Brighton Town

The Town was relatively close to the mansion of the Longheart with a central plaza where the mansion of the magister was situated Klaus Miller the patriarch of the Miller clan was appointed by the royals long time ago and he has maintaining that equilibrium of powers in town between the forces of the Els, Morgan, Longheart and the Miller clan.

In the central street of the Town is where the big bussines stores are locate. The auction house, weapons , chothes stores and many others. I decided to not go to the central street stores because I am trying to not create suspicious comments, making words arrive to my family clan. I took the route to the artisan street that posses many stores and restaurants , besides the goods are cheaper. I decide to enter a general store close to a restaurant a middle man was in the counter.

"hello i would like to know if you buy meat , fresh kill in the afternoon"

" yes, all depends the animal"

I put my bag in the counter the middle man look inside and said.

" 3 bronze coins"

" That is your final offer?" I was looking directly to his eyes a trick from my students years.

" because you are a little boy I will give you 3 more bronze coins"

I push a little saying " and a hunter knife"

" deal" the man paid me and put a raw knife similar to a kA-BAR knife of 7 inch , the knife was heavy I hide under my clothes. I was happy with the sale , because I made my first money here in this world , I probably was scam but the important part was that I get goods. The coin system here is 1 gold coin equals 10 silver,

1 silver equals 10 bronze and 1 bronze equal 100 quartzs. A regular family could have an income of 5 silver a year and a poor family could survive with 5 bronze coins a year.

I started walking to the door when the middle man said to me

" Kid if you get more meat come here I will pay price market for it and you will not lose here"

I decide to visit a blacksmith and I walk to the end of the street, I started to look the weapons rack , and I saw several axs, until my eyes went to a small ax similar to a tomahawk, in the counter was a beatiful girl with red hair.

" how much for the small ax in the small rack"

she smiling said " for you 3 bronze coins"

I took time to respond watching her green eyes

" deal, but I want a knife sheath for this knife"

she laugh looking the knife and told me

" This knife is a low weapon any crash and will be broken or bend"

" How do you know"

"My father is the blacksmith here ,I just know"

" I don't much money could you recomend to me to a decent knife , she took a knife similar to my KA-BAR sheathed and say .

" 2 bronze coin"

I looked to her smilling and pay 5 bronze coins.

she took the raw kinfe and hit the wood counter the blade bend with the momentum , later she took her knife and hit the counter the blade dent the wood and was true, no chip or dent to the edge and still sharp.

I took the knife and sheath with the tomahawk and put them in my belt. I said thanks to her with small bow and walked out the street.

I walked fast because Travis have alert me that two people was following me since I abandon the general store, I decide to loss then in the corner of the streets when I hide in shadow of the next street. I heard them pass me fast and cursing.

" we loss him , do you believe that he know that we are following him"

"who knows"

I took another direction and decide to enter a clothes store I request a cheap hood brown tunic and a small bag , the cost was 20 quartz , I paid and change my clothes, hide the tomahawk, I started to walk in direction home dark was coming , when I hear a woman voice asking for help. My mind was asking me to help her, but that could be a trap.

"Travis can you scan the Alley " , I push my body to the near wall.

I took my tomahawk in my left hand and the knife in my right, I have trown axs as a hobby many years ago in college. I move to the end of the Alley slow until 10 meters front the end of the Alley when I saw one of the man riding a woman the other was waiting his turn I decide to eliminate that garbage, first the waiting guy.

I am aiming my tomahawk and trow to his back the impact make him scream and fall to the ground. I rushed to the rapist guy that is trying to pull his pant up I stab him in the liver and with my head I hit his face. I know that one stab to the liver(right upper cuadrant) is 10 to 20 second before he will death, I kick the other guy and retire my ax hitting him again in his skull.

I vomit wachting to much blood but the idea of stand against this two animals in human skin make me feel better. The woman was crying I took her and saying.

" all is ok now they are dead we need to go now"

I check the clothes of the two rapist and I found some coins and two knifes and one small sword. I took a long cap and put the money in the woman hand and decide to abandon the Alley. I pull the women to the next house and we cross to other Alley many steps were coming close to us, but everything was becoming dark we walk around 10 minutes, until we stop in a conner.

"Are you feeling better?" the woman was probably in the 30s , she was crying and she has nice face features.

"I am better now, thanks for your help"

" could you tell me what happened to you that you finished in the that alley?"

She told me that she live with her mom and little son 3 years old like 10 blocks from here, her husband die in the last noble wars and she works in a dress store that today was to late when she left the job and took a different route. she was kidnapped in the alley and pushed to the end.

I listened to her story and told her.

"you should go home and forget everything that happened today, tomorrow send your mom to the store, saying that you are sick, take this money( 8 bronze and 10 quartz) and live. if the destiny wants we will see again."

I accompanied her until her house and before entering she told me.

" my name is Lorrie"

I walked in the night until I arrive home .Elien was worry waiting for me in the door.

"Aran I was very worried for you"

" sorry mom i lose the meaning of the time in the town"

I lied but I could not said the true to her.

"Mom i have 80 quartz and I bought some stufs like this 2 knifes and this small sword for our protection"

Elien looked to me like this silly boy spend the money in this things.

"Mom i am so tire i will go to my room "

I passed her fast to my room and felt in my old bed . I decide to sleep tomorrow will be another day.
