Chapter 212: Resignation?

Seeing Basil Jaak suddenly appear, Jessica Flack's face showed shock, with a faint hint of joy at the corners of her mouth as she asked, "Weren't you in East Sea City a few days ago? You're back? Heh, you actually have time to visit me?"

In her tone, Basil Jaak heard a distinct sourness.

"I returned yesterday. Mr. Flack, not having seen you for a few days, haha, you look even more radiant."

Jessica Flack leaned back in her office chair, smiled slightly, and crossed her legs as she said, "You didn't come here just to flatter me, did you?"

She asked Lydia White, "White, why did you come with him?"

This question was laden with meaning. Hearing it, Lydia couldn't help but feel a bit nervous and said with her head lowered, "Oh, we just ran into each other outside."

"Is that so." Jessica Flack smiled faintly, clearly not believing that Basil Jaak and Lydia just happened to run into each other. If it were that coincidental, how come she hadn't run into Basil Jaak?
