Hundred and Twenty-Two: Celebrations in the night.

News had filtered through of the capitulation of Grant's lawsuit cases. He had chosen to accept a plea deal in return for a guilty plea. The plea deal meant he could exit the prison before all his hairs were gray, but not all would escape the predicament. His accomplices had refused to play ball and after Grant had given in to the threats of the prosecutors, their testimonies became redundant and hence, if convicted, they were going to spend a long time behind bars and thick concrete walls, in the absence of freedom.

Jade, Cindy, Jake, Angela, Ayanda, Linda and Elizabeth were once again at the motel celebrating this victory of epic proportion. It was ironic that they were celebrating at the very place where some of the crimes had been committed against them. It did not matter however, the place looked entirely different.

They popped a bottle of bubbly and as it effervesced out of the bottle, they wooed and cheered as dusk signaled the onset of the night.
