"Let go of me!" I yelled, trying to get free from my so-called psycho boyfriend. "I want to devour you. Right here, and right now." He declared with an authoritative voice, causing me to swallow my saliva hard, for I felt disgusted. I don't want to seem weak in front of him, so I decided to act smart. "Let go of me you jerk." Immediately after letting out my statement, Brian held my chin forcefully, as he leaned closer to me. He smirks devilishly and was about to place his lips on mine, which causes me to spit on his face. "You stink!" I coursed. Brian got so angry, and he raised his fist, ready to hit me on my cheek... But all of a sudden the door of the restaurant flies open. A young handsome man with a completely white outfit suddenly made his way inside the restaurant. He seems like a white knight in charming armor, who's coming to rescue the poor me from being assaulted. _________ They say being fat, and chubby is a freaking bad thing, but as for me, being fat is what makes me. Me! Seriously! Do all girls have to look like barbie dolls? I'm Ashley Connor and I'm freaking fat. Having an online boyfriend is something that I admire, and lucky for me, I met Brian Fergus. He's everything a lady could ever dream of, but after meeting him in reality. I figured out that he's a beast. Getting away from him is my biggest concern, and just when I finally found a white knight in shining armor, I became stunned to figure out that he was gay…. Well! That was what he had proclaimed to be. "What would happen when I no longer want to be Brian forever?" "Can I be able to make Mister White Knight fall in love with me?"
"YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED!" My mother yelled in a commanding tone.
This is the first time my mother has become enraged at me.
"Mom!" With a low tone, I called out her name.
She breathes out. "I'm truly sorry, Ashley." My mother quickly apologized, patting my back. "I sincerely apologize. Just that I've spent so much time looking for suitors that I've gotten carried away." She continued.
My tense heart relaxed as I smiled broadly at her. "I get it, Mom." I mumble before turning around to walk back to my room.
"Are you serious? You don't need a husband anymore?" My father inquired.
He tried to sound calm, but I can tell he's doing everything he can to remain calm.
"Yeah. Aside from that, I've decided to start a fashion design business..."
"Fashion design?" "You've never attended a fashion school, so how are you going to cope?" My mother inquired, her brow furrowed as she cut me off from my statement.
"I'll go to school, Mom. It won't take me more than two years, and I'll be done before I know it." I declare with a smile.
My mother forced a smile across her lips and stroked my hair. "I'm extremely proud of you." My mother declares, smiling.
I want to believe her statement, but it's hard to believe.
It's strange because I can tell her words didn't come from her mind.
Beside! My father does not have a genuine smile on his face.
"Thank you, Mom!" I force myself to mumble before proceeding to my room.
I lye on my bed, staring at the ceiling.
My parents' recent behavior has been quite shocking, and I suspect there is more to it.
It was as if they really wanted me to get married at all cost.
'Arrhh! 'Right now, my mind is a mess.' I mumble to myself before getting out of bed to go for a nice afternoon walk.
I didn't have my Mister White Knight's phone number, so I called Charlotte instead. "Hello, bestie! How are things over there?" Charlotte inquired, which was immediately the call was connected.
"Not much at all." I responded before explaining everything that had happened since I arrived.
"So you're saying Mister White Knight is currently in country Z, and your online boyfriend is also in country Z?" Charlotte inquired.
Despite the fact that I can't see her, I can tell she had arched her brows.
"You have to put the pieces together quickly," I declare.
"Gosh! This is enormous. I can't believe two men are vying for your affections right now. That could explain why your parents want you to marry because they believe Brian is the one for you." Charlotte remarked sarcastically.
I let her finish her sentence without interrupting her. "Are you finished?" I interrogate, my brow furrowed.
"I apologize!" Charlotte apologized because she realized what she said wasn't funny to me.
"I'm just worried about my parents' recent behavior. It's almost as if they had.... " I utter halfway, deciding that jumping to conclusions at this point isn't appropriate.
"Just be extra cautious, okay?" You never know what's going to happen next.
I exhale. "Thanks bestie." I mumble.
"Welcome love! And kindly round up everything that you are doing there. I miss you a lot." Charlotte declare.
"I miss you even more." Before hanging up, I utter.
I had hoped that talking to my best friend would help me think clearly, but it didn't.
It's already past five o'clock, so I decided that walking around the block might help me think clearly instead.
I'm not sure why, and I can't explain why, but I ran into Mister White Knight again while walking down the street.
Constantly bumping into him is a little suspicious.
Aside from that, I had once bump into him in country K and is now in country Z.
I decided to act as if I hadn't noticed him. Because apart from that, I don't have the energy to start teasing him. "Hey!" Mister White Knight declares this time, waving his hands at me.
"Good day." I smiled as I walked past him.
Surprisingly, he followed me. "Are you okay?" He inquired, his brow furrowed.
"What if I say NO? Can you possibly make me feel better?" With a hoarse voice, I inquire.
He didn't see it coming and raised his hand.
"Take it easy, young lady. I'm not the cause of your problem." He says before turning around and walking away.
His recent behavior made me reconsider. 'Perhaps it might be that we just happen to run into each other by chance.' I reasoned within myself.
"Hey!" I turned around and called out to him.
Mister White Knight halt as he waits for me to close the gap between us. "I've told you numerous times that my name isn't Miss or Young Lady. My name is Ashley...."
"Was that the reason you called me?" He interrupted me as I was about to finish my previous statement.
"Ohh! I apologize for my previous behavior." I apologized quickly.
He nods and continues on his way. "Won't you ask me why I'm so annoyed right now?" I inquired.
He laughed. "Are you expecting me to ask you why you're acting like a baby?" Mister White Knight inquired, teasingly.
"Yeah!" I responded shamelessly.
Mister White Knight looks at me, his gaze deep in my eyes. "Why are you depressed, young Lady?" He inquired formally.
I find myself answering his question because I need someone to talk to. "I have a feeling my parents want me to marry as soon as possible." I murmur.
He breathes out. "Isn't that obvious?" He inquired, which caused a puzzled expression to appear on my face.
"What do you mean by obvious?" I inquire.
Mister White Knight did not respond as he walked towards the popcorn stand. "Your parents arrange blind dates for you all the time; isn't that a goot reason for you to be aware of their motives?" He asked, his brow furrowed.
"My parents only arrange blind dates for me because I ask them to," I defended my parents.
"Then can you explain why they sometimes arrange suitors for you even before you ask?" Mister White Knight's question prompted me to consider the possibility.
