28. The crypts of hell

Outside of Avalon, there was a group of 203 people a bit far away from the back gates inside the forest.

"Where are we going now, master Silas?" Minova asked as she looked at Silas.

"To hell." Silas replied and she looked shocked for a few seconds but then she walked and caught up to him again.

"I thought hell was destroyed as the supreme emperor raided the place." Juliet said and Silas was quite surprised by her knowledge.

"You seem to know a lot." Silas said with a smile. "That's good."

Soon, they got to an open space and then Silas stopped them.

"Please don't panic everyone!!" Minova shouted from behind Silas and then Silas stretched his hand in an open space.

All of a sudden, a large flame tornado bursted out of the ground and then the people all moved backwards as the heat being emitted from such a thing was very fatal as they were all mortals.

The flames around the gate disappeared and then Silas walked forward and opened the gates before stepping in.

There were a total of 203 people in the group and they then all walked into the gates of hell and Juliet closed the gates after Karvon passed and the gate vanished in the Cultivation world.

"A few cultivators we're already approaching the gates." Karvon said and then he looked around and saw the large sanctuary in front of them and then he shook his head.

"It's great to be back. Really, it's great to be back." Karvon smiled and then he walked forward and went within the sanctuary with the others.

"Minova. This is hell, the place which was raided by the heavens. These people are now under your care. I'll take a few with me to gather some resources." Silas said and then a while later, everyone was standing in front of Hell's sanctuary.

They all stared at the historical building in awe and then Minova spoke up.

"Everyone, for today, rest, tomorrow, training starts. The sanctuary won't be open to us but then we will have to rebuild the city around it." Minova said and the people all felt hyped to be finally moving onwards with the plan of conquering the heavens.

After that, Silas, Juliet, and Karvon we're in front of a group of fifteen people and then Silas nodded as they'll be enough.

"Let's go." Silas said and then Juliet led the way into the dark forests which were out of the periphery of the ruined city.

"The ire of souls is also close to the location of the Demonic Leviathan." Karvon said as they walked forward.

"The demonic Leviathan is loyal to the king of Hell. And since you're without the crown, it would most likely kill you." Juliet said and they all just agreed on retrieving the ire.

Soon, they got to the forest and then Juliet began pointing specific trees in which they'll take fruits from.

"And make sure to not go too far within the forest, else the demonic beasts will attack you." Juliet said and then the people shivered when they heard that.

"Yes, mistress." They all replied and got to work.

Silas and the others kept going in and they soon came across a cave which went downwards and they all jumped inside without hesitation.

[Welcome to the Crypts of hell.]

Silas and the others landed on the ground where there were a few gysers around which let out hot lava. The air was very shot and Silas already began to sweat in this place.

They walked forward and soon they saw a large hole in front of them which was the main entrance into the Crypts and then they saw a wide open space, a circular tunnel of five hundred metres in diameter and green crystals on the top which illuminated the place, giving it an eerie vibe.

The constant roaring and creeping of demonic beasts in the surroundings made Silas feel a chill in his spine.

"The Crypts of hell. It surely deserves that name." Silas said and then he saw a flock of large demonic bats flying pass and Karvon stretched his arms.

"Let's go. He said and jumped down into the Crypts and Minova followed.

'Fuck it.' Silas jumped down too and he directed all his chi into his legs up to his waist and soon, he landed on the ground.

He wore his long black coat which had a symbol on it's back of two silver wings facing outwards and a sword in the middle.

He also tied the Abyssal Reckoner which he summoned from the storage ring onto his hand and then he looked at Karvon.

"Lead the way."

Karvon summoned his scythe and then stood on it's body as he flew forwards and then Silas and Juliet followed from behind.

*Clank!*

Silas slid backwards and then he looked forward to see a large creature which has the body of a man and the legs of a centipede. It was over fifteen metres tall and it's hands were extremely long two metres curved blades.

Karvon and Juliet watched from the sides while munching on some fruit they got before they entered into the crypts.

Silas sped towards the creature and then the he vanished and reappeared behind the creature. He then turned into a black blur as he zoomed passed the creature, appearing at different locations ahead it and he stopped in front of it and then he sheathed his sword and the creature fell to the ground.

"Master is really improving fast with the technique." Juliet said with a smile and then Silas walked towards the beast and placed his hand over it.

Golden streams of energy seeped out of it's body and entered into his palm and after more than ten seconds, he finished absorbing the life energy of the creature.

Silas furrowed his brows as he saw the second notification and then he looked at Juliet.

"Second level Chi master?" He asked and Karvon nodded.

"Each cultivation stage has nine levels." He said as he looked further into the tunnels.

"That means I've been skipping the stages." Silas said with a finger on his chin and then Juliet looked at him as they continued going deeper into the tunnel.

"If you skipped levels before then.. it probably means your body is trying to get to it's original cultivation stage attained in your past life." Juliet explained and Silas shook his head.

Sometimes the person, and the role he is playing is sometimes too realistic. But then it's all a game.
