#PROJECT TIME

The entire college had a clear idea about the friendship Jake shared with his friends. They shared an inseparable bond, the bond which was equivalent or much greater than their family.

Jake is a musician. He was the no 1 singer at St Helen's. There was no such competition where he didn't win over others.

Krisann and Kate were excellent dancers. Like Jake they won many awards and rewards.

Cole was a photographer. He is the head of the photography department of our college while Charlie is a sportsman. He was the football captain of our college.

These amazing qualities in combination to their good looks made them very public and famous.

Sometimes I find myself very attracted to Jake but then this is very common and normal for the students of St Helen's. Who knew that God was eagerly listening to what I thought and had already made plans for me.

The next day when I went to the college, our HOD dropped a bomb and it seems he clearly directed that upon me. So accordingly our entire batch was paired in group of 2 for a project and fortunately or unfortunately I was paired with Jake.

When my teacher announced this, I felt like a big boulder falling over my head.

The happiest among all was Cole. He was paired with Lili, his girlfriend.

Ryan was paired with Charlie and I knew this pissed her off but like every other student she had no other choice.

Our project was a tedious task. It was not a normal project. It required field survey and observations which meant spending more time with Jake.

On top of that we were given only 3 days to prepare and begin the survey.

I turned back to look at Jake and I found him staring at me. I was a bit dazed. The class soon got over. I knew I had to speak to Jake , so I took his number from a classmate and texted him to meet me in the lounge after the lunch break.

Ryan and me together headed for canteen. She was very annoyed with her partner.

I got a chance to irritate her and I didn't step back.

" I am so sorry for you Ryan",

"I feel bad for you",

"You are going to enjoy your days with charlie" was all I repeated the entire time I was with her in the canteen.

After that, both of us headed our own ways. I was going to the lounge and Ryan was heading home.

When I reached the lounge it was empty. I waited for 15 mins but Jake was no where to be found. This irritated me . I decided to wait for some more time but that brought no other changes. He still wasn't there.

My level of patience ran out and just as I turned to leave I banged into a hard thing. and this hard thing was none other than Jake but I didnt even feel like looking at his face since I was already very irritated.

I didn't feel like initiating any conservation so without looking at him I ran out. He was surprised for a while but then maybe realized the matter and ran after me.
