mind, being abandoned in the middle of nowhere where she found nothing but trees with no trace of human life in approximately several blocks of land.
Claire Hiro this isn't funny anymore!"
Claire's screams echoed throughout the place she was in as panic filled her being every second.
She was alone in the middle of the vegetation and, worse, in the middle of the darkness.
"Hiro this isn't funny anymore! " Claire shouted again as tears began to fall from her eyes and slide down her cheeks.
"Well...I hope you stop making so much trouble for me in the future" Hiro said as he appeared behind Claire.
Hiro wanted revenge on Claire and wanted to stay hidden longer, but he felt like a bully as he watched the tears begin to slide down Claire's cheeks.
"You're a bully! " shouted Claire as she started punching hiro's chest, who could only laugh as he felt how Claire wanted to hurt him.
"You're such a bully! " Claire said again as she pulled back because she had realized that she was being hugged by Claire as a couple.
Hiro "Well...well...I'm a bully...I'm not going to do it again."
Claire "KYAAA!"
Claire shouted again while hiro charged her like a princess as she ran away jumping from branch to branch, Claire without any other option wrapped her arms around hiro's neck who kept running without paying much attention to her.
"Hey watch your hands!" said Claire angrily, her face red with embarrassment as she felt hiro's hand on her buttocks.
"Stop moving...you're slipping out of my hands. "Refuted Hiro as he pinched Claire's leg.
Claire "Kyaa!"
Claire "Bully...you like messing with me...I'm not talking to you anymore."
Hiro "We're here"
Claire "I said I'm not going to talk to you again"
hiro "But you already talked to me, didn't you?"
Claire"..."
* I scream *
The shout of several people caught hiro and Claire's attention and hiro grabbed Claire tighter as she ran to higher ground.
"Help me!"shouted one of what appeared to be the soldiers who had come to finish off the dinosaur.
"I would recommend you not to see what is happening in front of us" spoke hiro as he covered Claire's face, who wanted to see what was going on.
Claire's hands began to tremble the more she heard the screams of the soldiers who were being eaten by the raptors who had been brought in as weapons that would finish off the indominus rex.
"How funny...they wanted to use the dinosaurs as weapons, but they ended up being eaten by the same weapons they couldn't control...the world is run by those who can and those who want and they are just the people who want and don't have what it takes" said hiro as he mocked the massacre that was happening in front of his eyes.
Claire "aren't you going to save them?"
Claire's words caught hiro's attention, as he turned to look at the girl who was hiding in hiro's chest to avoid seeing what was happening in front of her, although he already had an idea of what was going on when he heard the screams of the people and the shots that the soldiers were firing.
"I am not going to save them...I will tell you this very well...I am not a hero and I am not a villain either...I consider myself something in between the two, I will help when I don't have to risk anything and I will not save or help anyone if I have to save someone knowing that I may lose someone important to me I don't like to see death, I am a selfish person and the people close to me are the most important thing to me.
Claire "But..."
Hiro "Claire...I'm going to tell you this, being a person who always wants to save all people really isn't as good as you think...you're going to risk other people to save some lame people?
Hiro "imagine me or someone close to you decides to help you and gets killed for you...you can live with the idea that you killed a person you know for saving people you don't even know what they look like...a total stranger.
"The hero mentality...brings misfortune to the lives of people who decide that path...because in the end they end up forgetting their family to save other people who they think they have a duty to save...after all the strong have no obligation to save the weak...a strong person was born weak but became strong and for that he followed a path that was not easy and becoming strong does not mean he must save the weak..."
Claire " I'm sorry...I wanted you to save that person even if you had to put yourself in danger...I'm so sorry."
