Cliche Character in the Shadows (Dropped/Might reboot)

A child who suffered immensely had his new start to life cut off by a supernova which not only brought him, but others as well. This is a 'To be a Power in the Shadows' fanfic, the manga is called 'The Eminence in Shadow' instead. Very serious at the start to create the cliche hero backstory but once he meets Shadow then it will become comedic since the original's the same as well. I don't know if my writing will be funny though, so please give suggestions on how to write comedic scenes.
