After landing on the ground, and having everyone get down, Aang turned to look at everyone with an excited look on his face. Just as he was going to turn around to look for the library, Aang noticed something rather peculiar.
"What's wrong guys? Why are your faces red?"
Standing rather awkwardly, both Genji and Toph had frustrated looks on their blushing faces. They clenched their hands, feeling like they needed some sort of relief as one was blue balled and the other blue boxed.
"Nothing kid, just lead the way," said Genji, not feeling like dealing with Aang at the moment.
Sighing and rubbing the back of his head, Genji walked forward with Toph following close behind.
Feeling similar to Genji, Toph followed with a frown.
"Onward to finding the library!" exclaimed Aang, excited to find the library.
Continuing their journey on foot, the group walked around, their eyes darting around on the land, searching for a large building
Time passes and after what seemed like hours, the group found a peculiar structure sticking out of the sand.
"What is this?" Jin asked, patting the wall of the structure.
"Quick! Pass me the map," said Katara, looking excited.
Professor Zei seemed to have caught on to what Katara might be thinning and passed the paper containing the sketch of the library.
After passing the sketch, Professor Zei approached the tower and touched it, a smile spread on his face and tears threatening to escape his eyes.
Grabbing the paper and looking at it, Katara began to compare the tower before them to the sketch on the paper. Slowly matching every part of the sketch that looked similar to the tower before them, Katara found the similarity.
"This is the library…. It's one of the towers…"
"But where's the rest of the library? Did it break off or something?"
Looking at the tower with skepticism, Jin began to circle it, wondering where the rest could have gone.
Slapping the back of Jin's head, Genji wondered just where the brain cells of this kid went.
"Ah!"
Jumping, Jin ran to hide behind Aang as he looked at Genji with a cautious gaze.
"The library must be under all this sand then," Toph said, understanding what Katara was getting at.
Everyone approached the tower and looked at it, before they all decided to go inside.
The only one to remain outside was Toph who didn't wish to enter a library since it was useless for her to enter.
"If I can't see, then I can't read," was what she said as she remained outside and joined Appa, waiting for Genji and the rest.
Entering the library, Genji and the rest slowly began to walk when they had just begun to move, they had heard some sounds within the library, alerting them. Suddenly beginning to hide, save for Genji who stood in place and turned to face a certain direction.
"Genji, quick, hide!" silently yelled Katara, worried about Genji's safety.
Genji, however, was still feeling rather sour since earlier when he had been blue balled. That, and he knew that the owl wasn't going to do anything to them.
As long as they didn't mention within the library that they will use the knowledge to harm others, they can continue to stay here. But they must first pass by Wan Shi Tong and get his approval to enter the library.
How does one get his approval? By giving him knowledge that he does not know.
"Great Spirit Wan Shi Tong!" Genji yelled into the darkness where Wan Shi Tong slowly stepped out of. Not wanting to start off sour, Genji decided to take a step back to take ten steps forward by praising Wan Shi Tong a little.
After all, it's nothing but words.
"I come to your amazing library in hopes of becoming more knowledgeable and advancing forward," proclaimed Genji as he held his head high as Wan Shi Tong slowly approached.
Everyone hiding slowly came out, looking at Genji and then to Wan Shi Tong warily.
Just like in the show, Wan Shi Tong is an owl that is a bit over three meters tall. His eyes were pitch black and they seemed like they could just see through one's self.
Everyone but Genji.
Smirking in his heart, Genji looked at Wan Shi Tong with a pure and earnest gaze.
"For a human, you sure know how to act proper," praised Wan Shi Tong. "Amongst all the humans that have visited my library, you're one of the ones that seem rather pleasant."
"Thank you for the praise," said Genji, nodding his head.
"Great Spirit Wan Shi Tong!" following Genji's footsteps, Professor Zei decided to speak up. "I'm Professor Zei, head of anthropology at Ba Sing Se University."
"..."
Turning to gaze at Professor Zei, Wan Shi Tong opened his beak, "I will allow you all to enter my library and read all you like, as long as you don't use the knowledge to harm others.
I have already received a visitor like that and he destroyed every single bit of information regarding firebenders. Centuries and Millenniums piling knowledge and he destroyed my precious KNOWLEDGE!"
Flapping his wings in anger, Wan Shi Tong slowly began to frighten everyone.
'Damned bird!'
Moving quickly, Genji stood in front of everyone.
"I promise that we won't destroy a single book or scroll. If my promise is not enough, then I hope you can accept the Avatar's promise," said Genji as he pushed Aang forward and sacrificed the bald boy.
"I…"
"Hm?"
Calming down after hearing Genji's words, Wan Shi Tong turned and gazed at Aang.
As a spirit, he could see things that living beings couldn't, that mainly being other spirits and anything spirit related. Just like the Avatar, who is a fusion of a human soul and a powerful Great Spirit.
"... Very well. I'll let you peruse my vast collection, on one condition -
To prove your worth as Scholars, you have to contribute some worthwhile knowledge," explained Wan Shi Tong.
Without wasting any time, Professor Zei went up first and presented a First Edition Tome filled with knowledge he had compiled himself.
Next up was Katara who presented a scroll of waterbending, the same one she had stolen from pirates weeks ago before arriving at the Northern Water Tribe.
Not really having anything but a wanted picture of himself, Aang took it out and presented it to Wan Shi Tong, who only accepted it because he didn't have one in such good condition.
Finally, the last two were Genji and Jin.
Stepping forward with a sad gaze on his face, Jin put his hand inside his shirt before pulling out a small paper with some writing on it.
The paper was of high quality and then penmanship was exquisite to the point where even Wan Shi Tong felt slightly intrigued.
"This is a poem called '10,000 Flames Under The Night Sky', this poem was made by… my mother," said Jin, his hand trembling as he presented the piece of paper.
His face was on the verge of crying as he held back his tears.
"Amazing. The poet really caught the beauty and essence behind the flames. The poet must be a truly impressive human to have created something like this," praised Wan Shi Tong as he took the piece of paper. 'This will be going to my personal collection.'
"..."
After having his piece of paper taken, Jin's face turned into one of dread, tears streaming down his face.
Feeling terrible as he looked at Jin filled with dread, Aang went over to Jin's side and pat him on the back, comforting him.
Jin, feeling Aang's care, turned around and hugged Aang tightly, letting out his tears flow out.
The room was beginning to feel depressing.
Hell, even Genji was starting to feel a bit bad.
Scratching the back of his head, Genji pulled out a scroll from his inventory, away from prying eyes, before handing it over to Wan Shi Tong.
"This is a waterbending scroll for a move I had created myself called 'Jet Blast'," said Genji, a smile on his face.
"Interesting," said Wan Shi Tong as he took the scroll from Genji's hands. "Enjoy the library."
With that said, Wan Shi Tong turned around and jumped down further into the library, disappearing into the darkness.
Turning back to look at everyone, Genji found that Professor Zei and Katara had already left.
Katara must have believed that Aang was going to take good care of Jin and decided to go look at the waterbending books and scrolls.
Since everyone had separated already, Genji gave Aang and Jin one last glance before disappearing into the airbending section of the library.
Genji moved quickly, taking out various books and scrolls, checking whether one of them was going to give him airbending at all. Yet no matter how many books he took out, Genji didn't receive any notification as of yet.
'Is it because the system is malfunctioning?' Genji thought before looking through the books properly.
As Genji looked through the books and scrolls, Genji realized that it wasn't the case. Hence, he returned to searching, opening books and scrolls to look at them properly.
Then, it finally happened.

Looking at the system screen with some worry, Genji pressed yes and learnt airbending.
Very soon, he began to feel the inside of his body change as a new Chi Pathway was introduced to his body. The feeling was very clear as he instantly felt more connected to the air and wind blowing around him.
Putting back the scroll from where he got it from, Genji looked around with a smile on his face.
"There's one more thing I could get from here…"
Energybending!
With an excited look on his face, Genji rapidly moved, checking the books in the airbending section.
Since energybending was about the chi itself, checking the airbenders seemed like the most logical thing to do. Since they are very in tune with their bending and meditate a lot, they are the closest to having any connection to energybending.
Even if it doesn't seem to be so, Genji could go look for the Ancient Lion Turtle and the Avatar sections. There, he might find an energybending skill, even if that isn't the case, he could find a book that has some hints.
As long as he could find anything remotely similar, Genji could just attempt to reverse engineer the skill and reproduce it himself.
With four elements on hand, Genji could now feel the energy within his body more prevalent. As long as he has a hint for energybending, Genji could reproduce it and make it his.
Maybe he could get somewhere with it if he begins training his firebending even further by finally delving into Lightning Generation.
First thing's first however, Genji made it his goal to find the energybending scroll.
As long as he can reproduce energybending, Genji will never have to worry about his future.
As long as bloodbending and the Avatar exist, Genji will need protection against these two that can take away one's bending abilities.
Genji might be able to put an end to bloodbending, but the Avatar is another story.
To continue having an easygoing life, Genji needs the Avatar alive so that they always do the hard work and no one ever relies on him.
Both the Avatar and Bloodbenders also serve as pretty handy guards that can protect him.
Suddenly, Genji heard a ding and his eyes lit up as he thought that he finally found the energybending skill. With hopeful eyes, Genji looked at the glitchy blue screen before frowning and discovering that it wasn't the case.

Sighing, Genji shook his head and continued searching.
'Only 99.99% of the library left to search,' Genji joked with an unamused expression on his face. 'This will be a very tiring search. I'm glad I bought a ton of snacks beforehand…'
