Chapter 10

We went to dinner and it was mostly just me and the twins talking at dinner with Luke and the other Cabin leaders joining Chiron and Dionysus so it was quick eat and greet, and I shrunk the flying Carpet when we got there was no awkward questions "Jake you need to sacrifice a choice piece of your meal to the god's or any god you want." Mia whispered to me.

Nodding I took my plate up like a few others were and threw in a slice of my pizza "To Hestia" I mumbled, Honestly Hestia is best girl she as far as I know doesn't get her jollies off by torturing us mortals.

After sitting back with the girls who were eating a chicken salad, I just laid waste to four large slices of pizza with several cups of soda and just leaned against a cooing Leah in a food coma. "Ugh I'm so full." I groaned contentedly with Leah having finished her food leaned back and let me rest my head on her lap so she could play with my blond hair.

"Your hair is so soft it's almost like you are a son of Aphrodite, it's so unfair we spend so much money and time styling our hair and I just saw you use a couple charms to clean yourself." Leah grumbled and her hair petting turned into her raking her fingers through it and across my scalp, she was almost giving my head a massage if she was a little more firm it would be one.

"Ok Leah no need to be jealous." Mia called from the other side of the table "Now seeing how tired he is and the fact he is our ride back lets get going back to the Cabin we got a busy day tomorrow. Me and Leah have to enchant stuff for the purge and there won't be Camp activities till it's over so you can just sleep in Jake."

I just nodded and got my head off of Leah's very soft lap and I staggered out of the Cafeteria and once we were out a ways I unshrunk the carpet and we settled in for a quick flight back. Once we got back I quickly transfigured my clothes into more comfortable pajama's and went to bed. 'This was a pretty good day, I made some friends and even became a teacher I just hope no one I know dies during the purge.' I thought falling asleep after relaxing.

I now know why Percy said dreams are a pain in the ass, I became conscious in a word in the middle of what looked like to be a old tunnel with torches on the wall. I took in my surroundings and I saw a half closed door and I could hear distorted voices coming from within so I quickly walked over while trying to be silent.

"The Greek dog's are going to be doing the purge early so we need to move the sensitive knowledge and treasure to a different location." Stated a man whose lower body was the body of a snake so he was probably a Naga and he was armed with a spear.

A loud grow came from a male Giant if it's size and one eye in the middle of it's face indicated it's race "The Norse monster clans aren't planning to resist this time are they useless undead so much for fearlessness in death haha." Although the giant was laughing I could tell it was full of rage.

A feminine sigh came from a beautiful Harpy woman "Although I would love to have a buffet of little demigods to pluck off the streets to eat, but I would hate far more to have to reform after Artemis hunts my tribe to extinction here in New York." She paused and the other two occupants who seemed to be spokesperson's for there race nodded.

There was a number of other people behind each of the spokesmen and each was a different race I'm guessing they attach themselves to a larger tribe especially as I could see some of them were from different Pantheons as I could recognize an especially large Tao-Tie from what Luke explained.

The giant pulled on his beard in agitation "So what we just flee in terror of them if we do that then the other tribes will take our place. We need the higher magic that congregates here in New York to keep our strength and you know that." So that explains why they have to purge the monster's in NY if they are constantly rushing there to absorb the better magic it would be overrun if they didn't clean them out.

The Naga stood up "My clan will be pulling out of NY and going to Boston for a while, the Norse monster clans have become weak and there gods don't hunt them down like it's there favorite past time. He started to walk towards me and the other heads of the clans stayed quiet and seemingly in thought.

"That's enough Jake." Came a distorted voice around me and I felt a pulling sensation around my navel like I was riding a Port Key and I lost sight and was surrounded by a kaleidoscope of colors as I was pulled along till I was launched into a soft embrace. I could recognize the soft sandalwood scent of my new mother. "Welcome back." she whispered. I pulled back and looked around and saw we were in a huge hollowed out tree with the wall's streaked with glowing moss.

"Uh hey mom?" I said unsure of what to call her honestly and why she pulled me away.

She noticed my confusion and explained the latter solemnly "Even if you can sneak up on monster's in your dream walking if you are caught in a astral state and they kill you, the best case is you suffering a terrible migraine for several day's, but more likely is you suffering permanent mental damage or even brain death.

Whelp no wonder no one seemed all to jealous of Percy's dream walks if that was a consequence to him being found and he was lucky Kronos didn't want to simply smite him when he was caught.

"Well thanks for grabbing me I guess. So have there been any troubles with you adopting me?" I asked thinking on she basically got out on a loophole on Artemis's domain.

She laughed and the action shook the tree and the rustling leaves seemed to laugh alongside her "Yes I got in a bit of trouble but when I pointed out as a sworn virgin she wanted me to break my vows and the light it put her in and how that could be used on her hunters by Aphrodite or own of her own godly children she backed down quickly."

She frowned before rage took over her expression "Damn it, I wanted to explain more to you but things are happening at the camp you must awake. I will be there to help in a few minutes to help but be careful and do not be caught in the light of his eyes no matter what." She said wrathfully and she stood up while holding me and started to spin making me dizzy and literally threw me like I was a discuss.

"Fuck!" I screamed as I woke violently up to even more screaming and explosions reaching my ears and making the cabin shake not only that I could feel the wards at half strength from whatever was attacking them and I realized I wasn't even in my bedroom and was on a couch surrounded by Mia and Leah.

"About time you escaped your demigod dreams I thought you were stuck there." Mia said dryly. 'Ok woman I don't need your sass right now.' I thought

Jumping to my feet I threw on my shoes and transfigured my clothes to a t-shirt and jeans and grabbed the magic carpet. "What the hell is going on???" I yelled as a large roar came that shook the cabin and made my ears pop.

Leah look solemn "The Celtic afterlife broke through again and this time one of there god's came through it's bad out there." she mumbled

At that I ran up and into the main lightning control tower and seeing the mass of monster's carrying torches and them having blue flames surrounding the cabin, I looked past them and into the Camp to be caught off guard and forgot how to breath... It was a literal god, it was several hundred meters tall and had a human form with one terrible glowing eye that shot blasts of pure necrotic energy that I could feel from all the way over here.

It was firing massive beams of sickly green light into the camp and swatting it's hands at a silver blur that was shooting smaller beams of light at the giant's weak spot's particularly it's eye. I'm guessing that's Artemis in action. He roared with rage at not getting his target and lifted his arms and lifted his arms above his head and smashed them into the ground causing a hard earthquake that shook us and causing more screams. But was answered with a massive explosion of flames that engulfed it's entire body.

"Don't look at Balor if he realizes you are looking into his eye you will be frozen in time and seeing as Kronos wont fix it you will likely stuck forever. Mia hissed after grabbing my head and shoving it to look down. I guess that was Hestia that took exception to Balor

"Ok thank you Mia" I said thankfully. I looked around the cabin from the tower and saw the creatures were humanoid shaped but the limbs were longer than they should with there arms ending at the knees at rest and were a solid three meters tall. "So what are those freaks." I said as I couldn't see the monster's face's due to the cloaks they were all wearing.

Leah answered confidently "Those are Abhartach, they are the precursor's to vampires but are far weaker than them, also there only magical talent allows them to hide in shadows and are only stronger than the average human so we can easily take care of them.

Nodding at the knowledge that the monster's didn't seem to be magically resistant I threw my consciousness in the ward controlling the lightning rune matrix and got a top down perspective of what was happening around the ward line. A problem came to be there was ghostly apparition's they looked like floating skeletons surrounded by gas with there eye's glowing a light blue. But they seemed to want to keep there distance and maybe try to surprise us.

I pulled my conscious out and turned to Leah who seemed to know the creatures around us and told her of the extra creatures around us. She frowned "Those are Bánánach if they pass through a person they steal there souls to later devour them, they would be deadly if we didn't have magic or enchanted weapons but some of the campers may be there victims we need to kill them now to release there soul's." She and Mia pressed there hands into my back and I could feel there divine and mortal magic being pushed into me without reserve.

Mia and and Leah said in unison "Kill the Bánánach we can deal with vampires later" I nodded and took control and used all the magic they gifted without touching the wards stored lighting to cast a mist of quickly spread from the cabin and deep within the forest and after a few minutes of spreading it to the boundary of the camp and making sure I got all the Bánánach, lightning sparked several times randomly throughout my zone of attention before with a roar that shook the heavens several hundred waist thick bolts of lightning smashed down on all the monster's I could find in the forest and towards the cabin but sadly my mind couldn't stretch that far with the rudimentary wards.

"Ha so even Zeus is interfering with our bout very well we shall see how Lugh will respond later!" Balor roared in response to the lightning his voice was deep like the grinding of earth and made my very heart palpitate at the vibrations it caused.

"Can't even recognize divine lightning from the natural kind, no wonder you have fallen so far Balor." Artemis's tight voice carried over and I could literally hear the sneer dripping off her expression.

Seeing as Balor already made a decision on who was interfering I called out to mother "Mother I need to you to be my eyes to direct a spell I was the one who sent the lightening but I cannot see that far and accurately to hit Balor well."

It took a moment and I was overwhelmed with a primal rage that came from her that shook my mind and almost made want to crawl to a corner and hide. "Fine but don't think you will get out of destroying so many tree's with that show my 'boy'" she snarled with empathize on the boy part.

I swallowed as I ignored my coming punishment and looked through her eyes if it could be called that she teleported through trees stabbing monsters most of whom I couldn't even recognize what the hell they were. I saw her particularly paying attention to a number of silver dressed women who were engaging a beautiful woman dressed in a red leotard with a spear in each hand at a distance with bows that shot silver rays of light and occasionally engaging in ultra short distance with knives to push her back, and she would occasionally appear behind her and attempt to stab her but have to dodge runes drawn by her feet on the ground that shot elemental effects and kept the hunters from finishing the battle.

I gathered all the data I need and exited her alien mind and shuddered at I realized how much magic I've already used. "Mia, Leah, Mother helped me get Balor locked down I'm going to use the rest of the Lightning to strike him with all we have left don't look at him the light will blind you."

"Fine" They answered and I could tell they didn't want me to do something that may get it's attention but were willing to follow me into doing it. I locked onto the "Caleum Cadre" I roared. The spell very correctly meaning Heavens Fall gathered all lightning in the surrounding's even magical lightning stored in the area and gathered it into a massive glyph in the sky that spanned a hundred meter's in width.

The battle paused almost dead silent as even the gods stopped seeing the large glyph show up "Uh so that wasn't Zeus huh." Balor mumbled.

"Kirin" I whispered giving the lightning a solid shape which sent a several dozen meter long solid lightning Eastern Dragon crashing down onto Balor and had it start to strangle his thick neck while electrocuting it.

Balor roared in agony while laying on the ground rolling around before his cries choked off because Artemis shot arrows into his now undefended eye and Hestia launched a unending deluge of flames into his mouth and started inflating his stomach with flames that glowed through the victim's stomach and muscles.

He finally was able to get past the electrocution and rip the lightning dragon in pieces that exploded and shocked him even more and was able to stagger to the side and avoid getting more flames in his mouth and covered his face but while they were doing all that massive trees grew between his limbs and thick vines and branches started to entangle him finally he couldn't even move.

"Alright Balor is secured by mother it looks like, but Scathach is down there fighting the hunters we should go help them." The twins helplessly nodded and we started to fly towards the only sign of major combat left.
