Cosmic Cultivation

Year 2033 The time the game came out, the world was taken by storm. 'Realm of Immortals' changed things for everyone. It was a game where anyone can be anything, a villain, a prince in shining armor, or a blacksmith. It was the first full-dive game, a revolution to technology. But... the world of that game favours the strong, so all players are pumped up to play it with it's realistic feature; calling it a second world would not be far off. Silas, an extraordinary 19 year old man who works at a bank and buys the game to pass away time and have fun, finds himself as the weakest player inside the realistic cultivation MMO. He was mad, he was angry, he just wanted to have fun, even the NPCs in the game harass and make fun of him. What led to this... He couldn't use Qi... The energy which all cultivators use to grow stronger... He was about to quit the game, when a glitch happened, a dark force was able to infiltrate the system, and Silas found himself in a forbidden place which was hated by the heavens. There, he found his purpose, using an energy that was the opposite of Qi. He gave himself a mission, to change how things were in this so called heavens, and create a better world where everyone isn't always fighting for power. _____ TAGS:- Assasin, reincarnation, gods, cultivation, martial arts, smart MC, Weak to overpowered, villain, virtual reality, video games. ___ My other books; Vampire god in the apocalypse, Lord MMORPG: The demon progenitor. 34. Escape plan

Minova thanked Silas and he along with Juliet and Karvon walked out of the sanctuary.

"Death. It's so weird to call you that can I just call you Karvon?" Silas asked and Karvon nodded his head in approval.

"I hear that souls is the source of power for harbingers of hell-"

"I was even going to tell you that before you left. I'm supposed to be gathering souls for the cycle of reincarnation after death. It has been over four hundred thousand years and the number of souls that are running free are astronomical."

"I'll need to gather my three disciples and then do what's needed, so I won't be able to come back for a long time," Karvon said and Silas furrowed his brows.

'Yes, that'll give me a lot of time to train for my revenge. I'll punch you to the moon,' Silas thought and then he nodded.

That punch earlier at the crypts was... Evil.

"That's good, the more souls, the more the nether gets power." Silas concluded that and then he opened the gate of hell and Karvon exited it.

"Juliet, remember the two cultivators I took their cultivation away, when those people attacked us." Silas now had a serious expression on his face.

"I need information on both of them, especially their whereabouts," Silas said and Juliet nodded.

"There are a lot of preparations to be done before the harmony ascension challenge. We have 27 days left."

"I'll keep an eye here while you're gone. Should I still keep an eye on the king of Avalon?" Juliet asked and Silas nodded.

"Yes. Please do. We'll conquer Avalon first," Silas said and Juliet smiled, seeming excited at his words.

After settling things in hell Silas located his log out button and then he shot into the sky like a beam of light.

Realm of immortals wasn't any game, it happened in realtime meaning that it can't be paused and must continue happening. This is one of the reasons why some people stay in the game throughout their free time, it never ends.

Silas removed his gaming helmet as he woke up in his cell. He looked around to see the familiar walls and he noticed it was quite late in the night.

"Hm?" He got confused when he saw a plate of rice and sauce on the ground a few centimetres away from the bars.

'Someone probably sneaked it in.' Silas thought as he carried it and then took the note on it.

[The deputy says to do you well. Normally prisoners are given one meal per day, be careful not to get seen.]

Silas looked at the food and then he threw it out of the small window in his room and proceeded to fall asleep.

His life just got more dangerous but it was still better than being an assassin. Since his former enemies were coming for him he has to be careful.

...

The next morning Silas followed his usual routine of doing at least 50 push ups, sit ups, squats and other exercises he could do in his cell.

"Hm?"

He looked outside his cell to see a man in orange sweeping the floors and the man passed a tray to him.

"I don't know what you're going to do with that, but be careful not to be caught," The cleaner said and Silas only nodded before he went back on his bed.

In his hands was an electric drill that worked on batteries. He nodded to himself as he could finally put his plans into action.

'If it's asakira, not even this prison will be safe for me.' Silas thought and hid the drill under his singular pillow.

The asakira were a very dominant gang in Japan. At that time, Silas was sent to assassinate a popular politician.

At that time, even the person that sent him didn't know the man had affiliations with a gang. But then Silas did his digging and found out, and he killed the politician silently and left the country.

The asakiras has been onto him ever since. The organization he worked for has been trailing them off, but ever since his name was revealed on live television... There has not been peace.

'They might say the government cares, but they really don't. I could be taken to the place of the high class which has military protection, where the president stays...' Silas couldn't help but sigh once more.

The government only considered him as an asset which they could use in times of need. The president might even use him to threaten other countries, considering he has never failed in an assassination attempt.

He wasn't that important, they could afford to lose him. They didn't let him near those in power cause of black onyx enemies could target them.

Truly selfish.

'Hm... I'm still getting used to free will. I guess I'll just stay alive, or I could just go after the gangs and eliminate them myself.' In that moment, for a little while, Silas made a face so cold, that if anyone would see him right now... They'll fall to their knees in fear.

"This was all plans, I better be ready. I could also use the opportunity to set an example for other people coming after me."

...

After that day Silas healed as usual. He decided not to go into the game for now so that he wouldn't be exposed and vulnerable when the time comes and the Asakiras found him.

It's been three days since he made his plans.

It was currently night.

Outside of the prison, currently there were guards patrolling the fences with torches. One of them in blue uniforms looked at the electrified fence and saw that there was a torn part in the metal net, a big enough cut for a person to pass through.

"What the hell?" He muttered as he pulled out a whistle.

An arm suddenly wrapped around his neck before he could even blow the whistle and his reaction was slow as he was hit at the back of his neck a second after and was knocked out.

The person let him down, he was wearing all black and wore a red mask. The mask resembled the face of a Japanese demon and the man had a katana strapped on his back.

He looked at a watch on his wrist and then he tapped it before putting it close to his mouth.

"The north side patrol is out, send them in."

Sorry for leaving for four months, I know we would have been so deep into the story by now. we would have 250+ chapters if I had been writing since then but I had an exam that needed all my focus.

I lost the momentum I had from my books cause of this and I'm back but, everything is moving so slow for me.

Well, I love writing. Let's just write this story I've been planning for weeks.
