Dalley, a true master and owner of Flower Creek Club, generously gifted a five percent ownership of the club to Colby as a reward for winning the flower competition.
Although it was only five percent, and the shares were non-transferable, the profits from Flower Creek Club were unimaginably large. Even such a small shareholdings could instantly turn a penniless beggar into a millionaire, or even a multimillionaire.
Even for someone like Colby, who was accustomed to extravagant splurging, he had to admit that Dalley's move was grand.
However, Colby wasn't interested in the shares himself. He asked to transfer the shares to Basil Jaak. His reasoning was that without Jaak's tip, he would never have known the traits of the black chrysanthemum, and thus, wouldn't have won the competition.
After all, his King Sword Orchid bloomed rarely, but the black chrysanthemum was equally delightful.
"Mr. Word, do you mind if I transfer the shares to Jaak?" Colby ceremonially asked Dalley.
