Never before had Lianne met anyone that could make her speechless like this.

To be more accurate, to have her mind freeze.

She has had her share of handsome and pretty men in her life but this. This was at a whole new level. It was as if all that she had envisioned to be perfect in a guy, was recreated in this guy.

However, even though she was in a bit of a daze over this, there didn't seem to be any indication whatsoever on her face that reflected it.

In fact, it looked like she was not affected at all.

Which intrigued him even more.

He observed her intently, the interest in his heart increasing.

He had turned on the charm full-blast on her.

He had deliberately leaned close to her ear, letting his breath gently caress it. He knew that she would need to turn to talk to him and he did not move so that she would literally be inches away from his face.

He thought he was prepared.

He thought wrong.

She was so much more breathtaking than he had imagined.

Initially, when she had turned to face him, and he saw her face at close range for the first time, he felt like his heart stopped. No words could describe how perfectly flawless that face was and he had this insane desire to kiss her there and then, marking his territory.

His own feelings shocked him.

He had seen a lot of beautiful women in his life, and this lady in front of him was beautiful. No doubt about that. However, if one was to be brutally honest, this lady in front of him paled to some of the women that had flung themselves at him.

Yet, despite that ...

There was something about her that literally took his breath away.

None of the other women had ever affected him this way. This beautiful lady in front of him She had this fresh innocence that he was so pulled in by.

She was still so young though! How! Why?! He didn't peg himself as a pedophile! All he knew was that she was perfect.

She was the most beautiful Angel in the world.

It wasn't just her features, but her whole demeanor.

It called out to him.

He answered it.

He didn't care anymore whether this was right or wrong. He just knew what he felt and it wasn't lust.

He was in love.

But he had to hold himself back. He had the feeling that if he was too strong in his approach, all of his future steps would be crushed forever.

While all of that was going on in the Heavenly Creature's mind, Lianne was not doing too good either.

Having his face so close to hers, she could even feel his breath on her face as he breathed. Their lips were so close that they were almost touching.

They were that close.

Never before had she ever been this close to a man before, let alone a Heavenly Creature like him.

They seemed to lock eyes.

Him, showing appreciation and something that she couldn't quite figure out.

Her eyes, though, were showing annoyance (despite the flutterings of butterflies in her stomach) over his audacity and flirtatious nature.

Seeing this, Lianne pegged him as a player.

Obviously, he knew his features were a Death-Trap, and yet, he used it to entice her. To persuade her to do his bidding.

What did he say earlier?

Help him by pretending to be his girlfriend?

Despite the havoc that this Heavenly Creature was causing her, her body still managed to instinctively set up their defences. Any sort of emotions that could be spilling out was securely locked, so no one would have realised how much of an impact the Heavenly Creature had made on her.

Instead, she looked indifferent. Appearing calm, she smiled and it instantly transformed her delicately beautiful face into one that shone so bright, it was dazzling.

It was now the Heavenly Creature's turn to get his world turned upside-down. Yet again.

He felt like that smile smashed him right in the heart.

How could she make such a beautiful smile yet look so uninterested?

Any woman that saw him would always willingly do anything he asked, yet this girl was not affected at all. In fact, she even looked annoyed at being disturbed?

How could this be?

Were his charms waning?

Wait. Perhaps she swung the other way?

The thought filled him with absolute horror but that was the only thing he could think of.

It wasn't because he was so egotistical, but rather, he had never met a girl who didn't fall at his feet - in one way or another. Some, literally, as they stripped and crawled to him, trying to seduce him.

He would kick them away, of course, but that's not the point here. He grew up with constant appreciative stares, girls gushing over him, mothers who kept wanting to matchmake him with their daughters, and so forth.

So he had taken that to be the norm. The typical reaction that he got, without fail.

Yet now, he was the only one that felt some sort of attraction for this woman?

After all the years of him rejecting women, the one woman that he was remotely interested in, wasn't interested at all in him?

How unfair.

The Heavens were surely joking with him right now.

He felt as if everything about her, shot at him straight to the heart.

Cupid was ruthless indeed.

The first arrow hit him when he saw her lone figure. That had been a mild one.

The second was when he saw her face. That had hit him rather hard.

The third was when she smiled. That ... was quite lethal and he was struck dumb.

Just as he was lost in thought, he saw her tilting her head to the side, looking behind him. The action of her eyes was so minute, one would have missed it if one wasn't observing the person so meticulously. To others, it seemed as if she was looking at him but he knew better.

"You mean, that Amazon woman that's stomping over here like some elephant?" she asked, her sweet melodious voice causing yet another arrow to hit him yet again.

Damn this girl. How many arrows did she have?!

Her voice sent shivers of pleasure down his spine and straight to his heart. He would die happy to hear her voice, whispering sweet nothings in his ear.

His heart can't take this!

He laughed at her apt description, though.

So laugh he did, in order to dispel the spell she put him under.

"Yes, that Amazon woman in red," he answered.

Lianne nodded, seeing the rather voluptuous woman in a glaringly red mini dress stomping over to where they were. Her carefully made-up face scrunched up on anger as she glared them, her boobs which were hardly contained in that dress shaking at each stomp.

Lianne wondered idly when those huge jugs would spill out of that obviously-too-small dress. She could even see the nips of her nipples protruding, causing people to stare at her - as if her action at the moment didn't seem to call out for such attention as well.

Interesting.

This Heavenly Creature attracted such women?

"And why should I help you?" Lianne asked with a slow smile, looking back at him, "Not interested."

Lianne turned away, taking out her eraser to wipe out the offending line on her sketch, tuning him out again.

At least, she was trying to.

Instead of being angry or going away however, he grabbed her hand and brought it up to his lips, kissing the back of her fingers.

"Just this once. I, Kai Sheng, will owe you one," he said, looking at her in the eyes.

Kai Sheng?

Lianne's eyes widened in surprise, and she quickly masked it. She knew very well who Kai Sheng was.

Kai Sheng, one of the youngest CEO at Country Tz, second only to Kyle Smith. He had taken over after his father had died and turned the dying company into what it was right now. His power might not be at the top but it certainly was impressive and his skills were legendary.

He was good, but hardly in the same league as Kyle, of course.

Kyle was the legendary Smith Heir, who had taken the mantle as the CEO at the young age of 18. Even before then, he already had an impressive resume: the genius during school time, local hero, youngest bouldering champion, international movie star ... the list goes on.

When Kyle took over the company, it had been with a bang.

He had successfully thwarted and attempt to take over the CEO position and push him out of the running as its Heir. As such, the CEO then (his father), stepped down and Kyle took over. There had been no objections and Kyle's legend was created from that momentous incident.

And he continued to take the world by storm.

As such, when Kai Sheng appeared, he was often compared to Kyle.

Turns out that Kai Sheng was not perturbed by it and even stated unashamedly that he was flattered. He stated that Kyle was his idol and one that he strived to reach.

It was for that reason that Lianne even paid any attention to the name, but she had never been interested enough to actually pay more attention to that. She knew of all the successful people in the industry, and he was but another name on the list.

Even though it was said he was a breathtaking creature.

All that Lianne was interested in, was to be kept abreast of the situation in Country Tz and the powerful people within it but she never stepped into that world.

She hated it.

However, she needed to know about it. Even if she did not want to be involved in that world, it did not mean that she was ignorant of it.

Knowledge, after all, was power.

And she, Lianne, had hidden ties with Kyle Smith that the outside world did not know of and resources at her fingertips that one would drool over. And she used them.

In short, she may look like an ordinary person but in reality, she had many hidden powers behind her.

Thus, right now, what Kai Sheng was offering for her help made her laugh internally.

Help him and Kai Sheng would owe her a favour?

What value is that to her?

To someone else, such a favour would be sought after crazily but her?

She wasn't lacking in anything. Why should she help a total stranger to deal with something that had nothing to do with her at all for benefits that she could obtain herself?

Kai Sheng could see that she recognised his name and was inwardly happy at that. Now she would know that he was not just anybody, but one of the top sought-after man in Country Tz.

But wait.

Something was wrong. She didn't appear impressed at all.

In fact, she looked quite ... bored?

She wasn't putting on an act. She truly, really, was not interested at all.

What is this sorcery?

Even his name couldn't get her interest up?

So he waited for her reply patiently, wanting to know what was on her mind.

What's her deal?
