Chapter 23

That morning, everyone in the set was too lively and energetic. The host of the morning talk show is a witty and funny woman named Felicia. She was already in showbiz for almost twenty years. Meeting Francheska in person before the morning talk show started, Host Felicia already had a good impression of her. 

Unlike some famous artists she knew, Francheska greeted them politely. She did not ignore anyone in the set and politely talked with them. She did not act so high and haughty, unlike the other celebrity. No wonder a lot of people like her.

It was also the same with Francheska. This host gave her a welcoming vibe the moment they met each other earlier. Because of it, Francheska had fun answering all the questions prepared by Host Felicia. She also indulged in interacting with the audience. After two hours, the show has finally come to an end.

Host Felicia thanked Francheska for accepting her interview before leaving her dressing room. Rissa already organized her things and gave a new set of clothes to Francheska. After changing her clothes, Francheska walked outside the building. She was met by a group of fans who were chanting her name. Before she gets inside the van, Francheska waved her hand to her fans which they replied with happy cheers. After that, Francheska finally gets inside her van together with her manager.

"You want something to eat or drink first?" Rissa asked.

"Of course! I want a large cup of chocolate milkshake and a huge bowl of potato fries!" Francheska happily replied.

"Okay. A cup of carrot shake and a small bowl of vegetable salad." Rissa said as she ordered the food she had mentioned just now on a restaurant that also delivered their food.

"Hey! It is all vegetables! I am not a rabbit who only eats vegetables for lunch!"

"Who said that you will only eat vegetables for lunch?"

Rissa ordered a few more dishes and told them the address where to deliver it. After that, she looked at Francheska who is looking at her with a frown on her pretty face.

"It is your lunch for today. After your schedule this afternoon, we will eat at the nearby restaurant. I will let you eat a plate of steamed fish later for dinner."

"I am not a cat!" Francheska protested. "Why am I eating these kinds of food again?"

"Why don't you ask yourself about it?" Rissa questioned her back. "If you did not eat a lot of greasy and oily food these past three days, then you do not have to suffer like that today. I will even graciously allow you to eat a whole chicken leg."

"But—"

"Do you want me to remember that you easily get fat after eating a lot of oily and greasy food in just a whole day? Oh, by the way. You have to run on the treadmill later for three hours."

"Can I only do it for one hour only?" Francheska negotiated.

"No." Rissa firmly refused. "We have to burn all the calories you had taken if we still want your career as an idol."

"You are such a bully."

"Ms. Francheska Cruz, this bully really cares not only for your health but also for your image as a celebrity. Now stop whining."

In the end, Francheska did not say anything and quietly accepted her manager's words. That is right. Technically speaking, her endorsements are actually paying for her figure and image. That is the real world for a celebrity like her. Once a celebrity loses their image and good qualities, then there will be no room for them in the show business.

"By the way, do you want to accept to be a special guest in this drama?" Rissa asked.

The director of this teenage drama texted Rissa yesterday if it is possible for Francheska to be a special guest on the show. She will only act in one episode where her role is a young doctor who desperately wants to save her patient. Her special appearance in this drama will surely increase their viewership ratings.

"Can we still accept it?" She asked.

"Of course. The producer sends me a PDF file of the script and the taping will only consume a whole day to finish since you will only stay in the hospital to shoot your scenes."

"Oh. Can I think about it first?"

After all, Francheska still has to prepare for her new upcoming movie.

"Sure, you can. But expect the director to ask and pursue you about it." Rissa reminded her.

When they arrived at their destination, a staff member guided them inside until they reach a huge dressing room they assigned for Francheska. They told her to rest here for the meantime while they are organizing the lists of auditionees outside to avoid any unnecessary problems. Rissa left Francheska for a while to pick up their food in the reception area. Francheska made herself comfortable as she plays an RPG game on her phone. Minutes later, Rissa returned with two paper bags in her hands.
