Khloe's POV
After work that day, I made my way to the restaurant Lance had invited me to and it didn't take long before I could spot where he was seated.
Taking a deep breath and with my chin held high, I made my way towards the table.
"I'm sorry for coming late." I said with an apologetic tone as I slowly lowered myself on the chair across him.
"Come on, you don't need to apologize as I just arrived myself." He waved me off as he beckoned to a waiter who quickly arrived at our table.
After taking our orders, he took his leave only to return a few minutes later with our orders.
"Thank you for coming here." Lance said whilst I just nodded.
Deep down, I wanted to walk out on him but I couldn't bring myself to do so.
To think he had connived with my sister to make a fool out of me and here we are sharing the same table was something I couldn't wrap my head about.
