A Strange Planet

When Miller threw the device on the stone, he expected it to just break into pieces and nothing else, but it actually brought out a red light and swallowed him, the officer and James.

The officer knew beforehand what would happen if the teleporter was thrown to the floor that is why he had informed him that he did not know what he was messing with.

BANG***

The officer, Miller, and James/Edmund had all been engulfed by the red light. James was no longer in charge of the body; Edmund was.

They were all on a different planet when they all awoke, and it was obvious from the atmosphere of the planet that they had left Earth.

On this odd world, the skies appeared a little bit red.

The unknown planet had quite gloomy skies. Not as sunny as on Earth, it was. The place where they landed was sandy, though not all of the planet was sandy; it was just the area where they landed. The planet was the same size as Mercury, which was 2,439.7 km. It had one red light source that was also red; the source of light was in a crescent shape and it was as red as blood.

The officer touched his wrist while wearing a white suit around his torso and tiny black stripes over his shoulder. He had what appeared to be a digital watch on his wrist.

He was a little perplexed by what appeared on his watch-like device when he tapped his wrist. Miller and Edmund, who was still lying on the ground, were unable to see because of the officer's full-face mask.

The office declared, "This planet is unknown to mankind; we are on an unknown planet." "Look at what you have done, you have teleported us into an unknown planet!" the officer yelled as he turned to face Miller. "When I told you not to touch what you don't understand, you did not listen now look at what you have done!"

Miller became enraged as the man shouted, "You wanted to harm a good man for no reason; i had to save him."

The officer yelled aggressively at Miller, "He is not a man, he is a Mutant."

You are a mutant, aren't you, too? Miller spoke to the officer. Since Miller was also true, the officer chose not to respond. He pretended it was a rhetorical query.

In order to see whether he might learn anything, the officer kept checking his watch rather than bothering to respond.

He could see this on his watch:

It was as if the more he tried to gather information about the planet, the more the computer AI was having more problems and now the computer AI was just showing question marks.

All Anti-Meta officers all had a system AI that was installed in their watch like device. The watch was square in shape was dark black. The AI only responded to the voice of its owner. The system AI was connected to a larger AI which was at the Anti-Meta officers base.

"i hope we are not stuck" said the officer to himself.

Edmund was now whispering to James inside their heads, "I can now feel our legs." Since they arrived on the planet, Edmund and James have been getting better. James/Edmund have superhuman healing powers.

As Edmund/James both stood up, Edmund stated to James, "I think i can now feel every part of our body." Miller and the officer both reacted in alarm as they moved a bit backwards as soon as James stood up.

Although mutants are known to possess special talents, this has never been reported before. Both of them had witnessed James use his eyes' thermal vision, but it was now obvious that he also possesses tremendous healing skills.

The officer responded, taking a fighting position, "don't try to do anything funny."

Edmund responded, "Are we still fighting, it's getting tiresome, our major goal should be how we may leave this planet and not fighting with each other.

The moment Edmund stated those remarks, the officer nodded in agreement.

As he continued to work close by, Edmund shook hands with both of them.

The officer explained to Edmund, "We are only operating on this planet as a team until we leave, and then we would go our separate ways.

"How do we get out of here?", Edmund questioned the officer.

The officer remarked, looking at Milker with a bad eye, "We are in an unknown planet and i cannot teleport us back to Earth, because your friend here broke my teleporter. Let's just pray we catch up with some Anti-Meta Human travellers."

The government hired mutants known as anti-meta humans to go and explore other planets so they could provide them with knowledge. They received pay that was significantly more than that given to the Anti-Meta Officers.

"i never knew this would happen" Miller said trying to remove the blame on his shoulders.

"I told you not to mess with that device, didn't i?" the officer replied angrily.

Edmund who was now a little tired of the uncessary chatter said: "it's okay, argument would not make it any better".

After hearing Edmund voice they both calmed down a little, but still mumurring quietly. James who also hard super hearing could hear them murmuring.

"It's okay, we should focus on how to leave the planet and nothing else!" he shouted at both of them and unknown to him, his eyes had turned red indicating he would hit them with his heat vision in any minute. They both kept quiet both not just because of what Edmund had said but also because they could hear the feel the ground shaking a little bit.

Now that the ground was violently trembling, they started to feel uneasy. It appeared as though something was ready to emerge from the earth.

"What is happening?" Miller questioned in a panicked tone. His speech was trembling. Edmund himself was terrified. The well-trained officer wasn't in the least bit unnerved.

James whispered to Edmund in their heads, scared, "Let's just fly, why can't you just fly or levitate, it is clear from the way the ground is shaking it is clear something is about to erupt."

James retorted, "I don't know how to do it," from Edmund.

"but you flew with our body last time so what is wrong this time?" James said in their head and it was clear from the way he was speaking that he was scared. Even Edmund was also scared.

"I could only fly if i can generate body hest, last time when i flew, i could feel a blue energy leaving my body and i flew, but this tine, i cannot even feel a thing" Edmund responded back.

The grounds were now shaking ten times faster than before and this now made even the officer a little scared. Cracks started to appear on the floor and gradually the floor around them started to open like it wanted to swallow them like some kind of snack.

They started running, because Edmund/James were panicking they could not use their bodies super speed, so instead they were running like a human.

Because of how quickly the ground cracked, the cracks had now caught up to them.

Miller, who was behind them all, was now trapped by the opened ground, and he sank into the opened floor. The opened ground had already grown to the size of an elephant, was expanding quickly, and had now caught up to James, swallowing him whole as well as the officer. Inside the open ground was nothing except darkness.

All of them had been ingested and immediately they were swallowed the ground closed itself like nothing had happened.
