Exploring the huts further, Evan discovered some clothing.
Up until then, he had been half-naked, wearing only his trousers with his belly area wrapped in a makeshift white bandage. The newfound clothes offered a welcome addition to his attire.
The T-shirt he picked up was a tad snug, seemingly intended for kids, but it stood out as the best condition among all the clothes he could find. Despite its slightly tight fit, it became a welcome addition to his wardrobe.
"Should I head out now? I don't think there's anything left for me here."
He had thoroughly searched all the huts, gathering everything that could prove helpful in the future.
With a secure water supply, there was no need to waste time searching for a water source. Even if he found one, storing water source was impractical.
Time to move on.
Evan embarked on his journey toward Manaus city!
Exiting the village, he found himself surrounded by the dense jungle. As he ventured deeper, the landscape transformed into an expanse of trees, obscuring his view of the sky. The soy, normally a familiar sight, was now a vague presence in the dense foliage.
The ground beneath his feet wasn't firm but not muddy either, and small bugs scattered around added an eerie touch. For someone accustomed to city life, this dense and unfamiliar environment felt a bit unsettling.
Half an hour had passed since Evan began his trek.
He opted not to run; preserving his stamina was crucial. Running might deplete it quickly, leaving him vulnerable to potential monster attacks. Maintaining a steady pace ensured he could navigate the jungle safely.
He ensured to stay close to the river, although not too close, as the land near the riverbank was somewhat muddy.
Until now, Evan killed three more Razorlops. The thick jungle hindered the use of his sword, so currently, he wielded a shield in his left hand and a spear in his right.
Having faced numerous Razorlops, Evan now gained an understanding of their attack patterns.
These creatures were relatively straightforward; upon spotting their prey, they would charge directly and initiate their attack with a slashing motion of their claws.
After walking a bit farther, Evan suddenly spotted something.
Up ahead, he could barely discern a faint red light. This sight heightened Evan's alertness significantly.
In a town, he might have overlooked such a light, but here, in the heart of the Amazon Rainforest, every anomaly demanded attention.
Evan cautiously advanced towards the light, vaguely anticipating its source. He recalled the golden prompt displaying levels of wormholes, and the red-colored one had been graded as an F grade.
As he approached cautiously, Evan abruptly came to a halt, taking cover behind a tree.
Up ahead, he witnessed a peculiar sight – a circular cloudy structure floating just one foot above the ground. This structure emitted a red fog, shrouding the entire formation in an eerie atmosphere.
While the scene itself already exuded an unsettling vibe, what truly captured Evan's attention was something more ominous.
Right in front of the wormhole, Evan spotted a Razorlop of considerable size, akin to that of a lion. It retained its distinctive rabbit face, large ears, and white fur, but what struck him were its two downward-pointing canines, even with its mouth closed. Obviously it looked more sturdier that others.
Yet, that wasn't all. Four other Razorlops, of regular size, sat around it, their normal proportions not diminishing their potential danger.
Near the group of Razorlops who seemed to be sleeping, there lay a fallen tree, its top side seemingly touching the ground.
'I really don't want to fight them.'
'I can handle the small ones, but that big guy is the problem.'
Suddenly, Evan's attention shifted to the fallen tree, and an idea popped up in his mind.
'But if that guy survived that, it would be a big headache.'
'Fuck it! I'll give it a try anyway. If I can't survive this, then how am I going to face stronger monsters in the future?'
' I'm not settling for just being a side character while the world undergoes such drastic changes.'
With his decision made, he cautiously walked toward the root of the fallen tree, ensuring not to draw the monsters' attention.
Upon reaching the root, he slowly climbed onto the fallen part of the tree. It was substantial enough to walk on, and its age was evident from the lack of branches.
"Let's see who survives in this challenging world."
He began walking slowly, gradually increasing his pace over time.
When he reached halfway across the tree, Evan tightened his grip on the spear and decided to unequip the shield.
By the time he covered 75% of the tree, the Razorlop appeared to sense his movement. The large creature turned its head, curious about the disturbance.
Seizing the moment, Evan exerted force in his legs, propelling himself into a powerful jump. In mid-air, he positioned his left hand forward and his right hand backward, spearhead pointed directly at the big Razorlop.
Simultaneously, the colossal creature sensed the imminent danger it faced. Despite recognizing the threat, there was too little time to react.
With all his strength concentrated in his right hand, Evan hurled the spear towards the Razorlop's head while still suspended in the air.
*Screeeaaachh!*
A painful cry reverberated through the area.
Simultaneously, Evan landed a little ahead of the big Razorlop, lacking the time to turn and see where his spear had struck.
Swiftly, he equipped his sword and executed a horizontal slash toward another Razorlop that had sensed him and was standing up.
The blade effortlessly severed its neck, detaching the head from its body.

Without delay, Evan turned around to face a Razorlop that had reached him and was lunging with its claw.
Effectively blocking the attack, Evan pushed forward, slamming his shield and sending the Razorlop staggering backward.
Simultaneously, another Razorlop closed in, swiftly moving its claw.
However, Evan, still in the motion of slamming, quickly shifted his sword to intercept the attack. Due to the lack of momentum, he had to take a few steps back.
However, Evan had just managed to stabilize himself when the third Razorlop closed in.
Evan Gritted his teeth, These bastards weren't allowing him even a moment to catch his breath.
"Fuck you."
Tightening his grip, he slashed his sword diagonally downward while simultaneously defending against its claws.
Evan's sword sliced through the right shoulder of the Razorlop, traveling all the way to the left side of its abdomen before coming to a halt.
Swiftly, he kicked the creature and retracted his sword.
The Razorlops wasted no time; as soon as Evan pulled back his sword, the two from before attacked him together.
Evan skillfully employed his shield to block one attack and deftly parried the other with his sword.
The combined strength of the Razorlops pushed Evan back.

"Perfect timing."

A hollow white light enveloped Evan as he felt his energy replenishing.
"Add 2 points in agility."
Evan suddenly perceived everything around him slowing down, akin to watching a video at 0.5x speed.
It appeared as though his mind, synchronized with the surge in agility, was operating at an accelerated pace.
Swiftly, he maneuvered to the side of one Razorlop. Although the creature recognized his movement, for Evan, its reaction appeared sluggish. In the blink of an eye, he stabbed his sword through its neck and promptly retracted it.
The other Razorlop had turned toward Evan by now, but Evan didn't grant it any additional time. He deftly positioned himself behind the creature and swiftly drove his sword through its head.
"It really feels good to be fast."
